I've been in my house for 5 yrs with a rotten cabinet base (and new plumbing..go figure)and decided to finally rip it out but had no idea how to replace the floor and have no one to help. Thank God for RUclips and people like you!
He's a provider! thank you so much for sharing this sara! you've made me a success..thank you.
Exactly my sentiments on both accounts!
Thank God for you and youtube😀
This was my exact problem as well....No idea where to start or what I might be getting into
You had the same situation as me, only my under sink floor base has been missing in action for last 10 years. I echo you in saying thank GOD for RUclips and Homemender!
Thank you. Your explanations and delivery deserve an A+: no unnecessary chatter; clearly spoken; good audio; and stable camera work without inadvertently hiding what your hands are doing. I think I can do this.
so awesome shannon!.. that makes the video a success..thanks for watching!
Thank you for posting this, I was able to change in just a few hours!! What bothered me for over 2 years is now fixed!!
awesome ac! thanks for sharing!
Did yours smell? Mine smells horrible and idk what the smell is coming from
Great vid!!!! A couple suggestions, use pressure treated plywood for the replacement base or at least treat the untreated plywood. Also, use galvanized nails or screws for extra protection for an extra couple pennies. Lastly, caulk the seam if you have to cut the plywood base in half. Thanks for the vid.
Thank you mp!
Great video and well done. Specific and to the point without constant repeating and BS. Thank you Dustin it was a big help for me.

I did this myself a few years ago. Sadly I didn’t see your video and now have to replace the rotted junk I put in. Thankfully I have your guidance now!!
So cool Julia. Happy to have you :-)
This is a great video! Some videos make it look like this is the hardest job in the world, but this one is the best.
awesome Michelle. Thanks for the comments and thanks for watching! You can do it!
It's a pretty easy job when there are no pipes going through the cabinet bottom. Some of the other videos show a cabinet like mine, with three pipes through the floor. That makes it way more complex.
that does complicate things. You would still do it the same way but measure the location of the pipes, drill the holes for them, then cut the board so you can peice them in. i hope this helps!
You make this look too easy!! Thank you!
You got this!
thank you for the clear, detailed tutorial.
Thank you, ma’am!

I was on the right track, just needed a professional to agree. Thanks so much☺️ At first I was thinking buy a new cabinet, but the more I looked and felt how sturdy the rest of the cabinet was, I thought...wonder if I can fix just the floor? Once again, thanks so much!

of course! and yes... YOU CAN DO IT! thanks for watching evelyn!
Your setup is sooo easy. I have my main pipes for the water supply coming up from the bottom so I will have to cut around them.
hi james.. that is a little tougher..you can still lay it out the same way but before cutting, mark and drill your holes for the pipe, then make your cut to split those holes. the floor will piece in right around them..i hope this helps.. thanks for watching!
Thank u for this video I will try

Thank you my friend. I appreciate the comment Jesus number one.
Thanks! I've been wondering how to do this, with a center divider like you have. Making the framework to rest the new floor on is the key.
awesome V1 ! enjoy your new cabinet base! thanks for commenting!
@@homemend I noticed you had a center wood in there did you take that center wood out?

Always love and respect to the lady outlaw. Thank you ma’am
Damn, that looks easy. My father has an apartment and he keeps wanting to use the original frame that was under the sink that came with the cabinet. The tenants he's had over the last few years were from Turkey, and they've ALL had problems with indoor plumbing. Toilets going over, leaks that never get fixed, and they've made a mess of things. This helps IMMENSELY. Thanks.
youre awesome robot! Thanks or watching!
Update; Slight variation on the theme. I made a frame out of three 2x4's cut 20 3/4 inches long, then used wood screws to fasten one inch cross members to the top of them, and secure the whole thing and to cap it, similar to what you said. Mounting some 3/4 inch plywood on top. Bing, bang, BOOM!!! Took me about an hour or so. The ugly rotted parts left showing I'll trim away, and make it look nice.
Again, thanks so much!!
well done! Thanks robot
This is a great video & very straightforward-I’m gona go for it! …My only question is how I can create the frame. I don’t have any pallets. Any suggestions?
Great question… Any scrap wood in your garage can be used to build the frame if you have none, used two by fours… Sometimes the big box stores have damaged ones that you can get for half price. You got this
