An actual nerd, not afraid to test the groundwork of what science and technology has put forth. I appreciate you demonstrating the insulation on the PSU or "Brick".
And for crashing your motherboards together, that was nice.
I appreciated that as well
This comment deserves a pin imo.
Yea, cuz when I’m choosing RAM, my priority is how much LED brightness it gives off.
Just too bad you cant see any of that for all the wires all over the place :P
@@runeolesen8916 To think of it, my corsair has rgb, didn't relise until after i built it into a solid black case! haha, I dont car anyways, although my new gpu has stupid amounts of rgb on it...might just turn it off as ill never see it :P
In single channel no less.
I don't know what is with morons installing tons of led in computers. Sure, it looks great but in lot of cases it harms a lot more. It is fun for day or two then who cares. Besides, I have my computer in my sleeping room and I never turn it off. Imagine having it glow more then wall light.
LEDs are worth 10 FPS each.
1:20 "Does this Swiss Army Knife have a screwdriver in it? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement of building a PC, I've kinda lost track myself. You've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do you, punk?"

@@davegods278 he thought he had the powers of wakanda
You got to respect those who attempt to learn & build a pc on their own, b/c a lot of people are not willing to do that. I think the Verge's problem was that he believes his build has no flaws.
actually there’s a video of him saying that this wasn’t his first computer

Did he just install the power supply with the fan facing the inside ?
He did. I missed it
it was an intake fan, the air blows out the back
yes, yes he did. about to suffocate his psu. lol. not to mention no fans on the radiator and possibly puncturing his radiator with the fan screws because they are too long.
the fan is facing a wall, no air to intake.

"Graphics-Cards [prices] are coming down" boy, that didnt age well
You missed the fact that he actually tried to put the RAM in upside down but they cut away and when it came back, he'd flipped it around. Also how he didn't install the standoff for the M.2 drive and put his PSU in upside down. All that aside, still a really good vid.
Neither did he use the pcu holder. When he is done installing the cpu, you can see it's on the desk.
He basically missed 98.9 % of all the errors. Not such a nerd right
Nigga thats what the supercut is for
@@CVelixar and he could have put cpu and cooler and ram FIRST before putting it in the case, hes making his life harder

If you can't beat em, join em!
Actually no, you need a table, not a desk, if you use a desk the power supply could short circuit and come into contact with the rest of the system
Verge guy: motherboards are delicate so be careful
Tom5tom: Hold my Swiss Army knife with a screwdriver

