The scenery is just gorgeous, and the deserts' morning mist is almost unexpected! I can see why you scurried out to capture it on video. There's something so magical and serene watching it. Thank you for posting and sharing...love it!
I looked for you two at the grocery store again. 😊 I think I heard those explosions that you talked about. They rocked my trailer. Somebody down in Gunsight Wash called the Sheriffs to check things out.
We heard a lot of explosions since and even see the flashes at night, but the one that day was something else! I think we're at the store about every day, or so it seems.
Great video Rick and Linda! The sounds you heard was a 1/2 ton meteor that landed in southern Texas near McAllen. Sonic booms were heard for hundreds of miles. On a lighter note, those misty mornings in the desert and the sunny palm tree lined streets sure brighten up our gray winter moods. Thanks for all you both do for all your viewers! Instant thumbs up when I see a Gonagin post!👍🫶🏻
My wife and I skipped Ajo this year. Last year we spent the day in Organ Pipe National Monument and we promised ourselves we would be back. Your videos made it even more imperative that we make the time. Its a beautiful area. My father was stationed at Larson AFB in Ephrata before it moved to Moses Lake. We lived in Moses Lake after Larson was given to JAL for training pilots on 747's. Our 6th grade field trip was a flight on a 747. Haven't liked flying very much ever since.
I haven't come across very many people who are familiar with the Moses Lake area or who would remember Larson AFB. Even though I was one of the farm kids, we went to the elementary school on base. Thanks for your comment!
@@gonagain oh, Moses Lake has changed, a lot! Wife and I went back last Spring to visit my mother in Ephrata. Chicos pizza was still there, but it didn't taste as good as I remembered. The field we used to play in and dig holes and make forts, is now Home Depot. I could find my way to Knolls Vista Elementary, but it was much smaller than I remembered. Made me laugh
Absolutely beautiful out there , wouldn't be to hard to handle that view off a front porch with a cup of jo on an early morning!!!!! Thanks for giving us a tour .
Thankyou for the beautiful tour. I'm in Michigan. We had a very dreary winter. Have some sunshine now. Needed to see your videos of Arizona. Stay at it you two.
Great video! It seems like a slice of pie and a cup of coffee is the ultimate reward after a hard day of exploring! Growing up in Michigan, we always had access to wild huckleberrys, my favorite pie!!
:) LOL Your SMILE to 'store' a PIE is PRICELESS :) Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!! THANKS MUCH for sharing! Will TRAVEL FOR PIE! :) All the BEST and Cheers, ENJOY! :)
Ajo went on my list last time you were there, it looks to be a stunning area. hopefully next winter. Be careful Rick, you might get a reputation about this pie thing. Thank you for sharing your travels
Drove through that community center yesterday. Stayed at Gunsight BLM last night. Heading to Cactus monument now, Tombstone later. Amazed that pie made it out of your fridge safely. Take care.
i'm trying to get Wil to make another one. Have fun out that way and here's a tip: When you go to Tombstone, remember it's about the history and the existing buildings. That way the commercialism won't bother you as much. See you later. Jeff!
Every time you visit Ajo I kick myself in the rear end because I’ve lived in Tucson for 35 years and I have never been to Ajo!! Thanks for sharing and I definitely will make a trip to Ajo!
Wow that area looks so beautiful! Gotta put that on my list. I’ve never been that far south. Looks like you and Linda are having a wonderful winter! Cheers!😊
Ajo looks like a great place for some boondocking...Looked into it a little bit and there seems to be alot of it all around the area...Thanks for the preview of the place, its now on our list of places to check out LOL....Hope you enjoyed your pie guys....Am surprised as heck you folks dont have you a little traveling fur baby with you as it seems it would be a natural fit...Anywho, travel safe, be well , looking forward to the next video....
Thanks for the memories. We have been in that very area in past years and really enjoyed it. I had to stop the video and tell my husband what you were commenting on at the time and then you would go a little further and I have to stop it again to tell him what you were seeing. We were blessed to be able to stay down there for a month. Are you seeing a lot of boondockers in that area? We also had a visit from a couple of men (one year) that were traveling through the dessert and asking for water and food. I don't know if they had crossed the boarder or what. We were glad to give them what they requested but they came back for more. We got a little concerned after that. Be sure and seek out the Organ Pipe National Park down towards the border more. It is well worth the time!! Thanks again for jogging our memories :) Liz and David
Thanks Liz. We visited the wall just south of here yesterday and it's a real eye opener with the amount of constant activity there. The area is getting more popular with boondockers like ourselves, but there's a lot of room!
You captured the mist perfectly. Too bad there is no such thing as smell-a-tube so folks can smell the desert after a rainstorm. This was a very relaxing video. Now I feel like a nap.

