Legendary music producer Quincy Jones (who has worked with people like Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson) has said of Jacob Collier: "I have never in my life seen a talent like this."
If you want to find out more about him, the BBC not too long ago did a documentary on Jacob and his music career so far called "In The Room Where It Happens". You should be able to find it on RUclips. Definitely worth checking out. Jacob is an absolute genius! (And that's the opinion of musicians from all over the world.)

I was addicted to your channel when you discovered Steely Dan. Time for a JAcob Deep dive young man. He has 6 Grammys and is the world's greatest musician. not kidding. You'll see. His new album comes out next week. We Jacob fans think it will win album of the year grammy.

You'll want to go a lot deeper into musical genius Jacob Collier beyond his early amazing covers into his original music with his band and orchestras and both audience and professional choirs. People often cite his a capella Moon River which won one of his 6 Grammys but there are so many others like Hajanga, Wellll, Don't You Know (with Snarky Puppy), Hideaway, Witness Me, Time Alone, Lua, etc.
He informally teaches music theory and plays about 20 instruments aside from the precise and wide vocal range. Yes, that's Quincy and also Take 6, a legendary gospel vocal group.

It was like watching Ann and Nancy achieve the level of Jimmy, Robert, John and Bonzo. Gods

What you saw in Roberts eyes was more sadness, that his best mate Bonzo wasn’t there….and what a waste his death was. And also being very nostalgic for that time, back when he was still an idealistic young man and had all the hopes for a better world. He’s a sad, old hippie, as are many of us. I’m not speculating here. Robert has discussed what he was thinking and feeling during this performance in a couple of interviews I’ve watched. The older man looking back at what they were, and what this song meant to him…and what rebels they were. And thinking, “how in hell did I get HERE”. With all the hoopla and ceremony and formality. Very pensive, is Robert.

When I was in my late teens, on New Year's Eve, we would go see Heart because they would end the year in their home city, Seattle. It was so fun. You guys should listen to the "Dog and Butterfly" album by Heart. The whole album is amazing. My favorites from this album are "Cook with Fire" and "Mistral Wind". Other songs that are my favorites are "Love Alive" and "Sing Child". They have about 200 others that are must hear soon. Put these on your short list. You'll be glad you did.❤😊

Beth Hart has got it all. No one performs on stage like this woman & her voice is like no others. Ann, Nancy, Jason & all the
others absolutely killed it but since their performance was a tribute and not a cover, Beth & Joe's cover of Etta's song may be my favorite cover of all times. There's also CCR's cover of Heard it through the grapevine & Disturbed's Sound of Silence that are fkn amazing as well❤

And for Beth Heart.. She is the only one who comes kind of close to Tina Turner with her version of „Nutbush City Limit“, same concert with Joe Bonamassa in Amsterdam. You will love it and dance in your chair. 🖖🏽🍀

I think what was in Robert Plant's mind when he looked wistful was how much he missed John Bonham, with whom he was always very close. Seeing Jason on stage playing that song (which Robert never really liked that much) must have hit him hard in the feels.

They had asked Jason to attend with them to represent his dad. Of course, he couldn't, obviously. He simply told them, "sorry I've got a gig". Imagine their surprise when the lights came up and Jason was behind the drums.
He's also wearing a bowler hat, a trademark of his dad. The chorus is also wearing them at the end in tribute.

You've started out with the apex of JC's complexity, and there's plenty more earlier stuff - not necessarily _simple_ - which might be more assimilable. The upright bass player + the 5 other main backing vocalists are the supremely talented Take 6. One thing to take on board is the underlying percussion - which is there underneath most of the track, seen near the beginning - is that his bongos/congos etc are playing wild tuplets, quintuplets, septuplets. He's not just a harmonic genius, but rhythmic too. I swear that, like Mozart, Jacob was sent to us.

Heart has always done amazing covers of Led Zeppelin early on in their carrer.."The Battle Of Evermore","Kashmir", "Rock and Roll"among others..There is a very early version posted on RUclips of them doing a cover of "Rock and Roll" about 1976 or 77 which was posted by the Fisher Brothers who were both part of Heart in the 70's..The song starts a couple minutes in as a fan rushes the stage st Ann and it takes a couple minutes to settle things..But it is a great version sung by a young Ann Wilson..I haven't seen anybody on RUclips react to that early version that Heart did..

I don't imagine Page plays it note for note when he plays it. IIRC, Heart were 'endorsed' by Page to play Led Zep covers in the 70s, he felt they were so good. So I don't imagine Page is judging on nit-picking details.
