I had the joy of meeting her briefly at her 100th film premiere in NYC 2003. She was the epitome of quiet confidence and timeless femininity. It was such a wonderful experience.
There’s no faking, no filters, no pretending. Just a down-to-earth beautiful, intelligent woman, who is 💯real.! Why can’t people be like this nowadays 😐
Because so many want to be in the front not being beautiful, so they have to fake it. Not everybody is born beautiful, not everybody is born with great voice etc. This seems even some form of protest against dishonest order of nature.
I had the very distinct privilege of meeting her back around this time when she did the Johnny Carson show in 1979. She was a beautiful person inside and out and outside❤
What a lovely lady! While I was watching this I thought about her playing opposite Walter Matthau in "Grumpier Old Men" That's one of my favorite movies and of course I love all of her older work from the early 60s forward. What a lovely lady! ❤️🤩
My favorite of all time, Sophia Loren. She's always straight forward and honest. You can tell she takes care of herself and appreciates life and loves her family. A class act!!!👍
Yes. For me, there are several actresses that I just love. But Sophia is super classy, and so well spoken, amazingly gorgeous, with her striking eyes, cheekbones, mouth etc. She is such an exceptional kind of person.
I never knew anything about her except that she was very attractive. I am so impressed with her. Johnny Carson did a phenomenal job with her . So respectful. Even to give a lovely lady like her a garter. I think I will try to find her book.
Johnny had such a flare for interviewing his guests and listened and let the guest star relax and share ! Classy interview like all of where 🙌🏼👑King of talk show
I LOVED how they went from jokingly and heartwarming in the beginning to absolutely serious and classy throughout when talking about her and her life, it’s amazing
She reminds me so much of my mom... My mom had beauty, dignity, talent and brains. She was a beautiful Sicilian woman and she so admired Sofia Loren. When I was about 7, someone mistook my mom for Sofia... I yelled, NO, she is my mom! One of many reasons I called my son Carl was also because my mom loved the name Carlo (Ponti, her husband who discovered her). This interview was just splendid in real time and again, now. She still captures the hearts of all who watch her work.
This was an exceptional interview. Sophia was an Oscar winner who deserved respect for "Two Women". I haven't read her book but I'm sure it had left her vulnerable. Johnny sensed that and his demeanor was respectful. I miss this show.
Sophia is a beautiful woman. My Mom is a few years younger. She lived in Germany during the war and describes the same things she lived through at the time.
Sofia Loren is a legendary actress...so beautiful and very sensuous, from when she was much younger (as a budding actress) till her older age. Sophia remains a confident, fulfilled, gracious, classy and simply gorgeous woman. She's a worthy, classic gem. Just love her mucho!😍♥️💖💜

Watch the interview on the Dick Cavett show....he was totally bewitched by Sophia which was obvious by his mannerisms. It was her charm and beauty that got him.
Today her teeth would look like everyone’s teeth - no overbite and unnaturally white. Her nose is not altered is unique. So glad nobody was heavy into surgery or cosmetic procedures. She’s a unique type of beauty.
She writes in her book that she was asked to fix her nose. A director told her that she wouldn’t photograph well because of it. How she proved them wrong!
One time I was flying back to college. As I was leaving the airport I mistakenly walked into this limo. All of a sudden the back window came down. It was her. She had the most beautiful yet innocent smile. That was 47 yrs ago. I was 18. Something I will never forget. The airport was Chicago. Such a kind beautiful woman.
I was lucky enough to grow up with Johnny Carson on late night TV. I hope the younger generations can watch this clip and appreciate how great he was in relating to his guests and audience. It was his greatest gift.
I really really enjoyed this interview. Johnny conducted himself in a way that was honorable and the interview was deep, entertaining, and meaningful....unlike Letterman.
My Mother had many similar experiences to Sophia during the war (she too was Italian, tho a few years older than Sophia). She had some amazing stories about what she, her family and her neighbors went thru.
This is probably a rare interview of Sofia. Just a stunning person!! I’d like to say I watched Johnny Carson for sooo many years even back when I still lived with my parents. Over the years Johnny helped so many entertainers actors ect. to become Stars ⭐️ A very generous person❤️

Amen. When people weren't desperate for attention and vain to the point of disgust.
Plenty of people were (and are) superficial but Sophia Loren wasn't one of them.
She's the textbook example of genuine, natural beauty
Some women are stunning on the screen and even more so in person Sophia had it all, I`m sure Johnny became an awestruck teenager in that interview.
The truth was, John F. Kennedy, was awestruck with her beauty.
She's very authentic. Doesn't try to put on a show. She just allows the conversation to gel and flow naturally. Nice to see.
