I would have never guessed in a million years that intro was gonna turn into the crowing! This is one of the best songs they ever wrote from probably the best album they ever wrote.
Don’t know what they played for this show, but it sounded like an extension of “The Final Cut” and then a quick snippet of “Delirium Trigger” before they got into it
@@anthonyjones3835 Not The Final Cut, but they do the opening 3~4 notes of Delirium Trigger multiple times, then right before they start The Crowing they do the first 12 notes of DT. That's the joke
You may not like their flavor of rock, but you can't deny that Coheed and Cambria raised up to give the new generation of rockers some f*cking hope. when it's their original formation playing together, the show is so unassuming and grandiose at the same time, you barely have time to realize what just hit you. they're a wall of sound, much like the Smashing Pumpkins were in the 90's. it's good to have these guys around.
Overture 1928 100% agreed. I didn't really know what to think about SSTB other than the intro my first listen. Same with Ascension and Good Apollo pt 2 now. I highly recommend for the first few listens to of all Coheeds albums to use quality headphones and as loud as is comfortable.
This fucking band inspired me to pick up the guitar again at 14 years old that I had played for a month and set down. Good Apollo 1 changed my damn life. As a 14 year old kid who was raised on Zeppelin, Purple and The Beatles. Coheed gave me everything I never even knew I needed. Started just before Good Apollo I was released an I've never looked back.
💯 I was 13 when Second Stage Turbine Blade came out. First song I heard was Devil in Jersey City. I hated it. Then my cousin told me to listen again. So I did, and then I listened some more. Then listened to the rest of the album. It was so crazy to be listening to something that NOBODY my age was listening to. Nobody in school knew wtf this crazy sound was. Coheed led me to old rock and metal. Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath, and many others. I first started saying, “WOAH I thought this Iron Maiden stuff was just something that old dudes listened to while they worked at construction sites, but they kinda sound like Coheed!” Then I realized that it was Coheed who in fact sounded like THEM! Coheed opened up my understanding of classic and modern rock.
Coheed is one of my favorite live bands. They aren't the cleanest band, but they have so much emotion and good vibes. However, Slipknot is the best I've seen. Unbelievable through and through. Now we need a Coheed and Slipknot tour. Best of everything.
+1_amongthefence 22 (Sirena) In short, for the murders of those I court, I bless the hour that brings me awesome Fence-sitters. Now, where are your Coheed covers, young lady? That's a very nice cover of 3 Libras you did there.
I love how not only does claud troll the crowd with the intro to delirium trigger, but he doesn't even smile about it, his face is just "Yeah, I trolled you, deal with it bitches" :')
A coheed is just so dynamic, its energy levels never stop. A song can start one way and just end Gregorian chants, a dope guitar riff, a slap bass solo, power chords, screams, its just all over the place and I love it. The truly are playing a form of jazz.
God, Claudio looks to be about 10 years younger! Everything is so tight, and they're nailing their studio guitar tones with the axe fx's. Almost wish it was a little more raw..but I'm not complaining!
It’s insane to go back and rewatch this again after seeing it so many times; and think back to the fact this was right after A:D dropped and they were basically out doing their thing with Zach stepping in and Josh coming back, and to just know that so much was to come from this line up. Love it!
I don't like all of their stuff... but this song has SO MANY HOOKS it's kinda crazy! Most bands rely on just one hook but in here practically every section has a hook! It blows my mind!
Claudio's playing in the little jams has become so fluid and beautiful over the years. It's really exciting to hear them improv jam. I want another Final Cut type song in the future.
Is anyone else partially creeped out from 8:14 with that smile singing "I will kill you all." Gave me the chills! It was awesome to watch them do the same jam thing at LA and SD because I was super stoked to hear Delirium but bam! Into The Crowing.
I fed the clues of a lost day killed in motion But I thought of it so like there's no other way it could've been done Will they size my fit for a puzzle I wish not to play a part in it A heart stained in hate a feeling I fear will play circles But you, you were my favorite But you, you know, you were my favorite I severed my ties to shroud this body under the streets of this city And wait for the day when I am summoned to walk across this face Well slowly but clearer now in visions that play and plague memories I love them with all (heart) as a son should to mother and father But you, you were my favorite But you, you know, you were my favorite Would I walk through the door? Yes,me too. Great persuading of intro.

@@FurtherProof I know lol I said no it wasn't to the other dude
Josh's drumming on this song is so exceptional but he never gets any attention! Dude is absolutely ripping on this one
He carries the new album
The drums on those old albums especially just bring something out in me. Truly a great drummer.

