I just bought the g19 gen 5 mos fs i like it nice looking weapon.have not put a sight on yet but have the option,definitely going to all steel sights maybe ameriglo havent decided yet,have a 43 and just wanted more mag capacity ,this will do and will last a lifetime,good enough for the fbi and special forces ,good enough for me..... great video thanks
The quarter inch longer recoil spring is in reference to the G17M/17Gen5 because they went to the smaller G19/G26 pattern lugs on the barrel. The 19's did not change. The 17,22,31,34,35 always had bigger barrel lugs. They probably changed so they can use the same barrels in the 17's and 47's seens how the G47 is basically a 19L slide.

All the fresh production G19 gen 5 guns ive seen still have that cutout. Just ordered the FS model last week to get around that. Hate that cutout personally and am curious why the specified no Trijicon sights?
Well i am actually wrong about that, guess i read too many articles because they actually suppose to be Trijicon or like Trijicon sights. FBI requirement reads "The sights delivered on the pistols shall be Trijicon7, Bright and Tough NightTM Sights, or similar."
The early gen 5 models all had the magazine cut out but no cut out was on the mos version the later non mos version were with no cut out consumer dissatisfaction likely
My 19M has MADE IN USA on the frame, with a stamp marking just ahead of the takedown lever on the right side. It does have MADE IN AUSTRIA on the slide. Mixing leftover parts, I guess.
Nice! My friend is a agent. He has that same gun I shot it last week. Except his has a longer beavertail. I could not tell if it was made that way or if it was the changeable grip. Other than the extended slide lock, what are the other differences between a standard G17 and G19, vs. the G17M and G19M? I own several Glocks ranging from Gens 3-5. All of mine were bought brand new and are all mainly blue label Glocks with either factory night sights or Ameriglo night sights from the factory. The extended slide lock is the only thing that I see that is different.

The 47 is a modified 19 with a 17 slide.
Glock discontinued the cut out and put front slide serrations standard on all of the new Glock 19’s the designation is G19 Gen 5 FS .

He probably had the back strap on it. Took me a long time to find a G19 with curved serrations, 40 cal was hot at the time and most are the G23.

The M stands for Modified. It was the precursor to the Gen 5.
