I love the way you sum up the episodes of boys planet and I also love your opinions about the show I think your pov is very accurate! But I'm actually very worried about Kuanjui, almost nobody talks about him and I honestly think it's a waste of talent Chen Kuanjui not making top9 at least once, because he got my attention since episode 1 got released and I really don't know if at this rate he getting into the final lineup is a possible thing. Also considering the poor amount of screentime he had and plus his fanbase is not as big as Ricky's or Wang Zihao's fanbases,,, but still I really want more people getting to recognize his talent because he deserves so much more✨ hope he can make it at least till the final episode!!!

There was no wrong side on the say my name team. Matthew had his right to want the part that had already been decided for him, Hanbin was worried about the team as a whole because they (hanbin and jiwoong) realized later that the swapped positions matched better. Hanbin even pointed out that it was his mistake as the leader of not having said this before so they could test the parts to see who suited it better. I'm sure that if it wasn't for jiwoong's initiative, hanbin would have left it as it was just so as not to upset matthew.
EDIT: And it's obvious that matthew asked if it was a prank (about changing his part) because the en garde trainees also pranked Gunwook (where he lost the killing part to Seunghwan)
EDIT 2: And I also think it was a justifiable reaction because matthew never (in any mission) managed to do the part he wanted most (in KTL he gave his part to someone else and in love killa he also gave the killing part to jiwoong, even though he really wanted it, bc it's in English). So when they took out the part he wanted most in say my name after - they'd already decided it was his - he broke down.

If they had expressed doubt about him being sub vocal 1 BEFORE they had to decide who was leaving, Matthew may have chosen to leave so he could have a better part in a different group, so I don't blame him for being ticked.
i agree everyone could have handled it better. matthew was clearly straining with the vocals and the other teammates shouldve communicated honestly/early abt switching parts. matthew couldve accepted the change professionally, it wasnt fair for him to assume they were sabotaging or ditching him. sub vocal 2 wouldnt make him a passerby just bc of a few less seconds of screentime.

Haruto is THE main event, so glad he's finally getting the recognition he absolutely deserves
My heart goes out to Woongki. He added his own choreo when no one in the team did, he sang the entire chorus when no one else wanted to sing the second part, he lead the whole team despite the language barrier, and he gave us iconic moments in the show. YET he is still underappreciated by the audience, star creators, staff, producers, judges and HIS OWN TEAM.
Hardly anyone is voting for Woongki at the moment and his current rank is one of the lowest, please consider voting for Woongki. He is an icon and a legend; and moreover, I wish that people would see him for his outstanding talents and abilities too, and not only his personality.
Please also take a look at the SuperCharger dance practice. He showed us in TO1 that he can do multiple concepts, but the performance in SuperCharger showed Boys Planet viewers that he can be more than just cute. His duality was insane there ! I was a bit worried about him doing a rap at first, but he really ate it up. And that second pre-chorus was pretty amazing with the tone of voice that he used.
I think a lot of viewers always had a soft spot for his personality, but he is not only an iconic and likeable personality, he proved in this performance that he is really well-rounded. I am so proud of him for always finding new ways to grow, and improve and also for finding ways to show new sides of himself to through each performance. He has not played a single performance safe, he has taken multiple risks that have worked out in his favour.
His rank is currently sitting at 26th (out of 28 trainees)
You spoke my heart. thank you. and kpop groups need a person like them in the Group. what are they gonna do with all the introverts on reality shows or their own episodes.
I'm still voting for him like i rlly want him to debut, he has shown what he's capable of doing different concepts, he has charisma on stage and his personality really stands out, that's why he's one of my picks and i really want him in the final lineup, let's hope he can debut, he really deserves it.
Let me add one more thing he performed one of the most hardest kpop songs ever to perform called 'rising sun' by tvxq and he did that effortlessly with charisma and stage presence. Reminder they were still one month fresh rookies back then. He's an all rounder as well. He's good at entertaining. Vote for woongki boi

a prediction i have about the rankings they gave us:
1) hui either stayed around 10-14 place or dropped a TON down to the 20s
2)either matthew or jiwoong’s rank dropped to 8-9 and taerae got 4th place
3) seowon dropped to the 20s:(((
4) haruto rised into the 10-14

I think that part of the reason En Garde team was reprimanded so heavily was that they had the song for 2 weeks and just sat on it once they got the choreography down. Meanwhile the Supercharger team only had 3 days and the Masters knew that. If I was an instructor I would expect more from the team who had time, although I did feel bad for them but it needs to be said. Now is the En Garde team the only one in this position, idk we'll see next ep.
This is just my opinion because when I was in art school I'm always pressed for time.
Edit: can I also defend Lip J? I think it's a cultural difference, I'm asian and all the aunties react that way towards my younger cousin.