I heard welcome home first. And kept going back to it.
Eh iunno why i keep listening.
Ok its better than I thought
WOW I LOVE THESE GUYS

I'm pretty sure most people here enjoy their flavor of rock lol
7:33 will always be one of the greatest “drops” in the genre. A progressive rock masterpiece.
2023 and im still watching this.. Co&Ca !!
this was insanely epic. wow nothing beats live coheed. nothing
+Jordan Sanchez and than living there and giving you guitar lessons and letting you join the band
yuppp!
And Claudio giving us the secret to growing his hair :D.
Coheed is one of my favorite live bands. They aren't the cleanest band, but they have so much emotion and good vibes. However, Slipknot is the best I've seen. Unbelievable through and through. Now we need a Coheed and Slipknot tour. Best of everything.
They were scheduled to play in OKC in April of 2020, it would’ve been the first time I’d ever seen them live 😭
The intro is probably one of the main reasons why I love coheed and cambria as well as epic solos
Seeing them for the 5th time in less than a month. Most ferocious live band on the planet.
Ever heard of The Mars Volta?
@@lex_C_88 insane shows , saw them through 2004-10
I've waiting 10 years to see Coheed and I finally get to go to a concert tomorrow night. I don't think I'll sleep tonight.
Not one wrong note. Absolutely amazing.
It’s insane that this band isn’t massive,
The talent undeniable. Why?
Best band of all time.
yes!!! agree 100%
+1_amongthefence 22 (Sirena) In short, for the murders of those I court, I bless the hour that brings me awesome Fence-sitters. Now, where are your Coheed covers, young lady? That's a very nice cover of 3 Libras you did there.
This is the best Coheed song.
Ah the old Delirium Crowing Switcharoo, fooled again by Claudio!
😂 LoL. Only ones whom drink the serum are capable of doing such a thing!
Too sick
I love how not only does claud troll the crowd with the intro to delirium trigger, but he doesn't even smile about it, his face is just "Yeah, I trolled you, deal with it bitches" :')
I had the privilege of seeing them in OKC after being a fan for many years and they did not disappoint. Easily my favorite band of all time
A coheed is just so dynamic, its energy levels never stop. A song can start one way and just end Gregorian chants, a dope guitar riff, a slap bass solo, power chords, screams, its just all over the place and I love it. The truly are playing a form of jazz.
I know this is an old comment now, but which song ends in a slap bass solo? I can't think of it, and I'd be very interested to hear it
This show in Sydney is hands down, their best show to date
"Dear Ambellina, the Prise wishes you to watch over me!"
I still get goosebumps
Saw them open for Jackyl in Cincy. I can't remember the venue name but it was a small place. They rocked that roof off. Great night.
Claudio seems so calm during the opening, knowing their about to rock the house. The band is so well polished at this point.
5:22 was absolutely the most beautiful thing I've ever heard in my life. Props Claudio
This band is Led Zep, Iron Maiden, and Pink Floyd combined but new age. Incredible shit.
And rush
Don’t forget, they also have the “yes”, Rush”, and “super tramp” vibe. Music is the best!
I just love music and people who want to make it!
Def rush more than any other band
It's weird I don't like any of those bands but I love Cambria
2:18 claudio you dirty, dirty tease
this comment should be at the top!
True
just the tip
What song is that?
Adam G. Delirium Trigger of their debut album Second Stage Turbine Blade. Also my fav song of theirs :D
These guys just had my full attention for 9 straight minutes. Unreal performance.
The best band in the whole universe! Co & Ca, Claudio #1
Definitely my favorite band! These guys are the best!
One of their best songs. One of the best prog songs ever. Love live Co&Ca
That ad really killed it for me.. Damn.
Their sound is like no other
Josh rejoined Coheed over a decade ago... he's so much like family it's hard to fathom.
"You were my faveee-wrat"
Absolutely love this song and that solo intro, can't stop coming back to it 🤘
Heck yea!!!!!!!🎉🎶🎵🎶🎵
Woah! This is my favorite Coheed song! This video made me cry. I’m so happy I found this!
i met claudio, such a nice guy. seen this band live several times and its amazing each time. love this band
There's a reason why this video has no thumbs downs, it's freakin awesome.
Cause Susan took them away
My favorite live version of my favorite song of all time! Love the little Delirium Trigger teaser in there too!
The tone on Travis' guitar is so good
18 people don't seem to know what great music sounds like!
Could be one of the best Crowing performances, his voice is crispy in this show
God, Claudio looks to be about 10 years younger! Everything is so tight, and they're nailing their studio guitar tones with the axe fx's. Almost wish it was a little more raw..but I'm not complaining!
He sure looks about 10 years younger these days
i get CHILLS man every time this song starts
so do we!
Oh I see how it is Claudio. I thought this was Delirium Trigger for two minutes dammit.
Woah! Reddit sent me here, glad it did!
They are on EXCELLENT form!
This is sooooo good to see. Maaaan what a band.
Damn they are amazing, so amazing. The improv is such a welcomed aspect to their live performance.
Zach's basslines on the last 2 albums are fantastic. He is definitely no slouch, and a worthy successor to Mic.
When the drums hit double time in the second verse, and when the palm muting hits right before the outro are fucking top tier songwriting.
Ha! it sure is! Thanks for watching the videos!
before the delirium trigger fakeout it sounds sort of like the solo in the final cut
This is my fave Coheed song, it rules so much.
Man this was a surgical performance. They killed it here
Amazing as always. I never miss a show when they come around. My favorite band across the board..
It’s insane to go back and rewatch this again after seeing it so many times; and think back to the fact this was right after A:D dropped and they were basically out doing their thing with Zach stepping in and Josh coming back, and to just know that so much was to come from this line up. Love it!
is Claudio from an Alternate Dimension at all? I mean with the stories he writes and his attitude while playing them reflect in a personal way :p
I don't like all of their stuff... but this song has SO MANY HOOKS it's kinda crazy! Most bands rely on just one hook but in here practically every section has a hook! It blows my mind!
Amazing! I love this Song!
Pound-for-pound Coheed might be the greatest band ever. 😉
Ohh man. Delirium Trigger tease then jumps into the crowing. hahaha NICE
This was posted on my birthday! What a great present!
Claudio's playing in the little jams has become so fluid and beautiful over the years. It's really exciting to hear them improv jam. I want another Final Cut type song in the future.
Still waiting for this also(seven years into the future)
They all seem so much happier and try harder live now. So happy. Josh > Pennie for this band. Pennie is god though.
Losing Michael Todd on Bass was their biggest loss and haven't seem the same since he left the band.
Big Chungus Man, Zack is a much better fit than Mic was.
Pennie in Dillinger escape plan is some of the most godly performances on the sticks I’ve ever heard
Saw them in Gothenburg this june, Was the best performance i've ever seen.
How the holy heck does this only have 3.4k?
Is anyone else partially creeped out from 8:14 with that smile singing "I will kill you all."
Gave me the chills! It was awesome to watch them do the same jam thing at LA and SD because I was super stoked to hear Delirium but bam! Into The Crowing.

