I work as an energy auditor at a government agency here in Kentucky. Been here about 10 months and I'm pretty fluent with the dg700 and 1000s, pressure pans, duct leakage, etc. However I feel like I'm not reaching my personal monetary potential. It feels like I'm doing 3 different trades at the same time, but get paid 1/2 of what a licensed tradesman would. So here's my question: I came into this job with no trade experience, I'm partially interested I'm Hvac as a career if weatherization doesn't pan out. How much would my experience really help me in an hvac apprenticeship?
