Shaped by its location on the Las Vegas Strip, the 33,000-person capacity ballpark provides an outdoor feel with views of the city’s skyline. The tiered design will split upper and lower seating bowls to bring fans closer to the action than traditional ballparks and provide clear sight lines from every seat. The roof's five overlapping layers, whose design is inspired by traditional baseball pennants, open to the north to allow for natural light and views up the Strip, while also limiting direct sunlight and heat from the south. The outfield features the world’s largest cable-net glass window, facing the corner of Tropicana and Las Vegas Boulevards. The ballpark is currently designed to include an 18,000-square-foot jumbotron, which would make it the largest screen in MLB.

not help me just now hate to bother you stop talking about it.
Brodie has me addicted to this fiasco
Same. A year ago i had no dog in this fight at all. Now i watch it like a Netflix serial killer show.
Right with you lol (especially since I am from Salt Lake).
Right? Renderings come out and first thought is....what is Brodie going to say about this. #ISTHAT9ACRES@@tomandrews2887
Me too
Right?!
Already have Statue of Liberty and Eiffel Tower on the Strip. So, why not add Sydney Opera House.
Next Great Wall
This looks like something you'd see at an Australian Rugby match, NOT an MLB game.
@@joeschmoe8504 And after that Trump's border wall
@@DLO0622😂 I’m not even political, but lol’d at this.
I could just see a random wall with that Trump logo stamped right into it.
The Sydney Opera House is the first thing I thought of also…
Baseball season is almost upon us, the boys of summer back out to entertain us with hits, thrills and spills.
Theres excitement in the air.
Then I remember---John Fisher owns the team ive loved for decades.
How long until these renderings are thrown away?
I hate to admit this but i think this design is pretty dope.
With that said, the final park wont look like this. These are just the first "perfect world" renderings. We all know that Fishers world is FAR FROM perfect.
I'm loving the big foul ground area.
That green light above would make me feel
Queezy for 3 hours
The color cast on the field is going to be something else.
It'll have the effect of how marlins park began with their neon walls.
I’d like to see a view from above showing how it fits on their 9 acre site.
That big glass window will be able to show all the empty seats while the team loses another 90 plus games a season
Since these renderings came out, I have been waiting to hear Brodie’s take.
Up here in Edmonton, we've been hurting since we lost our AAA team. Once an an associate to the A's. We have 2 great summer league college teams now, but it's been hurting since AAA. I hope Oakland can keen the A's. And I hope Las Vegas gets their own team
Sorry to hear that brother. Thank you for your support. I’ve lived in Oakland and supported this team all of my life. It’s a special culture. It’s truly hurts the way things are playing out
You're hurting for a good team--PERIOD
What BEAUTIFUL stadium!!!
The Las Vegas A’s!!!
Soooo EXCITING!!!
I wonder if the legislature could back out of the deal because it doesn’t have a retractable roof. Fisher is already under delivering on his side of the deal. Plus he lied about waiting to release the renderings because he was waiting on Baileys.
The Vegas Floperahouse
🤣
Eating your heart out Oakland
@Brodiebrazil "For the record Jeremy Aguero" said the billion dollar cost of the project was because it's a retractable roof. And the public funding was based on that projected price tag. Like a bait and switch. I hope the public funding dollars get adjusted or removed as the price tag of the stadium should be a lot cheaper
Price, now without the retractable roof, is $1.5B. Interesting budget creep already in progress
The seating capacity has gone up from 30,000 to 33,000. Wonder where all these extra seats are going to be going along with the fixed roof and the artificial turf. Going to smell like balls during the summer. Spherical Armadillo indeed.
That's why they added all of the standing room only tickets
Let’s go Sydney A’s
I don't want the A's to move and i am a Mariners fan
Ok....well we all don't want things to happen but they do...accept it and move on.
I don’t want the A’s to move and I live in Vegas.
I'm a Dodgers fan, and I don't want the A's to move.
@@moonytheloony6516 Internet douchebaggery at its best.
From the renderings, it looks like it is now on the North East corner. I think Ballys is still going to get the strip frontage.
These renderings make it look like to me that the stadium is being depicted on the strip side of the Tropicana site aka the wrong side. And I think someone at the A's is still claiming that people in the stadium will have "views of the strip".
Maybe its just me but it seems strange that they didnt include a rendering that showed the full Tropicana site even if there was no resort on the rest of the land.
Also these renderings where delayed so the resort could be included so I wonder if they released without the resort because Bally still doesnt have the money and isnt ready but the A's need to release new renderings to get investors.
It really makes me wonder if this really is a 33k seat stadium that can be built on 9 acres.
