    Do you think the acetal version of the Lobo would perform any worse? The Lobo is just too damn expensive for me to justify right now, but the acetal version is $100 which is much more palatable, especially since my plan was to go for a Alphacool LT solo (which is around $75 including the pump)

    thank you. It would be great to see a comparison with classic water blocks like Alphacool Core or HEATKILLER IV/

    Great comparison! Thanks for the effort. Now, it would also be interesting to see the temp differences between the modultra block and the Optimus signature V3

    Do you have any recommendations on 240mm AIO? I’ve been a huge fan of the 360mm Arctic LF2 in my Fractal Torrent but unfortunately none of Arctic’s AIOs fit the A4 H2O I’m looking to build in.
    Is EK my best bet? Are Asetek pumps still garbage? Is the cooler master atmos you reviewed reliable? Sorry for the barrage of questions, but haven’t found anyone talking about it on Reddit and GN hasn’t done a tear down of these.

    Oh boy that Lobo did a clean sweep.
    I always thought that EK monstrosity was bad, but its even worse after this test. I have the Lobo, Aquanaut Extreme and the old Aquanaut and i can comfortably say, that the even at the same performance I'd always go Lobo, just for how its built and finished.
    Another thing not mentioned is that due to whole Lobo unit being metal, the pump runs considerably cooler compared to just relying on convection with acetal blocks.

    Curious to know if you've tried the Barrow cpu+pump+res block? I've heard horror stories about filling it, but you seem to think the EK Velocity was easier to fill than the modultra, so was wondering if the EK was also significantly easier than the Barrow block.

    Originally I planned to downsize from a water cool 011 mini to an NR200. As such I picked up the EK version of this block however, I change my mind and decided to go with a Dan-H2O case. Which ofc the EK Block does not fit so I will be purchasing the version of the block.

    Can you also pop on a d5? Also does the modultra and nouvolu fit any pump? So would a ek ddc 4.2 fit (w heatsink)?

    stupid question, but all of these has a reservoir built in right?

    • @MachinesMore
      @MachinesMore  3 месяца назад +1

      They all have fill points but only the EK has what I would consider a true reservoir, in other words an area where air can freely bleed off into without being sucked back in.

      @@svn5994 I don’t mess with custom loop stuff now but will soon. I’ll definitely look around at other options to get that balanced budget/performance. What is your go to manufacturers svn5994 for water-cooling stuff?
