Gotta give a comment. Ive been struggling topping my 3 wood for 2 years. Therw would be times where i would crush it and it was my best club and others where i absolutely was crushed by it. I’ve found over the years that positioning the ball in the middle of my stance enables me to make the best contact with my 3 & 5 woods. Even when I hit them off the tee.

Hey Todd, hi again from Australia. I’m one of your experienced golfers from down under and I love your work. I have been working hard to eliminate sway in my swing lately and focusing on the change in foot pressure through the swing without introducing excessive sway. It’s a hell of a challenge given in the 70s, when I first started to play, we were taught to wind up from the floor and then just unwind to hit the ball. We’ll that’s how I understood the instruction. After a 20 year break I’m back into it and I’m determined to clean up the swing while I can still move. I only follow a few channels for instruction and yours is a must watch. Thanks for what you do.

I’m at the point where my handicap is around 20 and I can drill the ball good distance with each club but the instances of topping the ball, particularly with fairway woods and hybrids is insanely frustrating and still costs me several shots per round. Looking forward to trying out your 3 pointers here in the next few days.

I purchased your vertical line video package….A lot of good informative instructions. One area I find clarification needed is swaying. Your drill is keeping pressure or weight over your left foot, yet one hallmark of your swing is going from 60/40 to 80 over your right side. How does this drill for swaying instill this movement? The only thing I could think of was to bump your hips to the center of your feet then pivot. Thx. Tom
This is a great question, we want to move the pressure (weight) from the lead foot to the trail foot early in the backswing. The key is to do this while keeping the weight on the inside of the trail foot vs the outside. The drill mentioned is to help the upper body movement not so much for lower body. Hope that helps...appreciate the support!
I have a question I just started golfing and have a cheaper set of clubs. My question is what type of irons should a beginner get if there club speed is 120 mph. The reason I know it's that high I went to a gold shop and they had a full set up it was awesome.
Look for a set that is player forgiving with a cavity back design. When purchasing a set of clubs, it is worth the time and effort to do a club fitting which should be free if you purchase. Hope that helps..

Todd what advice or direction would you give me on putting alignment after loosing the vision for in my left eye. I’ve lost my depth perception and peripheral vision Any help would be appreciated
When I move the ball back in the stance I tend to hit it to the right - like a push/slice - It feels like I can't get the club face closed in time to make the hit - especially when I am hitting the 3 wood but also with the 3 hybrid - if I move the ball forward a bit so I can time the face closing I hit the tops - inconsistency is really hurting my swing - Driver I am OK and 6 thru wedges no problems ; but as a Senior experienced golf the lack of distance causes me to try to hit the 3W to get it around the green on some of the longish Par 4s. Ugh - golf is hard.
I'm topping my FW woods and hybrids but I think I'm hitting the ball first (not ground). Does that mean my swing is too steep, like too much like an iron?