Playing devils advocate, as an Oakland fan. I think from the renderings the view is possible. The strip is to the north. The A’s land is southeast corner. In these renderings, you get only the view of the north, so the street to the east, and the new Tropicana buildings to the west are out of view.
That said, this would require Tropicana to not build and monetize a large majority of the northern end of their property. I don’t see Bally’s agreeing to that…..should be interesting
Oakland fans...lets boycott the A's and everything Fisher owns this year, including the San Jose Quakes and Gap stores (Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Athleta. Fisher needs the cash flow for this $1.5 Billion investment. Interest rates are currently at a high level. Cost of capital (cost of ownership) is also high, meaning Fisher would get less returns selling off parts of ownership than during normal times. Keep on the financial pressure. If he's taking our team, we will sink him financially as well.
Let's do it!
I’m already in; stopped shopping at Banana Republic where I spent considerable sums for several years….no more forever
Bay Area population is 7.8 million/USA population 331 million. You ain’t hurting Fisher’s bottom line.
@@Dept246first of all, yes the A’s and quakes are located in the bay. Can make those truly a money pit for the next few years. Gap stock, on the other hand, you’re right. But it’s Stock price is still down over 40% since it’s peak in 2021. Any dollar still goes to the bottom line, and the bay is still a large market. This is all Fisher has, his hand me downs from his parents, and to be honest it’s brand’s quality appears to not be what it used to be. I used to shop at BR a lot, but it’s merchandise was awful the last time I checked.
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Man I just like watching all your videos of this whole situation! Lot of very good insight knowledge plus your own perspective of things
2,500 parking spots. At least 3 acres. Plus 2 to 3 acre plaza. That's about 6 acres so far. So 3 acres left? Yeah it maths out. 9 acres = what ever amount you need?
I PERSONALLY think that vegas and the tropicana is making a mistake by not doing something similar to the blue jays and the hotel rooms facing the field. IF they were really confident with this project, they could treat the rooms facing the field like a little vip suite.
So basically one big huge amphitheater
I love it. Looks badass and unique. I love the fact you can see the strip through the big window. I actually want to see an A’s game when it’s done.
The view from inside the stadium as depicted here is completely deceptive. Where are the new buildings Bally’s will be building?? This is not a trivial point.
I heard something like MGM Grand will be bought out and renamed Bally's but when the new Trop is made it will be named Tropicana but rebadged Bally's and the old Ballys will be renamed horseshoe but half of it will be partitioned off and be connected to Paris
Hi, I’m Jeff. I’m addicted to stadium renderings.
Looks like the Sydney Opera House needs Ozempic.
No way that fits on 9 acres
And no way that $1.5B would be enough to pay for that.
@@sweepingdenverNo way to know this.
I will be seeing a baseball game in Las Vegas 2028 season
@@someferarriguy7910Sure there is. There is no way that design would cost less than the Sphere. It is far more complex and significantly bigger. The Sphere was budgeted at $1.3B and came in at $2.3B. BTW Fischer can barely afford overages of tens of millions let alone many hundreds of millions if not billions.
@@Dept246lol. That’s it? One game when it opens
I think it's a pretty cool design. Unique for LV which is kind of needed over there, so it hits the mark for that. Yes, it kind of looks like the amphitheater in Aussie, but when you look at both, they really aren't as similar. If anything, it's an improvement of that being more cohesive. Inside looks pretty good too, really dig the big cable net window.
I eagerly check your channel for the latest A’s updates. I’m glad I came across your channel and subscribed!
Looking like the Sydney Opera House finally coming to the Strip!
It’s more polished AI renderings of “make me a Sydney Opera House except put it in Vegas”
A retractable roof in this climate is just a huge waste of cash. Four months of the season are just miserable hot day and night. Certainly wouldn't say I'm a fan of the aesthetic, but can't wait to see the Cub's or Sox come to town.
Something tells Me that Ballys and The A’s are going to screw this up. I see this turning into a court battle. I want John Fisher to fail
The biggest issue I have with this design are two things:
1. There is absolutely no seats in left field. It’s all standing room.
2. Something bothers me about that videoboard in right field. I don’t know why they didn’t just put two videoboards in the corners.
Brodie, one observation i noticed.. where are the bullpens?
I'm only 5 minutes through the video, but something about this screams "MLB version of the Coyotes Tempe fiasco". The second and third render images look like they were AI-generated then edited by people. 33,000 capacity is tiny if you ask me. The first image's scoreboard is not very readable because of the awkward tilted angle. They clearly do not have much hope with ticket sales given it's *ONLY* 33K. Most modern parks are at least in the high 30s if not 40,000+. The design is intricate, and there was a "delay", but this still feels rushed.
