I've been embroidering for a long time but only just discovered Sarah - she's a very good teacher - close-ups show detail and her verbal explanations are clear and concise. I'm hooked!

This is my third time watching the Holly Blue butterfly video. I'm getting up the nerve to do one of my own for the center of my thread stitch icon journal. And I just like hearing your calming voice and the music is rather nice to listen to while stitching

I would love a video on what makes a project stumpwork and the history of it. Thank you for the tutorial!

@@SarahHomfrayEmbroidery That's fantastic, I've been trying to figure out which parts of designs to make in detached pieces and which to thread paint. It is not as easy as I thought it be.

Never realised how much work went into making just one section of embroidery before ~ I always thought it was just straight forward stitching ~ it’s so not ~ and very very beautiful and interesting!!

What a beautiful butterfly, and your video makes it look achievable for the average stitcher so I ordered the kit after the first few minutes of watching! Will you be making kits for the other butterflies that are shown at the start of the video? Every kit I’ve made of yours has such clear instructions and generous materials. I haven had a failure yet!

This is so beautiful! Is the color worked up differently than the pansy because it's a butterfly or just a different technique?

Such a lovely video! I am just getting started with stump work embroidery and this was super helpful as a first project I can do! Is the stencil of the butterfly made of paper or fabric?
