I guess this is a very common trope for every F1 RUclipsr playing Codemaster's games and the E-sports F1 comps, who come to this game: turn off traction control, or use the wrong settings. Then learn the hard way that traction control is needed for this generation of cars, and that a TC of 75% (setting 3) is needed in order to stop spinning out in most corners, whereas a TC of 25% (setting 1) should only be used during the parade lap 😅😅😅
Also, on this episode Matt discovers “Toyota-style glory runs in Q3”. That said, your comment at 10:10 is incorrect. In 2006 and 2007 you got an extra lap of fuel for every lap you did in Q3 (within a certain lap time) so basically you spent 15 minutes burning fuel and 5 minutes going for it. Quite *why* that lasted for two seasons, nobody knows.
Please, just please put the traction setting on 3, it will help you tremendously on this game.
Little tip for you, use 3 on the traction control settings during the race. These things had traction control, so use it!
I’ve made Q3. F12006 - how cute, now time for some EXTREME PAIN
Still waiting on that TC setting getting turned back to 3🙃🤣
Best career mode out there RN (this year still remains Tom97's mclaren rtg with all respect). Change my mind
The point in Q3 is to burn as much fuel as you can and set a lap at the end. Car is refueled afterwards
When you say jenson button was only British driver on grid in 06 poor David coulthard
scotland is british@subie2831
@subie2831the brits are people of the entire islands.
The English however are only ppl of England….
Small differences
@subie2831Scots are also british
Hey Matt! In this game oil is always on the racing line, so if you avoid the racing line while the oil flag is waving you should be allright!

Montoya won the British Grand Prix in 2005, not Raikkonen.
I just hope he will finish a race for a change because jesus xD
At least you finished the race. It will be points on the next one.
Ngl, if I were team manager of Midland, I’d have sacked you by now😂😂😂
4:11 umm you forgot coulthard
Scottish sadly
@@Matt212YTScotland is British.
What on earth are midland smoking I’d love to know hahaha
Is this series already over? It was entertaining, despite the difficulties
Love your content Matt but hard to watch you spin out 3 times every video / track limits penalties
F1 06 is totally brutal, hoping for more cleaner races in a better car!
@@Matt212YTturn on traction control, it was allowed back then.
2nd
You are utterly hopeless at this game 😂😂
