Shaman is my fav, just hit 3rd prestige. Ngl the more I play this game the less rough it feels, last night I got on and it felt amazing I was weaving in and out of cover through tunnels taking out solders and squads and relocating so they couldn’t find me. This game is sick man
Yeah, the jank is still for sure but I've grown pretty acustomed to it. I love Shaman so far but as I collect more firearms I can't use I might start dabbling my feet into a few different classes to see how they feel.
The issues I have is the ai is very dumb. Like really really stupid. I had a game where I stood in front of a squad while they looked for me. And optimization for the game is a bit rough and could use some work cause the game looks like it can be run by a gtx 1080 on low(it can’t. I tried it on my laptop and it barely runs the game on all low.) but other than that the game is very fun, extremely unique, scary, and hella hilarious with friends. The game is literally new so all the issues I said will probably be fixed or adjusted at some-point.
bodies being drained of blood for blood packets and then the body is just thrown down into the pit in order to be turned into meat slurry. Soylent green
The AI needs so much work. I don't know if the devs have enough talent to execute on how good the AI is going to need to be to make this game reach its full potential. I think anybody who can see the vision of what this game can be understands that it has the potential to be a groundbreaking game that defines a new genre. Those same people should also understand how obscenely difficult it's going to be to realize that vision. I'm rooting for the devs but I'm not holding my breath
The AI is the very bedrock of the game, surely. I don't see you building an early access AI, then building a separate system to replace it. It feels like a pre-early access element. I really do feel you are right to be concerned that it won't improve.
I think there should be two progression systems, player and base. The water should be tied to level of base. If you don't bring water to your base degrades. People leave. You don't loose your character stuff, and maybe not the physical base upgrades. You loose people. Vendors, reputation and other things. The more developed the base is the more water it costs. I could see that. With out a base leader, people leave/drift off, factions forget who you are.
@@HewroPreez That's retarded. Whoever goes out and grabs stuff for people in a hellscape and comes back are always going to be "the hero". Don't just rob the warring factions, rob regular people and their hideouts, take what you need from them, even if it costs their lives.
This game looks sick, However I really wish there was strictly a FPS mode..... maybe they can add it in easily since its able to obviously happen when aiming.
If Square Enix or Sony would have spent 200 Million in something like this as a Front Mission SpinOff type game, they would have gotten rich, instead they waste their money and indie devs struggle to catch up. But eventually they will, fingers crossed
A character I first laid eyes on when seeing the games characters is the shaman, I think their skills will fit my play style, either that or the Mask man although I will probably take scav girl for the runs against the zombie cyborgs. They’re the Eurasians right?
So I play a lot of mask man. He is more a group niche character. He can fill sniper, explosive, or assault in groups. I do like him for the versatility, but shaman is probably the best with speed/loot carried. Scav girl is fast, but is limited on weight.
Damn, I need to start using that Tac Cam. Also, what upgrade lets you know what type of enemy you are seeing when you tag them? Would be really useful until I learn them all.
I'm a bit disappointed that mowing squads down even as a solo is pretty easy. I was hoping for more stealth being mandatory. With that said, nice gameplay video!
Thanks! I think the biggest sin is how effective our weapons are. I'm suprised we aren't homebrewing up firearms down in the sewers (and are so ineffective they're very last resort esque).
@@killpo_1 Yeap. Could make collecting the parts play a more important role. Like, assemble guns almost from scratch. Current tuning system already supports it.
It's literally not though, you start off really weak; and vulnerable. The goal is to scavenge, survive, and upgrade until you can get strong enough to come out of hiding
I don't get the Merkava tank either, I'm hoping its just a stand in for that super heavy tank in the cinematic trailer with the two guns on the turret like UC Gundam.
Did you know if you take a destroyed gun out of a raid then bring it in with you on you're next raid when u exfil it has a high chance of fixing itself and then you can use it yourself
Shaman can use better rigs without the skill upgrades. That's the reason why I switched from Scav girl to Shaman today. / Edit: Switched back to Scav Girl a day later. Missed her cyninism.
You seem pretty far in, are there the only 6 vendors and do quests just keep on repeating? The game is great but if quests don't progress to anything then RIP

1:28:21 - Answering a question "The Technician" which you also were commenting about PC specs: My dude, you have the equivalent of an Intel CoreI7 there. I have an IntelCore I5 here (which would be the Ryzen5) and it loads. IT JUST RUNS normally. Yeah, all quality settings are low, but you can play the "relatively" fine. The only times I felt a huge FPS drop (lag) were during the first steps when entering a new map, as a result of loading textures, corridors and applying shaders. Once everything was in place, I never had fps drops / lags on those maps (PS: Elephant Mausoleum Pipes was a specially hard freeze for me to load, as it took a good 2 minutes for me to get ahold of the character again).

Still a lot of balance needed.

Just point at the enemy and press the "Z" key, it's a basic targeting function.

this map it seems pretty easy but go to the scorched map, all out war and try to shoot willy nilly you will be overwhelmed in seconds
It’s more that this map has good choke points. A lot of the others will get you wiped if not careful

Is there any benefit to running as a squad? I feel that with the stealth emphasis, solo would be the way to go.
Once you get good gunz and rigs you can camp tight chokepoints and w+m1 your way through pretty much everything that isn't mechadoggo.
