I understand you're busy, and regional games don't get as much attention but I'd love to see analysis on premiership games or top 14, as I think Russells performances in those games have been interesting too.

I just watched it frame by frame. It does go forward. But it's less than a pace. That's always (almost) gonna be given the benefit of the doubt in an international game these days. I wouldn't think it's clear and obvious to anyone on the ground.

It's a shame that they're pretty lax on this (I'm even annoyed when my team scores when I think it's a forward pass... rules are rules, or rather laws are laws, after all), as on other issues like knock-ons they're very on-it so it seems a bit inconsistent.

As an Ireland fan, really looking forward to the game on Sunday albeit with a certain degree of trepidation. I expect it to be an entertaining game, with both teams playing great stuff recently and of course there is a lot on the line too! Ireland have the better team on paper but Scotland are extremely dangerous, especially at home.

Hmmm.... It did seem like 14 vs 14 suited Scotland better than France. Having more space on the pitch negated France having the biggger, more muscular pack. In addition, did France get their substitutions wrong? Or were they just unfortunate? They somehow ended up without Aldritt and Jelonch, when they only needed to lose Jelonch.
It was a game that reminds me why Rugby is wonderful. It really did have it all and Scotland are becoming a wonderful team. It'd remarkable and this Scottish team may be the best for generations. We'll talk about these for years to come.

And he's 26 years old. Presumably has an even higher win ratio for Leinster. Phenomenal career to date. And yet he's more or less ignored outside Ireland. Why?

Ireland vs Scotland should be a live wire, despite how dangerous Scotland have become, they do make a lot of errors and I can't help but feel they have been overperforming. I felt Scotland were better against France, but there were too many lapses and France took their opportunities. I think Ireland will be even more clinical, more disciplined and kick better than France, it will take a lot more from Scotland to beat Ireland. Still I am really looking forward to this game as both teams are believing in themselves and playing fearless rugby!
I get what you are saying but I don't think I'd say they have overperformed. If anything, if they cut out a few more of the silly mistakes they made against France then they could have won that game and it would also give them a fighting chance at home against Ireland. I'd still be surprised if Ireland lost though as they just look unstoppable when at their best.

Even at that, the Irish didn’t really rise above 2nd gear after half time. So, even allowing for obvious Scottish improvements this year, they still have quite a way to go and Ireland will absolutely demolish Scotland this coming Sunday afternoon.
