I have a question concerning the 4th (or 3rd?) commandment (please see my own reply to this message):
    26:02 Bishop Williamson:
"The 10 commandments are commandments, They are not options. I can't say I will obey eight of the commandments and two of them I wont obey. [...]. The ten commendments are not ten options. Nor can men fool around with the commandments."

    • @staffan144
      @staffan144 5 месяцев назад

And here follows my question about the keeping of _all_ the ten commanments, including the 4th (or 3rd?), starting with some background information:
Fourth Commandment in Exodus 20:8-11 (this is numbered as the Third Commandment by Catholics and Lutherans):
_“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God."_
      And (from google)
_"For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death. The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant."_
      And from google / wikipedia:
*"What is the true Sabbath day of the Bible*
_"We should observe the seventh day of the week (Saturday), from even to even, as the Sabbath of the Lord our God. Evening is at sunset when day ends and another day begins. No other day has ever been sanctified as the day of rest. The Sabbath Day begins at sundown on Friday and ends at sundown on Saturday."_
      Now back to my question:
Why did the Catholic teachings _change_ the Sabbath (7th day of rest) from the original Saturday to Sunday?
And what are Bishop Willianson's views on these issues and the teachings of the Catholic church regarding it. And possible consequences from disobeying one of the ten commanments, and the Catholic church even teaching it to everyone?
(And meanwhile I am also aware of that Bishop Williamson just said that you must not fool around with the ten commanments and _ALL_ ten commandments must still/always be obeyed.
So why then, did Catholic teachings change the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday, and not teach that Sabbath (the 7th day of rest/communion with God) is always and will always remain and be unchanged, i.e. on Saturday, as was originally declared and obeyed previously?)
My question is cinsere and no pun intended. And perhaps I have misunderstood something?
      Kind regards, Staffan

@@staffan144 Jesus Christ Our Lord and Saviour rose from the Dead on Easter Sunday. @@staffan144Catholics didn’t change the sabbath! Jesus did when He rose on the 3rd day which was Sunday!!! This is the new covenant!!! Note the old covenant and the scribes and Pharisees using it to lord it over their people and how Jesus tried to teach them to have some common sense like they treated the animals better than the human Jews on the sabbath. What hypocrites. And see the Bible says the first day of the week and also the didache from the apostles shows the change. How hard is it to understand this??? They broke the covenant when they rejected Jesus as the messiah in favor of there material wealth and power they were unwilling to give up. They expected a messiah who would fight the Roman’s so they could be the great power. God’s plan has always been loving each other but they reject this teaching Jesus came to teach so now they have no right to Israel!!! Unless they accept the true messiah Jesus. Pray the veil is lifted from their hearts and the blindness removed from their hearts!!!🛐🛐🛐

Saint Peter as pope changed it to Sunday because of the Resurrection.
As for the Ten Commandments, it is taught in the Church that if you break one you break them all.
Maybe the Catechism of Trent would be of help to better understand.

It just proves the confusion of vatican 2 ..and that qas ratzingers great error under rhaner and co he wrote back then that the jewish covenant was still valid later on he started to realise his folly ...he said "the church will be kept and purified in a small fold who wont go with the world" "yet a small number remains faithfull"...i recommend the later pope benadicts writings on this subject but his early stuff is full of oil mixed with water

Meanwhile, to consider a different interpretation / answer from the Bible, may I suggest the book _"Satan’s First Lie: Exposing Global Myths About Death, Ghosts, and the Afterlife"_ by Steve Wohlberg.
*Description* [without revealing the actual content, but if you want to know the main points presented in the book right away, you can ask me here in the comments]:
"A long, long time ago, before our world became infected by sin, a beautiful serpent perched himself among the colorful branches of a unique tree called “the tree of the knowledge of good and evil” (see Genesis 2:16,17; 3:1). Unknown to Eve-the first woman ever created by our loving God-that mysterious reptile was about to become a mouthpiece for a dark, masterfully deceptive, sinister being. When the creature spoke, its voice was soft, smooth, melodious, and mesmerizing. “You shall not surely die” (see Genesis 3:4), was its seductive message. Tragically, Eve believed the snake and chose to taste forbidden fruit.
This is how sin and death entered the human family.
Believe it or not, that ancient serpent’s message is now being repeated by nearly every religious teacher and religion on planet Earth.
      But it’s a lie.
Satan’s First Lie will take you on a fascinating journey of discovery through the inspired pages of the Holy Bible. Although its message will probably be different from what you have previously been taught, the evidence it presents is thoroughly biblical, supremely sensible, and ultimately, irrefutable. As globally popular errors are exposed, you will find peace and hope about a fantastic future beyond the grave."

