Education in Finland is an education system with fully subsidised meals served to full-time students. The present education system in Finland consists of daycare programmes (for babies and toddlers) and a one-year "pre-school" (or kindergarten for six-year-olds); a nine-year compulsory basic comprehensive school (starting at age seven and ending at the age of sixteen); post-compulsory secondary general academic and vocational education; higher education (University and University of applied sciences); and adult (lifelong, continuing) education. The Finnish strategy for achieving equality and excellence in education has been based on constructing a publicly funded comprehensive school system with selecting, tracking, or streaming students during their common basic education.[3] Part of the strategy has been to spread the school network so that pupils have a school near their homes whenever possible or, if this is not feasible, e.g. in rural areas, to provide free transportation to more widely dispersed schools. Inclusive special education within the classroom and instructional efforts to minimize low achievement are also typical of Nordic educational systems

25 million children are out of school. Before trying Finland education system, we need free universal education. Regardless of the quality of education every child must be given opportunity to go to school, then start improving the system. We are certainly in a very bad shape not only in education but all aspects of our society. Lots of work is needed to revamp our whole society. Thank you for the inspiring video.

I am a primary teacher I have broke the rule of Govt: I made my own rules I teaches student on finland's like rules I have no class room but sitting arrangement is different for every child I teaches with the same principle weak and clever students together , I giving them break two times , Now I will start the phenomenon based learning and give them small projects as well.

Not a single school in Pakistan has adopted this system yet. It's really an amazing system. Basically, it would be called the "Entrepreneurship" system which is the best system and need of the current era and future.

Each child has their own nature for learning from others.It is fact that they learn much when they are happy.Most of children learn well while playing game. The same teacher really can get their weak points in each subject.In my opinion,Teacher must be polite to student and He/she can teach them by playing with them.Only class teaching method could not be sufficient for each student to learn from them much...Providing education is like a tree which needs watering... Ruminating ideas!

I live in Finland and my kids go to Finnish school. I by myself has done PhD from Finnish university. What you are saying is true but only for lower classes in Finland. Higher classes follow a more traditional approach of education as it is all across the world.

Truly speaking .first time education according to nature. Great. We should adopt main qualities of this system.
In Pakistan the education institutions are imposing military discipline on student. The syllabus is out dated and most of the teachers in Government schools are narrow minded themselves so they restrict their student to think out of the box. So in my opinion it would be quite difficult to adopt Finland education model in coming 20 to 30 years unless sincere leaders are in Power.
