Fran Drescher leads SAG-AFTRA and despite being offered similar contracts to the WGA and DGA, it's not enough for our precious actors. It's not often that I feel sorry for an actor, but to have her lead the union which seems less interested in money and more interested in changing the entire industry. It's not someone who I would want to be in control of my ability to work. And given what we've seen of pressure campaigns from A list actors, it seems many of the actors are beginning to see things the same way. A few % here and there will never make up for the lost time and lost jobs during the strike in the first place. But what you do you think of SAG-AFTRA and Fran Drescher's tactics for the strike would you accept a 5% first year pay increase or push for more? Would you trust someone who is barely losing work during the strike? Let me know your thoughts down below and as always, thanks for watching :)
Lol yeah the same people already worth millions of dollars living hedonistic lives like no others. Then they have the balls to talk down to us peasants. These people literally sold their souls and think they are better than us for it These people already don't deserve what they make... and they want more... ungrateful morons Imagine getting paid based on your worth.... they know it's shit.
Twitter is one of the worst things to ever happen to celebrities. I now know how selfish, narcissistic, ignorant, and crazy some of them are. I mean I loved Stephen King growing up, but dude is a stark raving lunatic on Twitter.
Twitter made it possible to know our heroes and idols on a more personal level, it's like meeting your heroes x1000...you only end up disappointed and horrified.
King was my wakeup call. I knew he had a screw loose, I knew he was bipolar, sorry, volatile. But when he actively was upset about some political people NOT being killed in a train derailment that killed others I blocked him and deleted Twitter. I've worked with these people. Meeting your heroes is one thing. Being subjected to them on a continuous drip is pure poison.
yeah, residuals from streaming.... one of the She-hulk people who did get that showed off his tiny paycheck, 'cause streaming ain't making bank when it's crap no one wants to see
I said it on a few other vids, and I'll say it here: SAG is making a wonderful case study out of itself as to why Unions shouldn't have this kind of complete and total dominance and control over the lives of its members. There's a big difference between standing in solidarity for the common cause, and then essentially turning into the equivalent of a Home Owner's Association except for jobs.
When my grandfather was working in a CA machine shop like 55 years ago, he met perhaps the only honest union rep in history. The union was pressuring him and his coworkers to join, and they were pushing back, asking a lot of questions about what they were going to get for the dues the union was going to be taking. Guy got irritated with this, and finally screamed at them, "We don't give a F about you, we just want your money!"
@@Nevir202 Yeah that about sums it. My father worked multiple machinist jobs, and pretty much all the Unions were run by tinpot dictators that treated membership fees like tithes.I've heard so many horror stories about the various Union reps my father had to deal with before he retired. It's even worse now, as in many places you are _forced_ to join the Union by employer mandate.
I need to do some research. I never thought too much about union workers striking because it was always presented as these hardworkers being exploited and they're in dangerous conditions so they should earn more. So when it would end I'd think to myself, good for them. Seeing this writers strike makes me think, what a bunch of melodramatic divas.
They're the perfect combination of fake and self-interested, yet there are scores of people out there who think they know what's what. It's remarkable.
A life of a celebrity isn't all glitz and glamour. Then again, acting like colossal assholes to those who actually try to be nice or be civil _is not PR material._ They could try to be more tactful and not shoot their mouths off like they know better.
yea well theres a lot of just normal, non actor people like myself that are being affected by these strikes and can't go back to work and support our families. All these people who want the strike to "never end" seem to not be able to think more deeply on the matter. I encourage you to do so. There are many people who aren't actors being affected badly by all of this.
@@johnkreynolds86 well, my prayers still go out to you and those affected by the strike. Hope opportunities open up to you and others so that this strike can’t keep you from getting what you need and support families affected by it. People who want to work to provide for their families shouldn’t have to pay for the strike. Especially those in the union who want to go back to work already.
@@johnkreynolds86 It occurs to me that with the inevitable reduction of output the various strikers have procured, every part of the industry is going to be facing downsizing, not just the ones that have been striking. Is there recourse if those arseholes cause job losses in other sectors through their action?
