Well you are arguably getting a bit more with the Smart 5 than the Pro 3, so if the same price I would likely get that. There's not a huge deal of difference between them. They do feel a bit different in the hand though.
I just ordered pro 3 but I've never had an electric toothbrush and I'm worried that the handle will be too slippery in my hands? Have tou noticed it or is it okay for you?
Unless you suffer with problems gripping items, it should be ok. It can be a bit slippy if you get the handle very wet, but usually its not really a problem.

You don't need such premium electric toothbrushes. A more basic model such are the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 will work just fine with braces. That said, if you want the best of the best then these products are up there.
No confirmed date for their release yet. I suspect they will be on sale within the next couple of months. If you are in the market for a new toothbrush now, I would go for the iO6. There isn't a huge difference between these models.

The rubber grip on the 4000 does comes off after some year of usage. 3000 is definitely the recommendation!