Honestly it's a crime that Seunghwan is so underrated, like I can't believe he will probably won't even arrive at the finals as he has it all: he can rap, he can sing, he can dance, he has already experience, he has great stage presence and the man looks stunning even with a trash bag on, and y'all are sleeping on him, COME ON! I'm sorry still can't see the Gyuvin hype, never saw it and i'll probably never will and honestly same for Yujin (he is a good dancer but not the main dancer that they want us to believe, and if we remove the dance we have barely heard him sing 2 lines, so I don't know how they expect me to believe he should take a spot in the final line up).

Feel like the en garde team "drama" was forced to give them a drama since the team got along well and even when it was time to choose who to kick out, Park hanbin left on his own so again no drama...
So they did the "you are late" thing and the master randomly Going "You all suck"
Them being late was the fakest to me becuase :
-they all live in the BP dorm so it's not like they were outside doing the grocery that they didint notice the "time" also some of them look like they just got out of bed
-you have 2 people from already debuted group that know that you need to be on time NO WAY they would come late knowing they need to be there at acertain hour (and idol know how the pd start cursing if you are late).
-no one of them want to be seen as slacking off so I doubt they would be so chill about coming late
-in the past pd season there were often storyline with certain trainee being in the practice room the earliest to practice and we never seen the staff getting angry toward other trainee for coming late 🤷🏽♀️
Also hui going "it's not the time to cheer up I MADE A PROMISE TO THE ELIMINATED TRAINEE THAT WE WOULD GET 1ST.PLACE FOR THEM" like let's cut the bull.... Yall are there for yourself to debut not to AVENGE the trainee who didn't make it... Im sorry, but that part to me screamed "aaa aaaa I'm acting"

Well a do have something to say about Matthew's situation.
First of all let's not forget that the entire clown planet is an individual competition. I get that his members wanted the best for their team but it's literally dumb to assume that he has to agree with every of his team's desicions with zero objection and full enthusiasm because "team is more important". People are fighting for they career on this show
Second thing - he had no choice. Everything was decided without him and everything he had to say about not changing parts was met with rejection
Third thing - he couldn't get the part he wanted for two missions in a row and considering that his rank dropped (not much, but still) it's really likely that he wanted to redeem himself by getting a part that could help him stand out more
Lastly - idk maybe the translation was partially incorrect but the way the decision about switching parts was put into words was probably not the best. It's like they could've said something along the lines with "oh guys see we already practiced for a bit and it seems like for your vocal range the other part would fit better. So if you okay with it we can try it and see if it would be easier for the both of you" but the actual thing sounded like "bro you're not good enough and you gotta agree"
Before you say something about Matthew's unprofessionalism compared to gunwook let me say
Gunwook actually agreed on seunghwan trying for the killing part one more time. And the members asked him beforehand is he was okay with it
And before you say something about double standards
I never blamed Krystian. I dance for as long as I can remember myself and I can tell that EVERYONE who was confident enough wanted to be in the first row/in the middle/have some solo parts etc
Teamwork is not always unicorns and flowers (in fact in never is🤡) so to expect someone to behave a certain way especially in a situation THAT stressful... Ridiculous...
And I don't think someone is right or wrong here. It's just a really unfortunate situation
I wish you could write this under the video that on mnet (that shows the conflict). Every one under the comment section is praising Jiwong for the professionalism and asking not to hate both Hanbin and Jiwong. While on the other side they are calling Mathew fake and liar.

i don't know but I think lipj situation is difference in culture, like in asian countries, we never think that is weird, we consider it as a joke, we see yujin as cutie. it's the obsession with young idols in general what is wrong, the clearest example is NEWJEANS, they became the hottest girl group just after debuting with all members being teenagers and people already calling them 'hot', 'visuals', 'it-girls', when they are underage. Most people will probably drop them in their 20s (WHICH IS STILL VERY YOUNG AND AN APPROPIATE AGE TO BE AN IDOL) and they will start stanning more 15 year olds... it's so weird to me

More than anything, I’m really excited to see Over Me because I have a feeling that team won the Artist Battle; even from the revealed rankings, we see Ricky has climbed 7 ranks and Jeong Hyeon climbed 9. Makes me really hopeful for Jay! Also best believe I’ll be streaming the Artist battle songs when the studio versions are released (I even wrote English lyrics for Over Me based on a lyric video someone did LMAO)

Shanbin got main vocal because main vocal actually leads the dance in quite a few places so seungeon suggested shanbin to do main vocal since he's better at dance.
The whole say my name thing reminds me of I am in pd48, the member that contributed a lot kicked out, the popular and in the top trainees there,… like, I know it’s a competition but seeing how basically the top 9 stayed made me a little sad. (Also, like you said, Lip J 💀 girl, do better).
Jay is the main vocal for over me so really excited for his screentime next week, my 1st pick needs more moments.
Haruto earned that 1st place, this was really his stage. At the beginning I was really scared about supercharger but iconic, loving the new side of Seowon and Woongi.
As for the ranking, I could see the k vote push thing being the reason, kind of like the week of the finale in gp999 with the intern checks, anyways, we can start to see the 1 pick power.