There are activists in the writers' rooms as well but they had the sense to work out a deal with studios because they want/need to get back to work instead of pushing for things that studios would never agree to.
To call us toxic because we care about the legacy of a franchise we love so much, and we want to keep it free of ideological bullshit. Not cool. Wtf happened to Fran Drescher? She was a fairly decent actress for tv quality stuff and didn't seem unpleasant as a person. Then I lost track of her for a couple decades and here we are. What the hell?
Yeah, I was jealous of Mr. Schiffield (or whatever it is spelled) hitting on her in the nanny, she looked like a nice person apart from her also easy on the eye looks at the time, she maybe always was a shitty person but at least the Internet wasn't big enough for celebrities join in and cast their shittines all over the place, but nowadays is different and see how bat shit crazy and narcissist she turned out to be. For a woman of her age she still looks really well but now I cannot unsee her true self, now that I know her actual personality I find her ugly and disgusting as fuck. If the nanny was real, she would probably marry Mr. Schiffield just to divorce three years later and sue him for half of his fortune since she probably convinced him that her love was real and to not make a prenuptial. 😂
This will bankrupt Hollywood, I think they are grossly overestimating their future profits on an globally audience that is becoming more apathetic to established IPs and studios. The more I look at Hollywood the more I think indie and anime are the future.
They're a bloated industry. Way too top heavy for the profits they take in. Paying millions for their top stars, then having an "all star cast!!!" with a famous director, then a massive special effects tag, etc and we have movies that take hundreds of millions to make that no one wants to watch, but merely becomes content fodder for RUclipsrs (which, hey, good for us 😅). And that's just the major studios. They have way too many actors for the industry, too many writers and barely any of them have actual, real talent. I think Big Hollywood is about to go the way of live theater (like Broadway); limited product with smaller runs. The future is going to be streaming content and indie stuff, like you said.

The sad thing is that she could have seriously boosted her reputation if she had initiated a strike when the COVID mandates came up. She was obstructed.
If the top 5% of actors actually left the guild, they could start working again immediately - I can hardly believe that Leo, George, Tom and Brad actually need SG-AFTRA to negotiate their contracts. So why let them hinder you from working and providing smaller scale actors and appendage industry with jobs and income as well?
Because by not leaving they maintain their top status. If they leave certain studios can't work with them. They have contracts with the union that they will only work with the union. So that limits their ability to work right there. And on top of it they don't need to work to stay number one. As long as nothing new is being made they remained the best. Because no one can do better than them. They benefit from the lack of work. Can't be outshined if no one's working can you?
No they can't. Because movies do not only have the top5% actors, but full casts of a few stars, supporting actors and extras. You don't see a movie and everyone from the main hero down to the 5 second on camera by the janitor is played by a top5% actor. But what they CAN do is pressure people to remove the president from her position, if enough actors are fed up with her performance.
To be honest though Ryan Reynolds is basically the super rich capitalist most of these people claim to hate. Guy’s a legit billionaire due to his income away from acting.

Keep striking! I have a hundred years worth of movies and tv shows to catch up on. P.S After that last minute 57 cents stunt the studios should drop their offer.
Unfortunately a vast majority of these filmmakers and actors end up running at the mouth on social media saying the quiet parts out loud. Then completely destroy their careers doing so. Lol
It's hilarious to me that Ewan said "you're no fan of mine." Like actors, artists or musicians get to choose who is a fan of their work. It's as laughable as a politician choosing what type of person votes for them. You aren't going to like the opinions and actions of everyone who likes your work. To think otherwise is insane.
I genuinely hope there is a divide in the Union and a new one is formed for the actors that actually want to work and are reasonable. Studios can then hire the new union and Fran can ride off into obscurity
I used to find actors mildly annoying. However at this point, I think they should be considered studio property and only be allowed to interact with others when discussing their work.