But you, you were my favorite
But you, you know, you were my favorite
I severed my ties to shroud this body under the streets of this city
And wait for the day when I am summoned to walk across this face
Well slowly but clearer now in visions that play and plague memories
I love them with all (heart) as a son should to mother and father
But you, you were my favorite

Claudio is a damn fine guitarist
2024?
Love Travis' guitar sound from the intro-jam :)
that slow tempo, I dont think to fix with coheed, I like the coheed energy in the beginings...I need it!
I love Coheed and Cambria with my heart and soul.
When Claud shrugs and says “I will kill you aaalllllll” 😍😍
Fucking majestic as always. You guys are the soundtrack to my life.
👍👍👍👍👍
Coheed for me in a Nutshell
Pretty much...haha!
Best intro ever.
travis singing harmony with his guitar part lol
I hope you enjoy that experience sir! You will have an amazing time :)
dang. that really is the best adjective to describe them! good call!
i bless the hour that holds your fall
Claudio's murderous riffs in full effect here, love it.
God i love this band so much
That Intro, my fucking god!
lol the Delerium Trigger fake out
that was amazing
Omnibus Prime that's what that first part is, thank you
Still rockin to this in 2020
they murdered this song in Pittsburgh March 1 2016. They really kill it live.
I need this on their setlist again. k thx.
Favorite song by them its so majestic
Claudio and the boys have been amazing me for damn near 20 years now. Fucking incredible band that is way underrated. Just listen to the album version of The Final Cut and tell me that doesn't make you shit yourself.
Just. So. EPIC.
I know! Could they possibly kick ass any more than they already do? Probably not!
Beautiful !
THIS. IS. COHEED.
Best coheed song for drums!
Did anyone else notice the mewithoutYou tattoo on Claudio's arm at around 1:03? That made me exceedingly happy.
As do we!
Sooo good my fave band rn and prob of all time
Saw them open for
Megadeth and also tool/primus. Amazing and their sound guy is fantastic
I was at the Halloween tool primus coheed show too. Great time.
They never show enough of Josh in these shows