"If they build it, they won't come."
Ya just like they didn't come for the Knights... oh wait. Haters gonna hate.
@@jc2604 - They will sit at/near bottom in attendance like the Raiders. Even the stuck up Vegas residents tell us they don't want the A's, they're too good for hand me down franchises. That small market should instead be grateful everyone worships them and wants them to be even better and more successful than their own hometown. Been handed NFL and NHL recently and MFers still say they "deserve" everything else too
It will be over 2 billion i reckon and that has to be more than 9 acres surely.
That's why he's having trouble getting financing. Needs mommy's help and maybe some local investors.
@@oiler62Nah, he wants “local investors” so he can feel a part of the “Las Vegas Community” you remember right? 🤣 Fisher is a clown, I hope he fails on this project
I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who saw the similarity to the Sydney Opera House
History will refer it as the coolest thing to never happen.
This new park rendering looks really cool. But the Oakland waterfront rendering was gorgeous. Sad that the Oakland politicians delayed and delayed and thus lost their team. It's a tragedy. A heartbreaker .
Armadillos in Las Vegas really. Nice rendering and i think it should be more like 35,000 - 40,000 seats.
Brodie: I saw the renderings the 1st day they came out. The Red jerseys are because the game they have on the scoreboard is they are playing the L.A. Angels. If you look at the scoreboard to the left it's the Angels. You can actually see Mike Trout's name in the Lineup batting 3rd I think.
I'm in Vegas now staying at Tropicana. Talked to a few employees and they're not happy of losing their jobs to A's. One employee said a buyer is looking to purchase the Tropicana, meaning it's possible the resort might not close just yet. I'm
hoping
I am wondering if this fits in the 9 acres? Is this too tall to be next to the airport?
There's no way in hell this ballpark ever gets built.
Fisher, gonna rent out the stadium, when there is no baseball. Concerts and entertainment
The scoreboard is just no. You can't read it at all.
What a reach from Karen Brazil. BTW thats not the 3rd base coach thats the base runner on 3rd according to the scoreboard. She set is the west you are right and soon the sun will set on the Oakland A's baseball. Thank god.
Even if this gets built, it feels destined to fail. Only 33,000 seats in a fixed roof stadium on a small plot of land that doesn't have the room to expand later? In 15 years, they're going to be begging for a new building again.
I wonder if the green part of the roof will light up in different colors after home runs and wins.
I have questions about the roof materials and the references to translucency. From an aesthetic point of view these renderings may look pleasing from the outside. But practically can the game of baseball be played with what appears to be a light colored roof. And of course what about the background for hitters. Most indoor stadiums where baseball is played are rather ugly because playing indoors requires a dark ugly ceiling with lighting fixtures. As I remember the original Astrodome had a light ceiling. This passage is from the Smithsonian Magazine. The immense greenhouse ceiling was a marvel, like the great train sheds of Victorian Europe-but once the outfielders starting losing fly balls in the glare, the transparent ceiling was painted over.
LV Armadillo’s???
"here's our outlandish concept stadium, we estimate it will cost Nevada about 4 billion (don't expect us A's to pay for it), please build it for us"
I just cant stop laughing anytime someone says spherical armadillo. Thanks for making a video 😊
Is the green roof a copy of the sphere?
i like to think that this got super delayed with the implentation of AI being messy and scuffed instead of trying to pay a real artist to make things not look like garbage
Looks like the renderings has it on or in place of the Tropicana Hotel/Casino
This stadium will get in the way of the new Tropicana
Imagine if those pennant ceilings were made of the same stuff from the inside of the sphere? That allow them to use that as the lighting. Because when you’re inside the sphere, they can make you feel like you’re outside.
Lets go Brodie!!!
Is there anything in Vegas that isn’t a smaller version of the original?
The 2500 parking spaces will presumably be in parking structures for the Bally’s casino. I don’t know how many rooms they plan for that resort, but that doesn’t sound like that many. MGM Grand has 5400 spaces.
There’s a Giant parking lot right across the street, it’s the same lot used for allegiant stadium, and across the street from that there’s empty lots with Acres and acres so parking will not be an issue in anyway
After looking at the one interior image, where are the bullpens going to go? I’m not digging the screen either.
Hate the screen. Bettet not have vertigo🤮
I am still confused. The sun will set in the batter's eyes. Look at google map which shows shadows in the morning. Also questionable, there will be no strip view when the new casino is built. Maybe they casino will block the sun. ????
i knew Brodie was gonna find something bad to say lol... armadillo is a good one, the haters call Allegiant Stadium the roomba lol
The architect itself used the armadillo verbiage. Brodie keeps it professional, even as a homer.
