- The Athletics will make Sutter Health Park their temporary home for a few years before moving to Las Vegas. Representatives with the A's announced Thursday the team will be playing in West Sacramento for the next three MLB seasons starting in 2025 as the lease at the Oakland Coliseum expires after the 2024 season. There's also an option for a fourth season.

Exactly. They aren't even going to be called the Sacramento A's, just the A's. So technically Sacramento can't even really claim that the A's are their team during the 3 year time period
It’s not that we’re excited because we think they’re staying here. We’re excited because this will give us the best opportunity to get a expansion team or if Vegas falls apart maybe keep the A’s

I see the Athletics future as a brand to represent all of Northern California. They even have green color in logo !!! A Vegas move would be a disaster plain and simple. There is much more money and way more baseball fans in Northern California 👈

The A' s would rather play in a minor league small ballpark over staying another minutes in that dump known as Oakland Ca.
Fisher never negotiated in good faith. Oakland could have given him everything he asked for and he would have found a reason to say no. It's time to pull the antitrust exemption, and Oakland should sue MLB. It worked for Kansas City, Seattle, Tampa Bay and Toronto.
I hope none of the necessary improvements gets made and I hope the Las Vegas deal collapses.
That's not exciting! Because I used to go see the A's at the Oakland Coliseum and I had some great memories there and now it's not going to be the same without them and now they just took away the only thing that was good in Oakland and they just made it worse for Oakland. They took away the Raiders football team and now the A's, I just feel like they took the last one good thing that I had worth going back to and now they are not there anymore and that sucks big time! At least I have some memories of going to see them play, but now I'm not going to even bother to go see them again.
I’d hate for you to lose your team as we almost lost the Kings in the early 2010s. But if anything, if they decide to move, between Sac and Las Vegas, least you could still catch As games in Sac, only a 1.5 hr drive

the Bay Area fans are terrible and Sacramento fans are not much better. It is not that long of a drive from Carmichael to Oakland if you are a real fan of baseball...face it, the two cities are officially minor league...