There was a time when actors signed up to a studio for a set number of years and movies. The studios did control when and where they spoke out and also protected their public image - it wasn't in the studios interest for the public to think the actors were drunks or abusers or homosexual for eg, they needed the public to admire them so they would watch their films.
Actors/actresses like Bette Davis sued the studios almost hundred years ago for exactly that. The times have changed in the industry + the creation of the social media and actors insatiable desire to be seen and heard at all times kicked in... and now they can enjoy the result.
Just out of curiosity, if actors go back to work, what exactly will they be CREATING? John Wick 5? Fast and the Furious 11? Scream 7? Another few crappy Disney 'live action' read CG remakes where every character's race, gender and sexual orientation has been swapped out for something more 'progressive'? Or perhaps another few Marvel movies where the world's most pathetic villain Kang, who has already been defeated 2 or 3 times in disappointing movies is the CENTER OF ATTENTION again. God I miss Thanos. Nothing but crappy sequels and reboots / remakes in Hollywood. Identity politics running rampant, here's a crazy idea perhaps it's time THE AUDIENCE WENT ON STRIKE yeah? I've said it on other vids regarding this topic but I really hoped the strike didn't end so we could have seen what AI written scripts would have been like. We all just want direct adaptations of our favorite books and games brought to life with no added messages but that seems impossible by these horrible writers.
I just want books like dune, lord of the rings and a song of ice and fire to be made into animated series that follow the book to the letter. I don't care what the media says, true fans of the books that movies and series are based off want to see them replicated exactly on screen. Yeah, we know hownthe story goes, we just want to watch it instead of read it, sadly people don't understand that or simply don't care because pushing the message is too important.
Drescher is acting like a certain sort of women do when they achieve a Matriarch level of authority. She has decided that there is literally NOTHING in her subjects' lives that she shouldn't control.
I think the solution is to give them what they want... percentages. That's it though. JUST percentages. After expenses. So flops...mean no money. No profit...no money. It's how sales staff are paid. Sell a car, you make money. No sales..no money. Or let them earn waitress wages. That's already a thing. Just consider them "hospitality" and they get minimum wage plus "tips"... those "tips" can be a percentage.
Fun fact: Do you know who else was asing "What's my legacy going to be?" near the end of her tenure? Former Michigan Governor (and now Secretary of Energy) Democrat Jennifer Granholm -- who is currently in hot water for alleged financial shenanigans. And what was her legacy as Michigan Governor? Over 500,000 manufacturing jobs lost, over 2 million total jobs lost, and the largest mass exodus of Michigan residents in the state's history. BRAVO!!!
I work in the animation industry. There's a reason I've chosen to not join any of the guilds or unions. I know I can get more pay. I know I can get better benefits. But it's the mafia mindset that consistently turns me away.
I think you missed it. SAG whatever didn't turn down the money from the high earner actors. They said that they "graciously accept" that money, but they still want the money from the studios. So while the successfulmactors were trying to help end the strike by sacrific8ng, SAG turned around and said YES AND. Personally at this rate I hope the strike continues for a year, Hollywood ceases to exist and all the studios move their productions to non-union locations. Its crap like this why I can not endorse the idea of unions. Long ago they were absolutely necessary for terrible working conditions. But now we have OSHA, minimum wages and other laws. 90% of the good unions did is now subsumed by the government and enforced by law. So now many (most?) unions are unreasonable and greedy.
Agree in some areas. Most specifically, the union's hold over the actors needs to be broken so they can feel free to disperse and work elsewhere. I'm not sure there's any other industry where such a high percentage of the people working in it believe they need to live in the same city. I get the studio system sort of built L.A. into a company town and very convenient, making movies has changed. We don't all need to go to the warehouse and rent huge cameras at confiscatory rates to shoot movies. Stripped down, we can do it with smart phones.
@@cobbler88Movies can not be made with smart phones. Everyone thinks they are a photographer / photo expert these days but in reality they are all suffering from the Dunning-Kruger effect. Smart phones are great for snap shots and simple uses, but they are absolutely terrible for anything serious that requires actual control over the image.