@@P31B borderline... lol
@@jeffadventures1hey Jeff. Yea man we’re bitter. You’d be too if the team that became a big part of your childhood and remained part of your identity suddenly chose to leave you for good. Sucks. It is what it is. But Brodie still gives good insight, and is not against Vegas as a city. I think that speaks for most of us
@@P31B as someone who expected the renderings to be underwhelming, these renderings show me that the stadium will be spectacular. im now on board w As to Vegas, this stadium w that huge window is going to be jaw dropping
@@jeffadventures1happy for you man. Enjoy the armadillo 😂 teasing you. Hope the team brings you good memories like it did for us all these years
Las vegas hospice for shows and sports !
The Las Vegas Armadillos
Armadillos are for New Mexico and Arizona
I was also wondering, are they planning to use turf or grass and then if it’s real grass, how does that work into the 9 acres, With a movable field and the price point on that?
If you don't like watching the A's you'll enjoy La Traviata.
It looks cool but that's way more than 9 acres. Also, they could build all this crazy Martian-lookin shit, or just build an actual baseball stadium in Oakland
Gotta hand it to these Architects -- its def. different and "out of the box" in terms of design ...
Fake A.I. generated
I love the glass wall. I can't wait to be a season ticket holder.
Not a fan of this design Brodie! From the outside it looks great for an NBA or NHL arena, but the old school in me feels baseball stadiums should be reminiscent of the sport which celebrates the past. I would have liked to have seen something MUCH more traditional, but at least somethings happening in Vegas, hope it all works out for Nevada in the end. OR maybe the A's stay???
As far as any cost overruns, MLB will foot the bill. They can't let one of their fellow members of the Billioniare Boys Club fail.
Interesting looking stadium, but will Fisher pony up to help it get built? A's belong in Oakland
Dodger fans like to joke that the Padres play in “Dodger Stadium South” and the DBacks in “Dodger Stadium East” but this is going to be on a whole other level.
OK, I'm gonna be honest here: When I see these renderings for the A's new proposed ballpark in Vegas, the first thing that comes to my mind is NOT Sydney Opera House. It's just one word: Spaceship. 🚀
Interesting part is the statement said 33,000 person capacity, not 33,000 seats. So I imagine lots of standing room only sections. As renderings show in the outfield
It does look like they put the stadium in the center of the property! lol
“We’re waiting for Bally’s to give us their renderings so we can have an accurate representation for the public”
Also the A’s: here’s a new rendering that’s just as big as the last one we wadded up and still has no replacement hotel/resort!
Looks like the Sydney Opera House
EDIT
Commented b4 watching
Brodie, how many acres is the Oakland coliseum. .... Just the stadium.......need something to compare to 9 acres
Target Field home of the Twins is 8.5 acres.
With the arched roof, it would have been cool if there were roof seats looking down like a high rise crane operator. The outfield looks lacking especially in left field.
Looks amazing
Saludos
Great Fisher can rename the team as the Vegas Armadillo's
Retractable roof out of Fisher's budget, so we got this weird thing.
Area football would you get there?
My teacher used to say, meet you all in the green room !
Maybe I missed it. So, no retractable roof, right? Avg temps in Las Vegas for just June - August are 102 to 107. How's that gonna work?
Climate Control (A/C)
@@charlesjwin So, that part in the outfield is not open air? There's some sort of clear barrier?
It's completely enclosed
yes, glass-type windows, as also seen in mock-ups.@@joshbutcher6837
Looks awesome !!!
The only way I see this Sydney Opera House working is to add an Australian themed hotel next door with an outback steakhouse. 😂😂😂 Maybe a kangaroo exhibit as well.
Seems a bit grandiose to me. I believe it when I see it. And I don’t think any of us will see this on 9 acres situated along side a resort.
Is that natural grass?
Sydney called they said they want their opera house back
Las Vegas Armadillos?? Could they be hinting at the new ball club name?
So many questions:
How will people in the right field bleachers see MLB’s new largest scoreboard? Will they have to wrench their necks to check the batter’s stats, the pitch count, pitch velocity, R/H/E, who’s on deck. . .
What kind of grass or turf will they be playing on?
Where will the bullpens be?
Will the ceiling change colors when there’s a pop fly? So the fielders don’t lose the ball against the white ceiling?
And will players get bonuses or some sort of recognition for busting out panels of the glass in that humongous outfield window?