He never actually used the Swiss army knife and the allen key/wrench
He did use the Swiss army knife, when he was screwing in the screws for the motherboard.
Lucifer the Allen wrench is for opening up the case with the optional screws.
or the "TwEeZeRs"
SUPRA No he did
He did an awful job at it but he did
Ive built my last two PCs and that's all. Before attempting my first I did a lot of research and watched many guides.
If I recorded my first build and made a guide video I would have ruined the verges video and I am just a humble builder not an IT guy. Poor verge, it was like watching a teenager trying to drive for the first time
I kept thinking my headphone drivers went to sh^t again, turns out this cracking noise is from the video.....
I really want an i7 "yeah we got one" too. Sounds pretty heavy
4:00 I think he's talking about watching netflix, yes... he recommended $1000 for netflix
The Verge's Streisand effect brought me here... gratz on your piss take though!
and hey.. The Verge didn't dare strike you!
Note that the host's name is Stefan ("Stephen" in German) Etienne ("Stephen" in French). So, he's essentially "Stephen Stephen." Also, the producer is "Phil Esposito"…who I assume is NOT the Phil Esposito who was the star hockey player for Boston some fifty years ago. Was everyone in this video using a pseudonym?
I've watched these videos probably a hundred times and just know noticed when mounting the Cpu cooler to the motherboard that I don't remember him ever installing the back bracket?
When he installs the cpu 19:51 it looks like the threaded inserts from the backplate are not there. I wonder if he had to pull the mobo back out to install it.
Which one? To him, everything is a bracket
tom the kinda guy to get beaten up in the hall at school and even the teachers cheer on the bullies
Where did this guy go I really wanted to see him put the motherboards into a pc
the worse part is even a person like me with zero build skills was like: wtf....they paid this guy for this?!
Agreed, I've only built one...I could have done a lot better than this. He laid out 4 things that would be essential and only used 1..an Allen key?.. Wtf
When I first saw the original video I thought it was an April's Fool joke...but it wasn't April.
I fell in love with this video the moment I saw your face. I will be rewatching it every morning until my lungs have no air in them
This pooped up in my recommended, this was the best goddamn video about the build I've watched yet. Subbed!
well this comment got hearted so he's still on RUclips
He screwed through the radiator and installed cpu block with 3 screws.
The two games he used to test the build was Arma 3 that can drop down below 30 FPS on 10k$ PC and League of Legends that can run on a smart toaster... They seriously couldn't pick anything better... wow.
You know, I will admit that once I got the performance I wanted out of my PC I did take the time to coordinate the aesthetics just so that it looked nice. Just to take that time and care and show attention to detail.
Performance (and airflow) first!
I sometimes rewatch all these reactions to verge's epic fail, and I just found this video. I love it
when a bad video emerges its like a new series of a TV show.
frick .. I have 2GB RAM and i still can edit videos.. that man is really out of his mind
I didnt even know that existed
oSneezi - it doesn’t he’s capping
Rizzy Playzz o
There's no way u can edit with 2gb of ram tbh
@@glitchedexploiter_yt3641 Idk if this is a joke ... but there is bruh .. I'm using a 2GB RAM PC to edit while using my 4GB one for mid-gaming .. since I don't want to overload my 4GB PC so I decided to make the 2GB RAM PC to be my workbench
Love how you clapped the motherboards together and then tossed them.
I know I’m late but The motherboard part had me dieing. Nice vid!
I can't believe you clapped them motherboards!! That physically hurt me to watch.. Your crazy haha, nice video.
6:07 He said "Asus Z370."
23:44 Installing Windows 10 from the website without putting a license key in isn't piracy because it's from Microsoft themselves. Granted, in January 2020 this will probably change and they will start requiring one, but for now, I don't even get the watermark. You can get keys for cheap anyway. There's no need to pay $100-$300 for Windows 10.
lmaooo love your reactions. couldnt agree more.
i love how the last part looks like its your head on his body
I'm looking forward to the Verge's gaming video cringe.
18:15 omg that was one heck of attention to detail. i hadn't noticed that before!
Yea, I know right? But I saw that the first time I saw it, so cringy it had my entire back spasm out (not the painful type mind you).
Looked like he was putting thermal paste in the middle and spreading with the applicator. Cringe and shocked he didn’t bend anything.
This probably made this guy un hireable anywhere.
I'm not done watching the video yet, but how did you miss him putting that so called "brick" in the wrong way. He literally killed it's air supply.
The cringe clouded my eyes.
@@Tom5TomEntertainment Fair enough.
If The Verge had a sense of humor, they could show the making of their video. It would be comedy gold, and they could partially redeem themselves. I'm just waiting for them to redo this video like they said they were going to do. My guess is that they never will.
not just grounded but every part of the PSU is isolated from the external casing lol, if any caps or circuitry wires are intake with the metal shell then its shoddy, only earth/ground should be wired to the casing
8-core CPU, guys, my fellow professionals, I bet you jelly.
10 cores biatch!
XD
“You’re not Linus” at 19:13 best line in the whole video!
You made many good points. I disagreed with a few of your points like "looks don't matter" or "Speed doesn't matter" but I guess we all have a preferences.
With the Verge's DCMA against BitWit overturned I wanted to check out a few more reactions to the original. Out of the four I've seen (two just tonight) your's caught both the obvious and subtle stupidity as well as calling out camerawork and editing that would make a newbie RUclipsr with a flip phone and windows movie maker look like the next Sepielberg. At times it was hard to watch. BTW the only thing I saw and you *might* have missed was seating the SSD. It should have snapped into place but we only see a jump cut to it shakily lying just above where it should be. Otherwise, bravo for both making this video and the intestinal fortitude it took to watch the original.
Well, apparently everything is a bracket, slot, or brace? Nailed it..
Now i know how gaben looks like when he was younger :D Dude you are an absolute genius!!
Your commentary cracks me up!
14:47 - this reaction is just gold! I would like to make a meme out of this!
i want to scream, but i’m at a public place
someone give me a pillow to scream into
why am I just seeing your video now? Man, I love this video !
*Great catch @ **19:00** mark!* NEVER press down on the CPU when installing it into the processor socket! NEVER!
23:40 nice picture in picture. Also great vid really enjoyed your content.
This is the last upload you did.
Did the Verge send a hitman to take you out?
He didn’t put in the standoff for the m.2 lol
you didnt notice the fan frying itself in the case :D
I did something stupid with my current build...yeah forgot to move a card backplate from under the motherboard, then wondered why the mobo was flexing lol....And, to this day 6 months later, pc still works flawlessly!
FYI, the case being used is a Corsair 280x mAtx case. It can easily fit the GPU and PSU in it.
Thanks for the info. I figured that it would be a better idea to chose a larger case for a beginner guide so there's more room to plug stuff in.
The job of the cable in antistatic bracelts, is to move the negative/pozitive charges in your body to another surface(earth ground), but antistatic bracelets is just a resistor(vrey rhin wire wich oposes to current) just in the air. It's exactly like holding a piece of wore
Many people made videos covering this train wreck but yours and Bitwits are my two favorites. Thanks for this!
When he smashes the mother boards together I died 😂
So did the motherboards
Javascript Kiddie lol
I just made a scratch in my motherboard on my first computer. I feel better now.
Its been 2 years now...but its still funny to watch this PC Build 😂😂😂
The Verge: Waffles about everything wrong
Also Verge: Yeets the CPU cover
Also, ALSO Verge: Went all bukake with the thermal paste
Thanks for going to that extra effort to explain the durability of motherboards and why grounding pads are not a thing.
It's actually easier to break the motherboard standoffs than the actual motherboard.
I had to do this a couple of times when the standoff screws got their threads worn out.
Your sense of humour is amazing bro 😂😂😂😂
MY first built didn't have half as many mistakes...cause I PREPARED... And I had a screwdriver! And my PC is not the laughing stock of the internet. Or my Twitter fucked lol. At least I could admit to fucking up....
I'm watching here right now to complete all of the The Verge pc build reaction series
I feel like he'd be that guy telling you to go into a high voltage box via tech support for Frontier.
Ironically this is the most entertaining content the Verge has ever put out.
He installed that ssd without the standoff and PSU the wrong way, he also mounted the radiator without the fans and still used the long screws to drill a hole in it
The videos are still coming, even Jayztwocents was taking the piss a bit in a recent video.