Good idea, TM. We've been along parts of it, but there's a lot more to see. I'd like to suggest the original starting point, which is a barn in St. Josepth, Missouri that is still standing and is now a museum dedicated to the Pony Express.
You guys make a great couple 💑 I think having someone to share the adventure with is priceless. I tried finding a woman who liked doing this but no luck. Have fun 😊, Mike
I'm not really a fan of the desert but since it is forecast to be zero again this week at my house I could probably put up with the desert for a few weeks, 😀
I took the recipe for the pie, and wiggled it a bit. I used jello cheesecake mix, heavy cream, and, some Ghiradeli dark chocolate powder. (This chocolate powder with a bit of stevia makes the very best hot chocolate!!! ymmm) Anyway, the pie mix sets up very quickly. Very yummy pie! I am going to keep the jello cheesecake and some heavy cream with me. And try to find some thin wafer cookies. Will not need a pie crust that way. Great recipe and tastes so good! The night of the rainstorm were in Buckeye AZ visiting friends, that storm dropped grape sized hail on us there. Next day we visited the Painted Rocks Petroglyph Site which was interesting. Not far from your current location. A couple days earlier we visited Taliesin West where Frank Lloyd Wright lived and worked with students. Beautiful. Big Wind coming this week, worst wind event we have seen here if it materializes with the 45 MPH gusts, stay safe.
Thanks for the heads up on the winds. After sitting through the last round of 50mph gusts, it seems like it's a normal day here. We'll keep an eye on the weather. So far not much forecasted for this area.

HI Gary. I just raised the handlebars on the cruiser but didn't replace them, I like the handlebars that it came with. I lengthened the front hydraulic brake line to make it work with the raised handlebars.
Hello Mona, nice to hear from you. We have to be careful when picking things up of the ground because of the scorpions. The only problem with the rats is keeping them out of the cars engine and I use simple Harbor Freight solar rechargeable rope lights under the hood to discourage them.

The fun is in the exploring and our videos are about encouraging others to get out and do the same. We only give out general areas, because giving out exact locations in the past has led to those spots being ruined by less conscientious individuals.
Hello you Desert Troopers, Good to see ya still in the South Having Fun. We got worried about not seeing your regular posts, but since you are on the road, it's understandable. I Hope, you get that 85° Temps or Higher before you head North. Rick, the area you and Linda are in, is a former Playground for some of us who have lived in AZ. Such a Total Wonderment as you know, especially that Morning Haze. Purple Haze?? Funny!! Love the Video and Glad to know All is Well. God Bless Always. Vincenzo & the Girls. 👊
This area is as amazing as you say! Last night it literally poured down rain and the wind, which is still howling as I write, is gusting 55. But it was still so beautiful out this morning! We're posting on Sundays now to try to get the YT algorithm to recognize us better. We'll see if it helps or not.
@@gonagain Wow, and Wow Again. Lots Happening weather wise is an Understatement. Geeze, What's Going On Around Here????? Everybody is Flipping Out and it's Still Coming. It Snowed again last night here, and the wind was So Powerful it kept me & the girls up all night long. Everything on the porch and in the back, are Gone, gone where, I don't know. That Strong.------So obviously I'm hoping Y'all have Safe Harbor somewhere down in Southern Arizona??? Desert for 3-4 months?????? Forget Montana for a spell, and you'll Never Regret It. Sound Good???? Think about it, it's a Fantastic idea. I'm going to be doing the Exact Same Thing, starting May. Let us know what Ya Think about this Wonderful Concept. 🤗🌞 Rick, Linda, you Both Need a Break. 👊
Rick, I don't spend much time watching your video's when your riding your bike! It's no fun watching the Road fly by and bushes And there is not much more to see when your Flying by and Linda's not there so there is not much conversation! So, I have found myself just not tuning in when your video is on your bike! Sorry! No interest For me!
Very nice, thank you. Just recently I watched a RUclipsr explore the Devils Highway but can't remember who it was off the top of my head. When I find it I'll share it with you, I think you will like it. BTW, I have my eye on that ebike, best one for me I've seen yet. Thanks again.
Rick, Linda, You hit the road south this year after sacrificing All of last year due to the Lovely Gas Prices, and Rolled In & Hit the most Active Wet and Windy (our favorite)Season in ten years. And Don't even try to go north till this Blows Over. (Ya right, More Wind) In the meantime just think that it HAS to get better, and it Will. A Thought 💡 just hit me, no Not☕ or 🥧 although that's a good idea, but How About You and Linda move to Arizona for Springtime into Summer, by renting a Bungalow in a special location of your choice And Soak Up the Sun, Get & Stay Warm, and Explore the Az. 👊
😃
I carry two phones n leave one with my gear so I can call the phone to find my gear if I hide it to good.
Laughing about you losing your bike.
I've been lost more in the desert than I ever have in the forest.
Everything looks the same!
You've got that right!
50/50=PI*R squared=3.14 pieces of pie, but PI*R round not square! How was that for math. thank you ALL stay safe 😁
Hey, no one said math was gonna be involved, haha. Thanks for watching, see you on the next one!
Why are wandering alone in a secluded dessert. You should do things with someone always .
Rick, I don't spend much time watching your video's when your riding your bike!
It's no fun watching the
Road fly by and bushes
And there is not much more to see when your
Flying by and Linda's not there so there is not much conversation!
So, I have found myself just not tuning in when your video is on your bike! Sorry! No interest
For me!
That's okay, we'll see you on the next one!
Very nice, thank you. Just recently I watched a RUclipsr explore the Devils Highway but can't remember who it was off the top of my head. When I find it I'll share it with you, I think you will like it. BTW, I have my eye on that ebike, best one for me I've seen yet. Thanks again. That RUclipsr that explored the Devils Highway is "SUV RVing"
Hello, Julio! I like this bike the best so far and have put over a hundred trail miles on it. i think I know the video you are talking about and I haven't watched it yet, it's by SUV RVing.