We have to remember that God knew what was going to happen when He created Adam and Eve and He did it anyway. Why? Because He wanted to share His kingdom and He saw that He could take good out of evil. He refused to take away free will because He wants to be loved by choice, not by force.
He sent His Only Son into the world to redeem us, so we could go to Heaven. When someone loves you so much to send His Only Son to die for us, it is very hard to not want to love Him and do His will.

@@530jazzercise The real answer to your question is this: God doesn’t see it the same way you do. You see it as He should prevent us from hurting ourselves, but that would take away free will. He wants us to freely choose to love Him, so the choice of good or evil stays.

This will sound funny but in the days of st edward the king o england was on his deathbed 2 holymen came to him and told him the land is under a curse etc ...he asked how long will this be and when will the faith teturn to england ...he said "in the day when a green tree will be separetad from its root it will be for 30 furlongs (30 odd years )...then this green tree without the help of governance will be basicaly engrafted to what used to be the faith of england ...since the 1988 the tradition of the catholic church has been separated from its place and it has come to england ....because of the nature of what lefevbre built it would be the greatest prototype of restoration that could be wielded to reform not only the full of england but also europe would get jealous and say ..look they have restored theas exellent churches and build a strong community ...the man lefevbre is said to be the recapitulation of the macabees as their leader was honored and buried in mountains aswell...they have built a church from a derooted tree 🌳...akin to the ancient church of st edward and of like of st margret who was an exile and looked after exiles since scotland was outside still the old empire ...i hear that the man who founded them was an exile aswell ....then england would fulfill the prophecy of la sallet and don bosco ..".a great nation in the north now protestant will return to its faith with the help of this nation all the other nations will be reformed

Is the DRA bible plausible to prove the trinity, I will be taking verses from it to find out. I will start from Adam and Eve and go to todays baptism. Adam and Eve were the first two to sin and the first two to be saved ( Genesis 3:21 ) And the Lord made for Adam and his wife, garments of skins, and clothed them. The blood was the sacrifice for sin because life is in the blood ( Genesis 4:10 ) { Abel's } blood crieth to me from the earth. This was the sacrifice throughout the old testament until one day in ( John 1:29 ) John saw Jesus coming to him and he saith " Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who taketh away the sin of the world. So ( Acts 22:16 ) .... Rise up, and be baptized and {wash away thy sins} { calling on his name } because ( 1 John 1:7 ) ...... we have fellowship with one another and { the blood of Jesus Christ } his Son { cleanseth us from all sin } How does this happen ( 1 John 5:8 ) And there are three on earth: the Spirit, and the water, and the blood, and these three are one. How they come together is by { calling on Jesus name } when you { call on Jesus name } in comes his Spirit then in comes his blood and it mixes into the water, and when you get down into the water there's a {washing, and a cleansing } that makes your spirit white as snow. ( Hebrews 9:22 ) Explains it this way: And almost all things, according to the law, are { cleansed with blood } and without the shedding of blood there is no remission. Now I cannot show you his Spirit it's invisible, and I can't show you his blood shed at Cavalry, but I can show you the water, the water with the blood in it is the only water that can save you, and the only way you get it applied is by {calling the name of Jesus } there's no other name in which you can be saved ( Acts 4;12-13 ) But you can say I was baptized as an infant, no blood, no remission, you can go down the river and be dunked three times, no blood, no remission, but what of all of those who were baptized in Father, Son , and Holy Spirit, no blood, no remission. ( Ephesians 4:5 ) One Lord, one faith, one baptism. And it's for everyone no exceptions.
