      @@brunobordini7696 Quixel Mixer will no longer exist and has been no longer supported, quietly retired.
      If Epic hypothetically where to have some sort of texture painter/material editor in the future it would be directly in Unreal.

      So, I followed the example, and it said that I claimed them and to go to Quixel to download them, but there only seems to be one page with about 16 items on it....what am I doing wrong?

    Hi Unreal Sensei. Is it that easy to receive those assets? Just claim them and they won't be taken away from the account in the future? I know the FAQ says it won't but it seems sus. Do you recommend buying a hard drive to backup assets?

    1:20 sorry for the dumb question, but after clicking the claim free megascan button, how do I "add the asset to my library" ? There is a go to quixel profile button, which I clicked and I landed on My Library, where I can see all the stuff i got from the ages of Free for the Month on UE. But how do I know that I have the megascan, I don't see anything with that name in the library. I guess that is the "add the asset to my library" part of your explanation, but then again, how do I add them? Should I expect to have to do x thousands of clicks to add them individually, or is there "a thing" to click and grab all in one shot, and where?

      Sounds like a grey area. I am thinking the same but I can't find a definitive answer. Once you click the link it doesn't add them to your library so no where does it say you either have to add them to your library manually or not.

      It looks like you have to download thousands of assets one by one, unzip them, import them into you project and only then can you use them.

      but once you've clicked claim , you've owned all those megascan assets . it would be kinda messy to have thousands of assets in your library... maybe just search for the thing you want and download it as you've already owned it...

      I would recommend downloading some, the reason being in the terms they do state they might remove assets without notice. I do cover it in my video (has timestamps)

    What is the difference between "claiming" the assets and adding them into your library.
    I have claimed all Megascan Assets but I would still need to add all of them to the library to actually own them? Or does just claiming them also make them available forever?

    can you please re-check this and confirm ? because even after you do that, it shows "add to library" button, and upon clicking only it shows "owned" ? My gut feeling that you still needed to individually "add-to-library" and rest only available free to add-to-library till end of 2024.. :/ ??

      They haven't merged the two libraries yet. this from FAQ:
      "We're working on a solution to add all Megascans to your Fab library and allow you to easily manage them. Stay tuned for more details."

      I am not sure of every item but I checked a few and once I clicked the claim button and checked a few of the assets, it showed me that I have 'claimed' megascan, try once I think they updated the system now 😊

      Yes, the text is confusing , it's not clear if you have access to all of them with the ability to download them all UNTIL the end of 2024 or they are yours forever.

    Same question as everyone else about adding to Library. Also, none of the Megascans are UASSET files so when you filter Quixel by Game Engine/unreal, the only compatible assets are the 10 packs. Also, Assets from Bridge are now giving me a not available in UAsset format, and only files in Bridge local will work. All projects requiring Megascans are at a standstill.

    What about Bridge?⁉ Fab, or whatever they call it, as a bridge to directly import assets from their basic site into 3D software like 3ds Max, Blender, UE5, etc

    I would recommend dowloading some (ie. Ones you dont ever want to lose) the reason for this is due to the terms stating they can remove them at any time.

    So clicking on the Claim button makes it so that you own it. But you also said "You don't have to download the asset to get them. All you have to do is add the asset to your library." Does that mean we have to go one by one and add them to our library? With 17,000+ assets, that could take a while.

    I'm on 5.4.4 and don't have this Fab menu in UE. I still have the old Quixel Bridge and Marketplace options. What version is this?

      He is using the alpha version of the fab plugin,It has not been released yet. Soon it will be released for everyone to use and quixel will be gone ...

      No. When you claim it using the one button, the assets are owned by you. Thats all you need to do

      @@mataku4635 Yeah, but as of now until the end of the year they're free forever. Obviously they'll still make new megascans, but those new ones won't be free. Although I read a few emails from UE and Team Quixel and they mentioned that every so often they'll have some more free assets available. But if you claim the megascans assets right now then you'll have more than enough to make video games/videos.

    HI Sensei - I currently am still using Quixel Bridge inside of 3ds max to directly bridge assets, textures and models etc, I have already claimed all the megascans asset both on megascans website and on FAB website, do you think FAB will create a plugin which will do the same thing as Quixel bridge and allow us to import assets directly into our 3d applications and when?

    OK...I've looked at the FAB page & I have claimed them. Now why does it have a button that says "Go to Quixle Profile?"
    Because when I click on that button, it comes up with a lot of assets, some of which says owned but others that are NOT owned. Do I need to click on each one to own them?

    Something doesn't look right for me: I did a quick search for some of the nice concrete textures in Bridge and...."No products. Quixel does not offer assets for concrete" :/

      If you got them to use in Unreal for free no, those assets will not carry over. Claim them on Fab.

      I tested this and it the claiming them as shown on the screen at 1:17 adds the whole megascan library to your account (but doesn't download anything) in a single click.

      @@Skyztamer thing is, when we click on one item, it says that we own it, but beside the doanload button, there is another one called add to my library, so i was wondering if we had to get each items 1 per 1 despite clicking on claim

      @@etienne4081 I think I understand the confusion as I didn't notice that aspect earlier.
      We should still own everything, but I'm assuming not everything is added to our library as I mistakenly stated so our library isn't cluttered.
      So perhaps as long as the megascan assets we claimed aren't removed from the Fab/Quixel Bridge storefront, we should be able to add them to our library whenever since we now own their licenses.

    Besides little things like bringing back written reviews I like what I see of Fab so far. I've heard people are having issues but I'm sure Epic Games will take on community feedback to improve Fab over time. It has only just launched after all so there are bound to be some teething problems with such a large change to the ecosystem

    Hey Ureal, I am relatively new at learning unreal engine. But I have a fantastic game idea that is very unique, I am hunting for 2-3 people that are incredibly good at what they do, to create a team capable of putting together a project. To very much over simplify the idea, so it doesn't get stolen, imagine a more in-depth cross over between 7 days to die and medieval dynasty. If you're interested to hear more about this, please let me know and I will give you my discord. My aim is to actually release this on steam and consoles, which I will fund, then the profits will be split equally amongst the team of 2-4 people

    I'm using my own models and textures only, because i want to be game asset creator / designer in future once, but it's awesome you can claim all of megascans library for free by one click. Thank you for the infos! Claimed, and it shows not owned in the library "folder" view, but if i enter into any asset it says i'm own the item. So it's working. Do you know about some Fab plugin for other software, for Blender to drag and drop megascan assets? I searched for it but no result.

    a note: if you can't see the assets in your library that's normal. They haven't merged the two libraries yet. this from FAQ:
    "We're working on a solution to add all Megascans to your Fab library and allow you to easily manage them. Stay tuned for more details."

    I remember a few months ago some people actually created a script for megascans so they can have the assets on their account.. not there's just a one click button you can use to do the same thing.

    Its still quite strange, i clicked over this button, but it only made me own some preset scenes, and trees, but not individual itens