@@lordsathariel4384 A good example of where a union would likely be useful is Amazon. It seems they have horrible working conditions for their delivery drivers. No one should have to pee in a bottle because they can't stop for a 10 minute bio break. Or companies where the workers are paid substantially below value. The main problem with unions is that once they get things to a fair and reasonable situation they still use strong-arm tactics to try and extort as much as possible. A company could offer industry leading pay and excellent benefits but a union would treat them like they were the most horrid company and try and extort them for much more.
It is a shame that the studios don’t get together and agree not to ever hire anyone that is a member of SAG-AFTA and start only using actors and actresses from other countries or new actors that haven’t joined the union.
This is what Wheel of Time is literally doing. And so it is now filming season three without interference at all (hoping that is a good thing, of course).
If the actors who think the fans are toxic were bigger fans themselves, they would've stepped up when the franchises were being destroyed. Why should fans care about these actors' opinions of their fandom when they don't even care about the franchise to begin with?
Why do I get the impression that they believe that they should not have to suffer when they make an unpopular product because they have limited creative control over their projects, while believing that they're so much more in control of the success or failure of their projects than the writers and directors that they have the right to demand more in their negotiations?
I wonder why the A listers just dont leave the union. They can afford the lawyers to negotiate film deals with the studios for them, which could be as good as the union one.
Because the A listers know VERY good how easy it is to find yourself at the bottom again, and they very much prefer to have a guild to watch their back.
The people who are suffering the most is the crew. Almost a year of no work. The industry normally slows down during the holidays. As it did last year, except it never picked up in January. So from Last Nov/Dec crew have been out of work. Insurance lost, homes lost, life savings gone. The people who actually make less than WGA and SAG. Financially, I can’t make another month of this strike that I don’t benefit from.

The problem with the US is that you guys have no institute who protects the rights of the workers so this syndicates appear to fill the void and they act autonomously from each other, if you have a Ministry of Work that was regulated by the government these kind of lunacy wouldn't exist. But your politicians believe that having a national institution that protects the rights of workers is a commie thing, so that's why now we have Fran Drescher running her union to the ground just for her own ego's sake.
As a UK VFX artist, its disgusting watching the narsacisium roll of people like Fran Drescher. I have a friend possibly about to sell his house, a friend who's about to be deported due to work visa, a friend who is pregnant and fighting to stay on for her Mat Pay, these are just a few examples, and with the Guardian saying this recently " a survey from the industry union Bectu estimated three-quarters of freelance film and TV crew in Britain were out of work." It's heartbreaking!
With over 100 years of superior tv and movies that I can revisit, all I can say is, I hope this strike last another year or two and these grown up pretenders get nothing.
It’s glorious how they could be shut down until next _year._ They don’t deserve to work, nor do they deserve to have fans. They’re greedy bastards, that poked the bear one to many times. Poor Fran. 😔 She’ll have to go back to the Bridal Shop in Queens. 😂

Doing some simple internet searches, i found the following:- The average US salary is $59,428. This varies by state, so in Columbia its $89,800, in South Dakota is $42,920 - California is $61,290. In San Francisco or LA, families ideally need a post tax income of $76k to $84k to live without having to make hard decisions. Just look at the streets of SanFran if you want to see what uncontrolled social problems and poverty looks like. Film Directors earn between $250k to $2m per project (over 2 years, with some overlap between projects) Screenwriters earn between $60k to $75K per year. Actors earn between $31k to $861k on average, with a median salary of $154k. Yes the biggest names earn more. Top Hollywood executives earn an average of $28m….. So they may be unpopular / inept / personality disordered - but pay the screenwriters and actors a living wage? Also, stop abusing aspiring actors (casting couch, “industry parties”) or having a male lead in their 50’s with a female lead in their early 20’s - it’s creepy.
That was just brilliant and summarise perfectly the situation. As VFX professional(affected by the strike) I really needed to understand this madness. Thank you.
