  • The name is how it sounds. This is nearly every overhang trick I could think of. I have had many people all me to do one of these tutorials. If you can master all of the techniques in this tutorial, you will be able to do virtually anything with your roof.
    I called it a complete guide for this reason. I got you find it helpful. Sorry for the super long tutorial, there were so many things to cover. I hope it helps!

    Don’t apologize for vid length this is a very detailed, well done tutorial. For now many of these techniques are ‘over my head’ time & material-wise, but will definitely be a great reference when I’m ready for a new unique build. And… I’m sure I won’t be the only one rewatching again & again for these tips & tricks. Thank you for sharing Moonlight!🤠👍

      It takes time. I didn't figure all of this out in a day or a month. My hope is that it doesn't come off as so intimidating that no one will attempt the more challenging ideas in my little bag o' tricks. Thank you for watching Lisa!

    As always, appreciate these lessons so much. It's really nice to have multiple ways to accomplish the same task. I have been using roofs instead of floors for a while now thanks to you. I'm even finishing up a treehouse project using the tips you gave me. I keep a playlist saved of all the building videos for easy access. 👍

      Glad to share what I know! There's a few people I tend to watch for ideas. LucyJanePlays, TNG for Camp Locations, and Greengrass28g are among the top tutorial guides I look for. But if there is someone with a really cool never-before-seen tricks I definitely sub and bookmark! Thank you my friend for all of the support and warm comments!

    I just built my new camp and I'm 95% done with the all the deco. I'm feeling good because I've got underpinnings, double walls, drop merges, lighting tricks, and blueprints. Then I see this video. Now I'm debating starting over just so I can add overhanging roofs.
    I really do want to thank you for all of your videos. After watching yours and some of the other content creators I'm starting to understand the "fundamental physics" of advanced building in FO76.

      That's awesome! I'm just glad to have enough knowledge to share with everyone. I hope that anyone looking to build the camp of their dreams will feel empowered to do so with a few tutorials and some practice. I wouldn't necessarily start over, but you may be able to incorporate some custom roof tweaks if you wish to do so. Then the next build go nuts with the roof lol! Glad you are finding these videos to be useful!

      You’re right. I may not have to start completely over. It’s not a huge structure either. Maybe with a little patience I can do it without knocking it all down.

      Yeah, it was my longest video ever. It took weeks to compile all of the footage I needed. But my hope was to minimize the amount of pushback from people saying I missed something. I mean... I'm sure I forgot a few tricks, but I really wanted a one-stop shop for anyone trying roof overhangs. Thanks for all the love mate!

      @@MoonlightCowboyGaming No trust me, I needed the long video. Some of the building is so technical that if someone does a video that just highlights what needs to be done I would never be able to do it. Again, I appreciate your time and time you put in to explaining everything so thoroughly. I really wanted to learn how to do this because I love the look of the overhanging roof so much.

  • @Cheap_Coffee

    How do you fit the walls to the overhanging roofs without having them clip through? I especially love the quarter lenght overhanging roofs, but I am having a hard time fitting them onto my walls without leaving a gap or having my walls stick through the roofs.
    Edit: Nevermind, you actually explained it perfectly! I keep getting impressed with your tutorials and tips, you're an absolute lifesaver

      Sweet! I'm glad you were able to find what you needed. I almost didn't include that last part, but then decided that it wouldn't make sense to do such a detailed video without including how to do the walls lol. Thanks dude watching!

    I always love your builds. May i ask about the garage door? In fallout 4, you could set it to be opened inside and outside. Is there a way to do that in 76?

    • @MoonlightCowboyGaming
      @MoonlightCowboyGaming  3 месяца назад +2

      Yeah you can do that. The easy mode way would be to destroy the garage door. Then put the switch inside the wall sticking out on both sides and repair.

    What bundle from Bethesda web and the shop you guys suggest in order to get like good stuff for building?

    • @MoonlightCowboyGaming
      @MoonlightCowboyGaming  3 месяца назад +2

      Catwalks are priority #1
      Utility Fusion Generator is priority #2
      Vines are priority #3
      For structural item, I highly recommend the Abandoned Mine set, the Greenhouse set, the Clean Ranch set, the Army Base set, and the RIP set.
      For lighting and decor, I recommend the Kwanzaa bundle, the Miniature Holiday Bundle (the one with the Miniature Lampposts), and any plant or succulents bundles.
      For clean builds, the Clean Bathroom set is a must have.
      Not all of these bundles are available via Bethesda Support, but keep an eye out for them when they come back around in the shop.
