I loved this episode. Really cool to just break down big signings like this with someone who can explain who they are and it instantly turned me from “oh some CMLL girl got signed” to “oh, it’s that girl Konnan was talking up, let’s see what she’s got!”

These two need to have a podcast or be on each other show on a more frequently my opinion of course just slot good stuff listening to these guys! And it’s great not hearing Disco interrupting him the whole time is so annoying and makes it hard to listen to the show in a whole, so I listen to just the good points that they make out of shorts!
I think WWE is loading up NXT because they're moving to the CW Network. Stephanie, Giulia and possibly Jordynne Grace joining NXT would be insane. The days of it being a "strictly developmental show" seem to be over. Hopefully Ricky Starks can join soon. It's sad to see AEW waste such a talented star.
Konnan will give Tony his props and for a while really did, if you follow him lately he's been more critical because the trends of AEW floundering on potential blue chip talent is more obvious

I know this bc Kairi Sane actually told me this. For talent that English is not their language, when you are in NXT, you are sent to English classes and have a personal English teacher that you see multiple times a week. Also I do believe Stephanie has a small grasp on the language, and its not like she knows nothing. Look, Iyo, Kairi, Asuka etc have done fairly well being booked without knowing fluent English. So I don't think Steph not knowing the language is really gonna hurt her much. Her character work and in ring work will shine plenty. Plus I bet she'll be in NXT for at least a year, so she'll have plenty of time to learn.
It wont be. One thing that HHH really wanted to change when he took over was the booking of the international talent.

All In is in 6 weeks this weekend, and I feel like if you can't get a deal complete before your biggest show of the year, you failed, and you're definitely headed towards procrastination status. Their current deal ends in December. So if a deal isn't complete or announced by all in, I'm done talking about them getting a tv deal done with WBD because then I don't see it happening

The thing about the AEW fan base is that it has gotten smaller, it's not like they've maintained a certain core number, they have lapsed fans who regularly express "I used to like it, now I don't anymore because..." and those people get lumped in as "haters". I bash AEW a lot, and I used to prefer them until 2022

I know Konnan was trying to make a point about CM Punk coming into AEW and he wanted him to wrestle high level stars. The problem with Konnan comments to Eric is that he said one of Punk first feuds was with Lee Moriarty which is completely not true. I believe when folks are speaking they need to be accurate with their facts and not adlib. CM Punk first AEW match was against one of the hottest stars in the company Darby Allin at All Out 2021. He then followed that match wrestling Powerhouse Hobbs, Daniel Garcia, Matt Sydal, Bobby Fish. His first feud and second PPV match was against Eddie Kingston at Full Gear 2021. The fact of the matter he did not have a feud with Lee Moriarty they only wrestled once on AEW Dynamite and never wrestled again. Ironically, after wrestling Moriarty on Dynamite the level of competition was raised when he started feuding with MJF. Punk competed in his first six man tag match teaming with Sting and MJF against Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood, MJF. He would wrestle mid-carders like Max Caster, Dustin Rhodes and John Silver after feuding with MJF, but would roll into World Title program with Hangman Page. Like I said, I wish folks like Konnan would take the time to be correct instead always saying "Who"?
Huge pick up by WWE getting Stephanie Vaquer. Tony had a chance with her & dropped the ball with her. Stephanie, Giulia, potentially Jordynne Grace is going to make Women's Division that much better. Now if MCMG joins the WWE it would give Tag Division a boost. It would be funny as Meltzer & the diet sheets had them going to AEW
Since AEW is not using her,Kamille needs to leavet hat place and re-consider taking up WWE's NXT offer(and having some awesome matches with both NXT and WWE talents along the way).

@@georgekaptur5160 I don't know, with Triple H running things, if there's enough support from talent, and media, I mean ICP was just on Drink Champs, Steve-O's podcast, Tom Segura and his wife's podcast... they've been doing a lot of press lately... podcasts.. .but still, they are in the public eye right now more than I've ever seen. They did Konnan's podcast... they're making rounds, and if enough of those people speak up, I think it could be a pretty big push. I think WWE would kinda just be like, "Eh... why not...?"

Love Konnan but I do wish he and Disco would stop whining that they don't get worshipped for things they did decades ago.
It's funny just how rapidly things can change. Remember when AEW was the place to be? That was just a few years ago, but now Vince is gone from WWE and the shiny newness of AEW is gone too. Everything has shifted back in favor of WWE. It's almost as if AEW was a fad that is now dying off. Hopefully it doesn't last because WWE having no competition is NOT a good thing. When they bought WCW and ECW it was the drizzling shits. Things were a whole lot less interesting and the popularity of pro wrestling slowly started to cool.

If AEW tripled their ratings and every show was sold out again, all of this negative hysteria would vanish instantly. Remember when WWE was the laughing stock of the wrestling world only a few years ago when they were cancelling TV tapings because they couldn't sell 2,000 tickets and had box trucks with WWE wraps circling around AEW venues? People cite CM Punk's departure as AEW's downfall, but where were these supposed fans while he was there; because he never did anything for the ratings aside from his debut; only to attract about 700k a few days later on Dynamite and rarely more after. And people like Bischoff were trashing Punk and calling for Khan to fire him (all of this has now been memory holed). What does this say about the average wrestling fan? That they are extremely malleable. It's like having one of the best cars that money can buy, but giving it a poor review because of low sales. This type of mentality is unfortunately a very real thing in all walks of life. People flock to crowds that have been created by paid personalities.
