    This lesson is so good. Textbooks have this grammar, but I really find those not deep enough. And this grammar is so important when we want to talk to friends. Thank you so much Miku Sensei! Can I like this video 10 times?

      Yeah, I've seen this in text books as one page pieces spread over three different chapters... Of course none of it is even remotely explained as clearly as in this video.

    Thank you for this video. I have been studying Japanese for awhile now and I never noticed this use of the て form before. It was definitely eye opening for me. I will watch it several more times until it sinks in fully.  いつも教えてくれて ありがとう!

    I teach English. Small point to help you. Say the 't' and 'd' at the end of words a little stronger. Your 'felt' should be very different from 'feel' for eg. Okibari yasu! You are doing great!!!!!

    Thank you for the easy to understand video ^^.
    Here's just a small comment I'd like to make. In this context, we never really tell someone "I'm happy to see you" BEFORE meeting up with them. That just sounds very strange because you cannot SEE them just yet. But you could say "I'll be happy to see you"/" I can't wait to see you".

    Sometimes instead of saying 「雨が降ってる」 I know we can also say just 「雨です」 or in the casual way 「雨だ」、my question is if we could say 「雨でよかった」 or negative 「雨じゃなくてよかった」?

    8:18 から vs て IMPORTANT!!!
    10:46 use only から {casually ので} (will…, because…)
    ~て is used when expressed your feeling
    12:38 both are allowed to use

      Actually, it would be I am so happy I could see you today or I am happy to see you. You have to remember there aren’t always exact sentences in japanese to express English subtleties. It’s the same sentence for japanese.
      Don’t over think it.

    Hello sensei , thank you for all the great lessons. I do have a question. Why for the verb goukaku instead of using particle wo or ga , the particle used is ni. Exalple given : テストに 合格して 嬉しい . Testoni goukakushite ureshii.

    Can「て」have the same fonction of 「こと」 or 「の」?

    Miku sensei, what is the different about "yokatta (良い in past form)" between "yokatta that means glad"?

      よかった means "that was good" which is why it could be interpreted as "glad" in an english translation, there's not really a difference in the actual japanese

    your English is incredible but just a small tip when saying a sentence such as ‘ I’m glad I noticed it before I go on a date’ it would sound more natural and like a native speaker to say something like ‘I’m so glad i noticed it before I went on my date ‘ or ‘I’m so glad I noticed it before my date’ just trying to help ya out a little

    Another great tutorial, Miku. Watch out for that common English pronunciation mistake that Japanese speakers often make because they learned the pronunciation with katakana. Dont say "shit-uation" but "sit"uation.

    みく先生, how would you say these two different sentences:
    "I'm glad it didn't rain here." 雨が降らなくてよかった。
    "I'm glad it doesn't rain here." ???
    One is past tense, one is present tense (like, "it doesn't rain here in general").

      They have different subtleties. Shiken is for Exams vs a test
