Thank you so much Frank the tank!!! Directions in the booklet are sketchy but your video showed me I did same thing. Now it’s moving around the bottom like a champ!
Bro! All the reviews on Amazon are full of people who said this vacuum doesn’t work! It’s cause they have it connected to the wrong end of the pump! Vacuums usually suck, so I get why they’re confused but your video helped me a lot bro.
Great video! I bought this for $50 on Amazon and had to learn a few things that were not in the instruction sheet. I use it on a Bestway 18X16 oval pool with an upgraded INTEX 2500GPH Clear FLow filter pump and an INTEXT surface skimmer. May I offer a few pointers? 1. You don't have to remove any air pockets from the hoses since it uses positive induction (water blowing out from the pump return (A). My manual hand held-on-a-pole vacuum connects to either intakes (B) and it needs to be bled of air for it to work well. This one doesn't. 2. You gotta make sure that there is nothing on the bottom of the pool that could stop it from freely rolling about. I dropped a pool cover clip and it got stuck trying to roll over it. 3. If you use a non-sand filter pump you really want to bleed the air from the pump to ensure that they outflow operates at full pressure. 4. When you use it drop the vacuum as far as possible from the out take to ensure that it cleans as much of the pool as possible. 5. If you are using in a BESTWAY pool do not use the filter insert that comes with the out-take adapter. It doesn't fit. If you try the hose will fly off or the water pressure will not be enough to activate the vacuum. Remove this inner filter (you wont need it as the water exiting the pump is already filtered). Once removed the adapter/coupler fits tightly and the vacuum works. If you have two intakes, open both unless you are also using a surface skimmer. 6. Never try to lift the vacuum out of the pool by pulling on the hose. Its not strong enough and could rupture the hosing. 7. When installing the hose onto the outake (return to pool A) do not connect the hose before you screw in the coupler/adapter and make sure that the pump is off. 8. Clean the vacuum's filter after each use and remove from pool. Don't leave it there for days. 9. Although you are warned that it doesn't clean Algae, I've learned that it actually does an awesome job at cleaning it once you've shocked the pool to kill the bloom. 10. Enjoy, I've never regretted purchasing this product.
You said $57 dollars! I seen that price about the time you released this video. I wish I would of bought one then. Just ordered one yesterday. The cheapest I found was $109.
I ordered the intex 1200 gph(4500 l/hr) krystal clear pump with the plan to order the Intex auto pool cleaner later on but saw that the auto pool cleaner requires a 1600 GPH and bigger, will the 1200gph be strong enough ?
Quick question for you. Did you backwash your sand filter before running the vacuum? That’s what the instructions say to do so I’m just curious whether I can skip that part. Great job on the video!
Question...I have an bestway pool and this vacuum. It won't hook up right. Any idea which adapter I need? The plate on the inside wall is too big for the vacuum hose so it won't attach. Help!
I have this same question. Can’t figure out how to remove the nozzle portion to reveal the threaded part. If that can even happen. Do I need to buy a different piece?
You need to place a cap on the inside of the water so it will not leak when you remove the holes, if you don't have a cap used something that can fit and hot water back.
I have had my Intex Auto Pool Cleaner for about 4 months and the hose keeps tearing on the pool cleaner side. It tears right where the hose comes out of the plastic piece that screws into the pool cleaner. Have to pull out and rethread into the plastic piece that screws into the cleaner. Any ideas on why it's doing this?
Frank I think your video is awesome! We must have assembled ours the same day but I would have loved to be able to watch your video. Our filter worked well at first but it isn’t working now. Not enough pressure. I took the filter apart and found some of the sand was a little gunky. Could that be it? Then we stripped the screw trying to return the clamp to the filter. Any idea where to buy parts for Intex?
Are you sure that valve came with the vacuum, because I didnt see you pull it out of the box and I just ordered the vac and it didnt come in my box either
I don't think that it will work well with your filter pump being so far under the recommended specification. It'll probably roll around for a few minutes and stop.
I'm getting diffrent results from diffrent people some are compatible and some aren't, some people had to modify the hole to fit, not sure on your model might want to see the online manual.
i SEE YOU HAVE NOT GIVEN AN ANSWER ON HOW YOU TAKE OFF THE INSIDE CAP TO PUT THE PUMP CAP ON FOR THE CLEANER. MINE IS SUBMERGED AND I CAN'T GET IT OFF WITHOUT WATER GOING EVERYWHERE AS THE WATER LEVEL IS ABOVE THAT INTERIOR CAP. SORRY FOR THE CAPS....
The pool is about 9X14 and the Index been working well the only thing I suggest is replacing the net that it has internal this might get damage in time.
@@Upgradetech great & ty, next year,, I am planning on buying a rectangular pool so that I can be able to actually be able to get some exercise by being able to actually swim lol , I can't do swim laps In our pool that we have right now which is a intex 16'×48 ultra frame poo
I just bought a pool with the 1200gph sand filter that you showed in your filter upgrade video. I've been looking at the Intex pool cleaner but it says that the minimum water pressure needed is 1600gph - i.e. the next model up. is it really working OK from the 1200gph filter pump?
I love the video and it has helped me but I do have a question and I maybe doing something wrong. When I go to pull the vacuum out of the pool it drains out some of the debris that was just vacuumed. Is there a trick to getting out of pool ?
I'm confused with product?. It connects to the outlet that shoots the already filtered water. When the vacuum runs does it shoot out the filtered water from the bottom? Or do we vacuum .. Then remove it and keep the water pump running to shoot out the filtered water?
I was also, but it connect through the filter water this system use the jet out water to suck water in through the bottom and to propel it self throught the ground the tech behind is amazing
Did you have any problems with cats?? A neighbour demanding us to cover our intex pool all the time when not in use because of her cat going to our property... if i will buy this vacuum i can't clean and close the pool at the same time right? 🤣
I have the exact same setup from pool to sand filter to skimmer and cleaner! This was the PERFECT tutorial. Thanks for making!

I wish I'd seen this video when you uploaded it. They're over $105 now. Might still get one. Thanks for sharing.
They are really good as long as you have the pressure
@@Upgradetech Thanks. I just ordered one. Ordered a new 2500 gpm pump and filter to go with it after reading some comments here.

same here. My adapter keeps popping off the outtake. It works great other than that.

Hi Dear, I got same intex auto skimmer, but noway to connect to poor, where I can find the adapter connect between pool and skimmer ?
You can find it only on Amazon I've tried the hardware store but some products are reasonable only
Anyone else use this on a pool that’s NOT intex. Wondering because the eye connection for a regular pool doesn’t fit the cleaner attachment

Yes that is is the only way the cleaner works or another pump to circulate the water.
I have mine set on filter like I normally would.
im having problems trying to connect the hose to "A" outlet. please help
You might have to purchase an adapter or make a trip to your hardware store to look at the plumbing area for a adapter to fit the connection
What pump are you running ?
The index sand filter on my reciew.
Upgrade yes but how much GPH ?
Does it hook up to intake or outtakes
The return jet into the pool..NOT the suction side.
Do I put the filter on filter or backwash
Did you see the video for the install, you have to backwash before you setup on filter to clean the sand and gain some presure.
I'm confused with product?. It connects to the outlet that shoots the already filtered water. When the vacuum runs does it shoot out the filtered water from the bottom? Or do we vacuum .. Then remove it and keep the water pump running to shoot out the filtered water?
