These guys are one of the most political commanders in the game. It's like the inverse of group hug. Everyone knows you got a railgun, everyone knows when you got it loaded, now we gotta see who gets thrown under the bus first and if they can kill you before you shoot twice. It invokes madness and I love it. Gotta make sure you don't blast the first dude instantly though, nobody wants to be that dude that gets taken out in the first 5 minutes of a multi hour long game.

Very cool! I've got a casual modular build that I've been enjoying. Our decks have some overlap. I forgot about Azra Oddsmaker here-great call! And another card to consider: Chains of Mephistopheles! Anti-wheel tech and it helps you discard and mill.
Oh Chains is actually great. But I have a lot of card draw spells in the deck like wild guess and more. I think I will skip the Chains. But I can 100% see why you would put it in the deck.
I was thinking that you can also run a lot of Hatebears to reanimate. Give someone a Magus of the Moon or Collector Ouphe on their upkeep so they can't combo off, things like that. Seems better than helping someone else respond, IMO.
I've been brewing a bullies deck, and found some cool things you can do. Rift sweeper gets your stuff back on etb, homeward path for the soulgorger orgg will mean you gain the life instead of the opponent, homeward path and a sac outlet like phyrexian tower to always get any creature back, even the worldgorger dragon in response to the first ability, etc. The deck does some really weird, but really cool stuff
Soulgorger interaction doesn't work they way you described unfortunately. The player who lost the life from the soulgorger etb will gain the life back, regardless of who controls it when it dies.
@@andyshebuski3730 are you sure? The oracle text specifically says "YOU gain life equal to the amount lost". And even if it doesn't work that way, just steal it back with homeward path, and sac it in response to the first ability, just like with worldgorger
@@quentonmcclure8233 the oracle test states "you gain life equal to the life you lost". Which would be 0 in this instance as your opponent lost the life form the etb trigger, not you. I wish it worked too.
Having a sac outlet would let you recur leveler. Give it to opponent during upkeep, they die on draw and give it back to you, then sac it before goad triggers. Perhaps a new food chain deck?
I would correct you. First you cant give Malfegor to an opponnent cause its legendary. You cast it for yourself. Its a great way to bring your creatures in your graveyard and force the other players to sacrifice permanents.
I've been looking for global effects on creatures you might be able to abuse, Nullstone Gargoyle can act like a janky counterspell with Beamtown Bullies
Im building this for Competitive 2x2 and Two-headed giant commander. Possible to combo turn 1 with jeweled lotus, dark ritual, entomb, simian spirit guide or elvish guide in hand
Mons, your thoughts on homeward oath and using non-immediate wincons? We can inverter away a player, then regain it before they die as a beater for ourselves. Because of the prohibition on spite plays, we will never be stopped.
This is not related to The Beamtown Bullies but I have been looking at Capenna commanders and I think Oskar is really good and don't really see people talking about him. If you have a discard outlet like Ghostly Pilferer he basically just gives all your spells flash, right?
I actually been planing on doing a deck tech for Oskar. He seams awsome. Yes I think it works to btw. Not 100% on the instant speed but I think it works. Currently really late so my brain is kinda ... slow ATM.
your opponent as Thasa's oracle trigger is on the stack, bully him/her by getting Bedlam to give them the its ETB trigger for the 3 draw to deck them out?
Homeward Path to get your bullies back before they get exiled to either destroy them later or just use them as beaters. There is also Despotic Scepter a 1 cost artifact that you can tap to destroy permanents you own to save those bullies from exile.
Unfortunately, the creatures are still exiled in the Homeward Path case. It's not like the sacrifice mechanic where the sacrificer has to control the creature. When an effect instructs you to exile a creature, its controller doesn't matter.
World gorger dragon is kinda weak, but you are playing animate dead, so maybe it is actually good. Goblin Engineer also might be fine, it can get leveler in your graveyard, or it can upgrade a mana rock.
@@jeef16 I agree, it's a weak combo in the deck. It does however have the advantage of serving as something bad to give away, on top of being a combo tool. You can skip a players turn kinda, but they get to abuse abilities and etbs but that might be worth it. Also if you (or someone else helping you) have a piece of creature removal, you can exile someone's board. Tbh I'd have to actually try it to see it it's good or not. The WGD combo wouldn't be your main line, but plan C if everything is going wrong and the game grinds down.
I’m not sure how viable it is since you need to kill opponents 1 at a time which is too slow it seems. Seems like a fun deck but I can’t see it hanging with true cedh decks

Leveler during opponents upkeep
Yeah just leveler before their draw step
You hit on the "NON- legendary" text on the card. Just don't try to put Malfegor into play
The Beamtown Bullies are my current deck project! Two cards I'd recommend are Despotic Scepter are Seedborn Muse
Both cards where suggested. I have them in the sidebord ATM.
Seedborn is too slow. At five mana you wanna win the time not set up an engine
@@speaksincircles Seedborn Muse can win the game in one turn cycle. So don't start with your nonsense

With food chain they go to permanent exile.
You can activate Beamtown Bullies during an opponent's upkeep and they lose immediately on draw phase.
yes. But I think it could be good to have the leveler get an attack sometimes.
Not really. Especially in cedh. Thoracle is way to relevant for that to be a strategy
amazing deck tech. such a cool concept
Inventer of truths is not really just a casual card, it was a powerhouse in pioneer and ruined the format for a while. That is why I know the card.

Very insightful! Thank you for the video. What's the name of the music in the background? Sounds like a video game soundtrack, perhaps?
