The OG Dave Greco!! :D So glad seeing him in content again. :D He's made such a huge impact during the early days for the art community especially on twitch
That'd be great! Dave's starting to release more videos on his own channel. Hop over there and let him know you'd like to see that! www.youtube.com/@DaveGreco
I think Sula Moon (Hearthstone Artist) have one or two clips from livestreams in her youtube channel about this topic. If i'm not mistaken she talks about it in her video of "Photoshop Tips and Tricks"
Beautiful fantasy art.. Blizzard always had great artist..and art...back in the day when there was cd games, those books in the package...beatiful,.Diablo also had some great dark art...I like that 😀
Dave doesn't keep a physical sketchbook. But we didn't want to exclude the people who work fully digitally. We got to see his process for some well-known pieces and hear the digital equivalent of some tools talk.
@XerrolAvengerII I'm sure he used a reference when he learned to draw too. That's not the point, though. You hear him talking about time crunch and communication. I would be watching blizzard content for 7 finger night elves WHEN not if they lay off the art department.
We can't guarantee what the future holds for anyone working anywhere. But we think if this guy who's been there this long leaves, it'll be of his own accord. As for what his work "looks like", have some respect for a person who took their time to share their skills and process with you for free.
If you'd put in the time to upskill yourself instead of wasting time with generating negative opinions for yourself, judging people who've actually spent countless hours to develop their artistic capabilities, you'd realize that you could be more than a condescending commenter on a YT video. There's enough work to go around, AI is not going to replace everything. You may have given up on yourself, but that's not the case for the rest of us, Sir.

One thing i would love to have a tutorial of, is painting fx. There are very less videos on the topic.

Its good to see Dave. I used to watch his stuff way back when he was freelance and streaming on twitch.
Shooting your own reference is incredibly useful and not spoke of much. Great video!
The editing quality of this channel dosn't gets the credit that it deserves.
Aw, thanks! 🥹
Dave is always great, but extra shoutout to the editor - so many lovely little touches, awesome work!
Greco is a legend

Workflow - pretty simple
Skills - pretty complex
Nice one!
Great video! Do you ever use *DAZ* or *Character Creator* for setting up figure reference?

I just quit Wow (again). But Mtg is here to stay.

Second lol
Actual first besides our pinned. Congrats lol
@@ProkoTVwoo thanks guys! XD
Any chance to see Grummz?
He's not an artist AFAIK
So much talk about reference and yet neither biceps nor triceps are shaped properly
The dude is going to get fired. All that stuff looks like AI. You think blizzard cares?
probably because the ai is trained illegally on his work 😮

There's nothing about this that looks like AI. Lol ya'll just see something digital and scream it's AI 😂🙄
