I can't believe the amount of ignorance in these comments, and clearly all these "fans" have no clue about the history of Alice In Chains. Duvall's presence is in no way disrespectful to Layne, and people need to realize that the band had nothing but love and respect for Layne. Note that even when the band was inactive due to Layne's addiction, they never kicked him out, never replaced him, and never broke up. They always waited and hoped their brother would recover. It was until years after Layne's death that they decided to move on. That said, bands replace members all the time. This is far from uncommon. But for some reason the kids that grew up with bands from the '90s feel like they have some ownership over the musicians. It has to be the original way or no way at all. So here's a solution: keep listening to those recordings with Layne and ignore the AiC albums with Duvall. You can choose to live in the past if you want, but don't fault the band for wanting to continue creating and sharing their music.
Fuck Do I love William Duvall are therw songs that Layne could do better yeah and I bet William Duvall would admit that, are there Layne songs a William can do better yeah there are I've seen im concert they were fucking amazing and I'm so happy hes their lead singer.
I was just wondering this too, do some parts of Europe still think enough Americans think that’s cool? Even in 2010 this would have been major cringe. Sure William loved that.
Should've ended the band after Layne. Nothing against Duvall. Just out of respect for Layne. Another band name would've been a much better thing to do.
William Duvall is good. He is not Layne, but is good. Stop hating him, he have to fill the enormous shoes of Layne, and he is doing it well.
Great comment!!!! I've been saying that since 06.
stop hating on William be grateful that they're still performing their music
Absolutely.
man that bass is awesome..good job mike
These guys are number 1 period...
If he's good enough for Jerry, he's good enough for me. Keep rockin' guys - Big ❤️ from the UK
0:58 Jerry is such a badass
*"SONISPHERE, TWO THOUSAND AND-WOOOOW, THERE.."*
Feeling love for Sean on 🥁 here.. God they rule!! 🤘
I love that William is not trying to be Layne. There's some simmilarity in chours, but other than that, he's unique
DuWall is very good... he's a living proof of the fact that Lane can not be replaced by any creature of this world
Donatas Geras Who's lane?
he chose drugs..let it go
DuVall* Layne* Damn man.
Cannot be replaced...although the frontman of Chout is basically a dead ringer for Layne.
William nailed those vocals!
2:30 Robert Trujillo?
Rafael Marcos Anders Fridén in 1:46 and 2:30 in Trujillo, hahaha, will be? The part of Fridén is a joke, but it really seems to be the Trujillo.
+Rafael Marcos Likely cos they were opening for Metallica on tour and RT played Bass on one of Jerry Cantrell's last Solo albums.
@@soeffingwhat he used to tour in his solo band too, oddly enough I saw them open for Metallica. Good friends to have.
Good ole Sean, at 0:50 making an Airheads reference. He's always making silly movie references.
woah. William Duvall sounds amazing on this. Enough hating on him aright?
Layne and William are great Vocalists.
DIFFERENT STYLES, people tend to overlook that.
saw this aic version shortly after new singer joined.... he blew crowd away! great addition. Layne passed how he wanted to. RIP
The band really rocked that place.Dams got broken and dynamos came to play by hydel energy thus powering electric guitars of AIC band.
i like william's trousers (pants). awesome flares!
4:05 Fingerstyle FTW!
Hey Mike , Long time ,You'll Rock........
SONISPHERE 200-and WHOAH THERE hahahahaha
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I figured the guy forgot what year it was
haha, William looks like he just got off the Soul Train with those pants.
Jerry's guitar is a little rad. I know he's all about his old school guitars (and the new black "Alice" one), but the whiskey red one is killer.
Tht leather jacket!!!😱

Mike Inez 🇵🇭
It blows my mind that I can say that Mike Inez is my cousin 🇵🇭
@@makenzie4943 really?
Yeah, my great grand father is his uncle or something like that
Bro how can you type if your just a pair of legs
Like, do you use your toes?
sean kinney is funny as fuck!
Willy's cool!
1:46 It seems Anders Fridén (In Flames) adjusting the pedestal DuVall, haha
Jonathan Davis?
I would like to say a few words in my lenguage.
Mike y William son la verga, ¡sí, señor!
so fuckin good
one of the best 'really heavy metal' hard rock song in the 90's. duvall's got great hair. aic are definetely on the same level of metallica.
Even further bro
Robert Trujillo @ 2:30 btw hahaha
The bassist playing is Mike Inez. He's a bad mutha fucka!
Of course, and I'm talking about the guy next to the speaker cabs ;-)
2:32
He is fucking AMAZING.
3/4's cool and all but It can get so monotonous and dull. However this is probably one of my favourite Alice In Chain songs :P
1:11 IF ONLY THE BASS WAS LOUDER
Mike Inez is always loud! Just keep in mind youtube compresses the video and audio heavily, plus you lose a lot of low frequencies with mics
1:42 jonathan davis
William duvall is the shit!
It's slowed down...
dunno bout that, but duvalls alright
Fuck Do I love William Duvall are therw songs that Layne could do better yeah and I bet William Duvall would admit that, are there Layne songs a William can do better yeah there are I've seen im concert they were fucking amazing and I'm so happy hes their lead singer.
@hentajus Yup, it is sad that Staley had to end his career and then life the way he did. He was noted for wishing he had never started hard drugs.
@TheNineveh
Yeah. In my lifetime i've also heard one guy who's better. But sadly, he's dead :/
Good performance but it was a little slow
Yeah, they were kinda dragging at some points.
Think it's the drummer slowing the whole thing down. Ya can tell crowd's slightly confused when they drop the tempo.
Speed it up boys
William Is great and all but it's just not the same without layne you know.
There were some rebel flags flying...hell yes! Where is Sonisphere held?
Tempo goes up and down.
it's just weird
Why couldn't sing the word river correctly? That was annoying.
I thought I was the only one who hated that lol
they should have changed the name of the band when Layne died
1:39 Why are there confederate Flags??
I was just wondering this too, do some parts of Europe still think enough Americans think that’s cool? Even in 2010 this would have been major cringe. Sure William loved that.
This ain't bad I mean it's not as bad as John Mayer or Tre attempting to Garcia but I think like Garcia Layne was too talented and unique to replace.
Green Means. Agreed
What’s up with the Confederate flag? Especially since their singer is black ?
Duvall is ok but I've heard better.
Its not so much the singer is bad, the tempo is off, speed it up, and fucking crank it up and itll be ok
I'm sorry for the lead singer just falls short.
Scott weiland would have been a great replacement.
Corey Taylor would have been way better imo.
The band definitely needed another singer with drug problems and a short life expectancy. Agreed.
agree. it's damn near impossible to replace Layne. But he can't, so shouldn't.
Should've ended the band after Layne. Nothing against Duvall. Just out of respect for Layne. Another band name would've been a much better thing to do.
hes better singer than layne but Layne is layne
Never the same without Layne :(
Doesn’t sound right without Layne. Stop singing his songs please
Shut up
duvall sounds better than layne both were great but jerry is AIC
I am a big fan of AIC, but this is horrible.
