Navi, Zen2, Sunny Cove, 8cx? The only way 2019 is not going to be a good year for PC gaming is if ALL of these are disappointing. Navi is the most important though - if it's bad enough, and everything else is average, it will still not be good enough. We need cheap mid-range graphics as well as better CPUs.
If you turn left to right too fast, the engine crashes. It's beautiful. Don't worry...... they're working on it..... and by working on it, they mean they're going to let users make their own fixes.

Just re-watching some of the disappointment build videos now that I understand the context of what is going on. I'm an Intel guy, have my 9700 at 5.0 on all cores prime stable at 1.250 and love in on a real water loop BUT an waiting to c how AMD does with its new chips and cards bc if they do what they say my 2nd rig will be AMD all the way.

I think most people who are against them just don't see the with of the product. Key selling points aren't even being made use of and it has similar performance to a 1080ti but for almost double the price. I'm holding off getting one until ray tracing becomes more common. Rtx might be the hold grail of graphics, but you don't drink simple water from a grail. Seems like it will be a really good card coming soon. But nvidia saying just buy it was pretty damn dumb.

Funny thing about Walmart's gaming PC, back in the Windows 3.2 and 95 days you could buy decent PC's from the same types of retail stores... before Walmart was a huge retailer. Ofcourse you had a choice of beige box or beige box... but they were decently priced for the hardware inside said beige box. Not the greatest hardware but priced reasonably for what you get. Anywho, where is the benchmarks for the build?
The 1030 DDR4 was basically like every other shoddy low end card they pushed out. The GT 730 4 GB DDR3, 2 GB GT 610 DDR3, 1 GB GT 210 DDR2, FX5200, Geforce 4 MX, etc
Mr BuzzKill so were those low-end cards with their GDDR3 and DDR3 versions or their 1GB and 2GB versions (that did improve absolutely nothing because it's not the bottleneck of those cards). Both manufacturers did trick people with misleading labels on this low-end market. That's disappointing but not a surprise. And at least this time you don't have an old architecture renumbered like an actual one, it's a Pascal chip.
My parenthesis was about the usefulness of 2GB models (or 4GB), not on the type of RAM. And that adds up with DDR : At the same price, a newbie will take the DDR3 2GB instead of the GDDR3 1GB. Yes that's disgusting but in fact it's less a scam comparing to the past. In that marketing Nvidia seems to finally improve a bit.
Do you guys have any plans of reviewing the BitFenix Enso Mesh edition? Was interested in the original, but was turned off by the thermals, but now that the mesh version is out I might actually consider it. Of course, it'd be nice to have your guy's opinion on it before making the purchase.

Funny thing about Walmart's gaming PC, back in the Windows 3.2 and 95 days you could buy decent PC's from the same types of retail stores... before Walmart was a huge retailer. Ofcourse you had a choice of beige box or beige box... but they were decently priced for the hardware inside said beige box. Not the greatest hardware but priced reasonably for what you get.

The 1030 DDR4 was basically like every other shoddy low end card they pushed out. The GT 730 4 GB DDR3, 2 GB GT 610 DDR3, 1 GB GT 210 DDR2, FX5200, Geforce 4 MX, etc
I'm not sure many people were looking forward to that one... so. Less disappointing. Haha
Mr BuzzKill so were those low-end cards with their GDDR3 and DDR3 versions or their 1GB and 2GB versions (that did improve absolutely nothing because it's not the bottleneck of those cards). Both manufacturers did trick people with misleading labels on this low-end market. That's disappointing but not a surprise. And at least this time you don't have an old architecture renumbered like an actual one, it's a Pascal chip.
My parenthesis was about the usefulness of 2GB models (or 4GB), not on the type of RAM. And that adds up with DDR : At the same price, a newbie will take the DDR3 2GB instead of the GDDR3 1GB.
Yes that's disgusting but in fact it's less a scam comparing to the past. In that marketing Nvidia seems to finally improve a bit.