The Say My Name team clearly didn’t vote to keep who suited the song best. It was the very first thing I noticed.
They wanted all the strong, high ranked players on their team. Did annoyed me since they kicked out all the members suited for the song.
In the end I thought it was fine since it’s nice to see the current Say My Name members do a cute concept for once.

@@quynhnguyen5579 it was not the same situation as gunwook. Since the decision was already made they asked gunwook if he would be okay with it since it's his part. The change was forced upon Matthew. They decided it needed changing after they made the final decision and they didn't consider Matthew's feelings. Yes it was for the good of the team but Matthew is a part of that team and they should've had seungeon try for it while they were discussing the parts, sungbin also mentioned that it was his mistake for not doing it that way. It's definitely not the same situation as gunwook so you can't compare it to that and call him unprofessional. If you want to call him unprofessional then you should call sungbin an unprofessional leader too.

i'd love to say the teams are balanced for this mission but once the voting out of members started to compensate for switch and supercharger, it became more visible how ranks play a big part. park hanbin felt inferior to others as he's rank22 and left his team to join switch, woongki & seowon got voted out as well, and somehow 4/5 members of say my name are top9 members. well there's still hope for matthew if he does well then he can still stay in top9 otherwise im scared he could be pushed down more. hoping jay joins top9 again thru his over me perf. ricky can be a dark horse for top9 too!
also i think the en garde being late to practice part looked pretty fake (well we got a few experienced survival shows contestant and debuted idols...seunghwan was described as the boring one who was always practising in 1the9 lol (and the overly polite kid who is always kamsahamnida-ing) i do not believe mnet
anddd seunghwan has such a great personality, even in the under nineteen show(yes im obsessed with seunghwan) he has always been the considerate and nice leader (i mean every team he was in had such a great atmosphere) he was still 17 at that time, and after all these years i feel like he probably lost some confidence at the beginning of boys planet (imagine staying in a few companies but still not having the opportunity to debut again and nearly all your ex teammates have debuted(tbh not that his ex teammates were having a great career:/), he probably experienced things that are unimaginable to us) i am so glad that he shines again with his vocals (i know he is not the best vocalist out here but is quite nice considering him being such an all rounder) and i like his rap in gang as well! his dancing is soooo goood (check out his ig!! i really like his rush hour cover)
i really appreciated him saying that he is an infp while an estj at work, as an infp, i really understand that the 'ideal' personality at work is estj so im so impressed to see him having this practice to make himself as a better/more approachable person to work with (can definitely see his infp traits when his 1the9 teammates said that seunghwan had a lot of alone time after forming 1the9 which surprised him as he kind of has a bubbly character during the survival show (i can definitely see that the bubbly him is part of him as well, its just that introverts still need some me time haha)
he is now an independent trainee and he works part-time to support his living. his brother(who is so supportive!!) says that seunghwan called him saying that gang is the best performance he had and engarde after the engarde performance. seunghwan is really a performer who loves the stage so much. i can definitely feel his passion through his performances~
this is really his last opportunity and i feel like he probably already accepted the possibility that he will be leaving the industry. lets surprise him and at least help him get into the finals so he can enjoy the stage one more time.

Here’s the thing, they revealed both of them in the Top 9, while they also revealed the K Trainees being in lower ranks, especially Gyuvin, which means there’sa higher chance KNetz would not let G group trainees staying in the Top 9 and vote for the K group trainees more since they want an all Korean team or an almost all Korean team.

For the Matthew drama i honeslty get his point because changing part just like that when they could have done it before was shady also hanbin comment "we need to think for the team not solo" i was like daaaamn that's kinda a nice way to say he was thinking for himself (and I mean it's a competition so I honeslty wouldnt blame him for thinking for himself) also the other trainee being all "i sayd i didn't want the other part, but now I do" it was kinda meh to me.

I didn't watch the episode in full live because of technical difficulties in my place at the time lol. But I guess it was fine considering my two most awaited performances (SMN and OM) weren't even aired, like what? Mn3t typically shows all performances in the third round? Also going through some of bptwt is kinda draining lmao but I'm a sadist ig.
I found it odd that people were appalled at SMN team for kicking out certain members as if this isn't a competition. I understand where they're coming from, but, at the end of the day, the remaining members had fill a spot. My guesses were that the 10 members compared the positions of each member and chose who fit it best. Like SHanbin was the leader, Matthew and Seungeon probably had a better tone for their respective positions in the song at the time, Jiwoong was the main rapper (the only other one was probably Takuto considering Ollie was the other Killing Part), and Yujin as KP.