These actors need to go be sent without their paychecks to go survive in the jungle for five months. If some die, some die. If some live, believe me they would finally be, maybe, slightly human.
It's sort of funny that Alec guinness is often claimed to dislike Star Wars, but his exact words are how he hated the movies dialogue and he was bewildered by the sheer amount of devotion the movie caused, never once did he call the fans of the film wrong or toxic, nor did he chide them for liking a role he personally looked down on, he simply claimed HE was out of touch with THEM.
I just came up with an idea in my other post that is exactly what Reese Witherspoon is wanting. Optimistic stuff that makes girls excited to be woman in this world. It is called Rambeau First Blood about Monica Rambeau (the black 'captain marvel') who is about her younger self who is a girl coming of age getting her first period, hence First Blood, and is a bonding story between Mother and Daughter. I don't think you can get more excited and womanly than that. It is a movie made for mothers and daughters to bond over, and yes in the movie the mother and daughter shop for the girls first ever training bra. That is the stuff of coming of age tales that are timeless for all girls and the movie will be Feminist and Intersectional obviously.

That is a fantastic idea for her first cramps. I would watch those feminine product ads to help write the perfect dialogue for the script@@DeetotheDubs
My favourite bit was the when the A listers offered to pay more, a clear bribe, and she said "we accept that graciously", as in, "I'ma do you a favour and accept your bribe." then turned around and refused to do what they bribed her to do anyway. And you know shes gonna take their money, shes gonna hold them to offering to pay more union fees. But she will never give them what they want.
There are a lot of talented writers and directors out there - they certainly aren't working for Hollywood - and modern technology puts decent movie-making within the reach of a reasonably wealthy individual, never mind a small partnership. The only thing keeping Hollywood alive is inertia, especially the movie theaters. If there was a reliable way to get truly independent movies into the theaters that would be a win for everyone who isn't in Hollywood.
Fran Drescher is on stage, not sitting at a table and negotiating in good faith. She’s performing an imagined role rather than doing the actual job she’s supposed to be doing. Acting is all she knows how to do. What a surprise.
The longer it takes the worst it gets for the union. I suspect a lot of people will be opting out of them after this nonsense. Less opportunities yes, but once one has been obtained no one can stop you from being paid.
I miss the old days when I thought Chuck Norris or Mel Gibson were an exception for being hardcore bible thumpers and creationists, but the more these actors went on social media and opened their mouth, the more I had to realize that almost all of these adult pretenders are literally full of sh*t. I used to look up to Arnorld Schwarzenegger, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill for f*cks sake! Feels so stupid now. Thanks to social media I've been reading a lot more books lately. And cancelled all my streaming services.
Yeah finding out Harrison Ford is a douche was hard. Like, I loved watching Indiana Jones movies with my folks growing up, and it kinda taints in now when I watch them with my kids. All they had to do is STFU, keep out of politics (unless they were running for office), keep their personal stuff personal and be positive about whatever movie or show they were doing.

Unfortunately, that would simply be asking too much of them, to keep their personal politics to themselves. At any rate, they are typically making FAR more than most working-class people do. I could give a steamy duke that it is not as much as the A listers make. Because it is still a damn sight more than anyone in service or hospitality is making. Let alone anyone who works manual labor. So, piss on their strike. Let them go and get a real job if they are so miserable with what they are making being an actor.

Actors are far more narcissistic staring in the mirror than writers and directors. They are over-rewarded for what is in the end quite a frivolous career as contribution to humanity goes. They are completely optional unlike say, plumbers or doctors. Were jesters, past entertainers the "stars" of the firmament, paid astronomically more than people who actually plied useful trades?
