When wanting to lift a floor by a half wall, while keeping a shared grid, simply use the foundation ramp. It’s exactly the height of a half wall, you can snap flat foundations to it, and you can remove it once you have another floor attached. Way easier than eyeballing it.
For half wall offsets (granted that the terrain allows you) I just use the slope foundation, build off that, remove the slope and add a regular flat foundation. You can then add half walls along the elevated foundation pieces. I then choose a half wall to destroy with the flame trap, add stairs in place of the destroyed wall and then repair the wall. Destroy side walls first as well if they're likely to be in the way of the stairs.
Hey Noodlepants - great video. I tried to follow it step by step on a SUPER steep incline a little west of Grinestone Arch in Skylien Valley. Its SUUUPER steep. I was able to get down a few foundations, put some half walls in, and then put a few foundations behind. However, i wsant able to really bring it all home. I think it's TOO steep sadly. Also, I think being on PC and trying to make micro-adjustments is brutal. If youre ever bored and want to try one of those SUPER steep incline builds, I'm there :)
Very nice build and so proud of those beautiful underpinnings! The trained eye of a builder in 76 can always tell when a player has put much time and heaps of patience into it.
A "bit" improved...? 😂 This is so much cooler than the original one. Thank you for this video as I was one who hoped you would show us how. I tried my own and it is similar but still barely scratches the surface in the creativity department compared to yours. 🔥💯

OMG your voice is a twin to Will Romos’s girlfriend, Eve (she’s French). Definitely got a new follower because of how you explained everything and I like your technique and style…..and your voice of course lol.
Half wall offset is much easier with using the ramp floors so you don’t need to eyeball anything, just gotta mess with build order to get rid of the ramp floor. Also, you can burn the half wall, snap on stairs then repair the half wall to keep the continuity
Instead of using a half walls and trying to line up the foundation, I would rather use the ramp foundations to get the hight. This way you can get the half wall height that you need by using snapping. It's 100 % accurate.
When I need to step my foundation up I always use the half post in the stairs section. It’ll snap to the edge of the floor and snap a foundation half way up then you can delete the half stair post
This is amazing. And for the next ones, the ramp thing in Stairs, align the floors half wall high. You can use to align up and down, while all construction is snapped. And after, I replace the ramp with concrete or wood stairs
What an absolutely amazing video, I learned so much from watching it, quick question was that the fort catwalk that you used to put the half walls to cover the foundations?
Yes. The same catwalks that I used as actual catwalks later in the video, but it doesn't matter what kind you use. It's just to trick the floor tile into clipping the wall going down into the dirt. Take that catwalk pice away once that's done.
I use the foundation ramp block to go up half wall height, place it off your lower foundation, then add a standard foundation to it then remove the ramp block, perfect alignment every time.
Its interesting and informative. I never did enjoy the whole invisible sloping effect foundation tiles have when set down at any height. And i doubt Bethesda will remove that annoying invis slope from the foundation tiles... so half walling sounds like an interesting trick to try out the next time i have enough Atoms to get another camp slot.
Not a fan of the flamethrower technique. I never take the time to use it. But yes, that would work, for now. Soon they will take that flamethrower glitch away from us. -Noodle

You can keep the half wall while still putting in a staircase attached. Just flame the halfwall, place the stairs, and then repair the wall.

Half stair posts can be used to do the half height floors (unless they have patched that out)
They can, but they don't snap. I had to manually align it in the first version of this build.

@@Gamer_Aviator I have the stuff to merge glitch just haven’t tried it yet lol but thanks 😊
Очень красиво и необычно.
Большое спасибо
I wasnt able to merge the catwalk and half wall, gives me that red cannot place item 😢
idk why I cant get the catwalk wall mege to work for the skirting, I sometimes can but if the foundation is to low, its a no go.
The terrain may be rocky. Make sure it’s only grass. Use half walls only, and don’t sink the floor tiles too deep.
How do you do the small/minute movements??
I have all my settings tuned to the slowest possible option. That and LOTS of practice.
