@ very sorry some of the systems are needing repaired. The payoff is the beautiful boat and the adventure that awaits you. I’ll be watching whatever you share to get my fix 😅. Thank you!
We left Palmetto on the west coast of FL on the same date you’re leaving. Then we meet you later at Cedar Island Marina (our new home port). This should be fun to compare our trips up the coast. 😀
Watched your video of the trip north. It was interesting. We haven’t been through Georgia on the ICW yet. We certainly did have different trips. We took the outside up to NC. We also prefer to anchor rather than go to marinas. Fun to see the differences.
Welcome back! I am sure that all will work out, it just sucks that it is so nerve racking. I’d love to hear your thoughts on cruising on the east coast as compared to your old cruising grounds. The pluses and the minuses
Thanks! Being Alaska born and raised it is sure different on the East coast! We cruise to get away from people and be with nature in Alaska. That is certainly not what it is like on the ICW. We hope to head up to Maine and Canada this summer. I think there might be less houses up there…. Not as hot either! We still meet lots of great boaters tho. Boaters are awesome people.
Sounds like a nightmare to be honest. No doubt things will work themselves out but I guess you’re reliant on the previous owner and survey for a large part of the problems and their resolution. Hope that was reflected in the price 😊
You had me laughing with that comment. Sometimes we wonder. N5520 had 2 great owners who knew what they were doing and kept her up. But, even she needed work when we got her. We immediately dumped over $200,000 into her and were are the hard with her for months. We just didn’t share that part of our adventure.
Love the stories. Keep them coming. I can’t wait to buy one when I near retirement.
Well…. It sounds like you are going to enjoy the story coming out this Sunday….

Is that Bob Benavides at the beginning of the video?
What a story you are building with Haversea 50!
It is a story! Wait till you see what happens next week! I never in my wildest dreams thought what happened would happen.
Great video. Reality of boat life at times. No fun playing beat the calendar.
Thanks! It can be quite the struggle.

Merry Christmas to you too!

We needed some time before we were up for doing these videos….
Is this boat a little smaller?
Yes, it is smaller. Not as smaller as we thought we would go… but it is smaller.
What is the build year for the old 55 as well as the build year for the 50?
Our N55 was a 2006. The N55 is a 2003.
Should have kept the other boat