First why don't they have multiple Unions for both Actors and Screenwriters and other crew. Do the other crew (ie. grips and other staff) even have a Union? Doesn't seem like they do as these writers are screwing them all over. Teachers have multiple unions and sure one can be the 'largest union' but part of the solution they need more than one per profession. Secondly, real actual Marxists and Socialists took over the unions, many of them at least going back quite a while, some back to the mid-1990's, no joke, and the Hollywood unions are completely controlled by Marxist ideology. Shhh, don't tell anyone there are real Socialists and Communists in Hollywood who Blacklist Conservatives and anyone who doesn't tow their ideological line, ironically doing the very thing they claimed is horrible, bad and foul for decades as they railed against blacklisting people back in the 1950s.
I think they should get a reality check and people just stop hiring people who are clearly dealing with some serious mental issues or clearly never met a real person in the last 20 years 😂
Fran Drescher leads SAG-AFTRA and despite being offered similar contracts to the WGA and DGA, it's not enough for our precious actors.

So why let them hinder you from working and providing smaller scale actors and appendage industry with jobs and income as well?
Because by not leaving they maintain their top status. If they leave certain studios can't work with them. They have contracts with the union that they will only work with the union.

Stripped down, we can do it with smart phones.
ye like from what iv observed there is very few industries that justify having unions these days and acting/writing isn't one of them in my eyes
If things go on much longer you will see them setting up front companies to do productions in other English speaking countries
"If you're going to be proud, make it of something you've done, not what you happen to be" I like that man
I wonder why the A listers just dont leave the union. They can afford the lawyers to negotiate film deals with the studios for them, which could be as good as the union one.
But... the awards! The media!
Because the A listers know VERY good how easy it is to find yourself at the bottom again, and they very much prefer to have a guild to watch their back.
If memory serves, California is a closed shop state, which means you have to join the union if they have one at your job.
All this really does just boil down to greed. That devil hole has a hyper inflated sense of worth and that industry thinks they deserve more.
Hopefully Hollywood actors are held accountable for their real crimes.
The union went from standing together to being a workers HOA. Just bonkers
The greatest lie peddled by unions is that they're any different from corporations they "protect" you from. The second greatest lie they peddle is that they have your best interests at heart.
They have your best interest at hart, same as a thug that makes sure your restaurant doesn't spontaneously combust.
@@luckyfk3452depends on the union, mine actually got all the workers in our state great pay increases and access to basically free medical services through the Gov, just because SOME unions are bad doesn't mean they all are
I thought the same thing till I joined a union. Workers uniting for fair pay, treatment, etc is something all workers should do right? Hand better than a finger. Bundle stronger than a twig. U know, logic
@@TrekCannonunions can be good or bad. I think reducing all of them as one or the other is not realistic.
You are the Union.
I have a friend possibly about to sell his house, a friend who's about to be deported due to work visa, a friend who is pregnant and fighting to stay on for her Mat Pay, these are just a few examples, and with the Guardian saying this recently " a survey from the industry union Bectu estimated three-quarters of freelance film and TV crew in Britain were out of work."
It's heartbreaking!
And yet millions take their moral direction from Hollywoke actors and actresses... scary times...
For the love of God, make a deal. Not for you P.O.S actors/writers, i hope you all get fired and black listed by the studios but their greed are screwing over so many people who work their ass off behind the scene that are blameless in their crusade.
Meh, learn to code
No please no i don't want to imagine what kind of fuck up program they will make with their ego
It’s all the same trash industry
It's funny that thumbnail Fran Drescher looks more like snow white than Rachel Ziegler.
Trouble is, some idiots gave her a fair whack of power, and now she's acting like the Evil Queen.
Thank you for covering this strike so thoroughly. I had no idea what was happening. It's out of control. Hope the A-list puts pressure on the "leadership" and ends this strike soon.
The actors guild is basically poisoning the water for everyone else in Hollywood. Which is not surprising because outside of the writers the actors were at the forefront of bashing fans.
I was terrified you were going to push the play button over Fran. The smarmy condensation dripping off her words made her voice worse that on the nanny.
I think you mean condescension. Condensation is what happens when droplets of water form on a cold surface.
@@evenovick481 I don't know, I can imagine there was a chilly aura around her when she made that condescending video, so there might have been condensation dripping off her words. 😛
@@juryrigging Can't argue with that!
How on earth did we end up in a position where people actually care what celebrities think about real world issues? I don't ask my binman for his opinion on the economy, nor do I ask the waiter who brings my meal what he thinks about Israel/Palestine. Why would I ask the guy who stands in front of a camera and says some lines for his ill-thought-out ramblings?
The bin man and your waiter are engaging in reality on a daily basis, I’m not going to write their opinion off.
More room for good films in cinemas without Disney taking all the screens
Disparu... Hope you cover the remaining episodes of Robyn in the Hood... Loved the other coverages of the the other episodes... very much appreciate it.. all the best
It's like a plumber demanding 5% of the customer's water bill every month because they snaked their drain a few times
You the top A-listers who are in the prime of their career are 100% in Drescher's ear telling her to get this shit done now. This union will absolutely break if this strike lasts much longer.
Doing some simple internet searches, i found the following:-
The average US salary is $59,428.
Film Directors earn between $250k to $2m per project (over 2 years, with some overlap between projects)
Screenwriters earn between $60k to $75K per year.
As long as Hollywood strikes, and the Dailywire produces content, I'll be happy.
I'd consider watching for the name, alone. Top-notch.
Bonus points if her first cramps happen while her and Momma are blasting aliens on the moon or in-flight. Then jump-cut to Earth where Momma is giving her the talk.
Andrew Garfield was being sarcastic in that interaction with Zegler. Only she didn't catch the sarcasm.
I really wish that can keep this strike for a really long time.
This is the point where the studios need to come back with progressively diminished offers from the highpoint previously offered and declined.
I have always wanted whether peer to peer streaming could take over from the power of the studios
I mean youtube has dozens of channels that do that.
A legacy of bankrupting movie theaters, robbing crew of jobs and pay indefinitely, and closing businesses that supplied the sets.
'The WGA settled too quickly' from the union that started striking 'in solidarity' 2 MONTHS after the WGA.
Fran Drescher is on stage, not sitting at a table and negotiating in good faith. She’s performing an imagined role rather than doing the actual job she’s supposed to be doing. Acting is all she knows how to do. What a surprise.
she got really cocky after she married Mr. Sheffield.
Clearly SAG-AFTRA doesn't seem to care about their "fans" stealing their work... I think I may cancel Netflix...
The longer it takes the worst it gets for the union. I suspect a lot of people will be opting out of them after this nonsense.
Less opportunities yes, but once one has been obtained no one can stop you from being paid.
Streaming make’s negative money. So they want 2.5 billion of negative 1 billion in profit…
@@sarasunshinemt4444Makes sense to me. I mean, why hurt your own product by injecting politics to begin with?? Unfortunately, that would simply be asking too much of them, to keep their personal politics to themselves.
At any rate, they are typically making FAR more than most working-class people do. I could give a steamy duke that it is not as much as the A listers make. Because it is still a damn sight more than anyone in service or hospitality is making. Let alone anyone who works manual labor.
So, piss on their strike. Let them go and get a real job if they are so miserable with what they are making being an actor.
If it makes you feel any better, I can confirm that Clint Eastwood is a nice dude. He stayed at the hotel I work at months ago to shoot a movie and was super nice to us the whole time. His daughter was also very nice.
Do you stop listening to music, watching sports, etc because of people's personal lives or personalities?
@@tiredofthebs9When the personalities or actions are sufficiently heinous? Yes. We all have our criteria and limits, if it doesn't bother you, I'm glad you can still enjoy, not everybody can put up with it, nor should they. It's a personal decision, like most moral and preferential ones are.
Let’s add a levy to subscribers in a cost of living crisis where people at looking at what subscriptions to get rid of , when the studios are losing subscribers
"It's not about the money. It's about sending a message."

I think they should get a reality check and people just stop hiring people who are clearly dealing with some serious mental issues or clearly never met a real person in the last 20 years 😂
You missed that she sed would accept the money but wouldn't change her stance
