You have definitely done your homework. A lot of guys don’t know about the Watts link stud, it’s a nice bit of insurance. Also the KYB shocks are quality. Good show!
I just replaced the control arms in my 04 Town car. I used Moog OE replacements. My 04 Marauder has those Heinous arms installed. The ride is firm and definitely feels more composed and planted. The 1 - 2 upshift breaks the tires loose now that there is no pinion angle deflection. I love the isolated feel of the OE suspension on the Town Car, though.
The 97-01 navigators are crazy cheap and I'll bet they are real comfortable but I'm guessing they're cop magnets so I'll drive slow if I get one. The 4.6 town car is probably the better choice in the long run, tons of interchangeable parts from the crowns and Marquis
Nice car there sir....I think I will get one someday as I really enjoy the ride on them coupled with that bulletproof reliability. Although I am a truck guy mostly.

Samkitts, adding pep to these cars or any for that matter is not a cheap endeavor. But some of the easiest are the installation of a pi intake on a non pi motor will add some HP at min cost if you have the single exhaust set up replace with the dual system those two will give you a noticeable increase. Also depending on your year getting a Pi air intake system from a 04 crown vic will add some HP along with the the air box and the 80mm maf. You can google this stuff and check out the results. Don't waste your $$ CAI with a cone the air boxes on these 04's will support 300HP thats more than your stock 4.6 is going to make even with the mentioned add ons. These are the cheapest ways there is also ripping your motor down and install a full PI top end which would net you about 60HP give or take but is not cheap or easy.
Forgive me I'm a new virgin on an old scene haha. Have a 1990 Lincoln Town car base model somebody told me it's a windsor 5.0 engine. and they're trying to convince me that I can get better gas mileage by upgrading from TDI distributor coil pack to a HEI setup. without taking it out of my daily driver I can't tell what part number I have whether I have a steel gear or what to even bother. Side note, the inside of the cap and the rotor bug do look like they're worn. I've sprayed them out with mass air flow sensor cleaner like electronics cleaner.
Got a 1998 Lincoln TC trying to order the upper control arm assy (comes with Bushings and the ball Joint already installed) but there is two different options, with or without handling package. Does anyone know the difference or how to tell which one a person might have. Thanks
Anyone found down pipes that work on this year Angry Panther's? I would like to ditch some cats if possible and install some flowmaster cats somewhere in the exhaust
How are the performance upgrades since this was posted? I recently got an '02 town car and recently have found adtr.net and want some suspension upgrades. The one I bought is missing the rear sway bar completely and they did the bags to spring swap and it has 160k plus all the shocks are shot and leaking, so... That alone should tell you why I want some upgrades lol...
I have a question for you do you think with those upgrade you can take Corners as fast and well as a Crown Vic. I ask because I have a 92 Lincoln Town Car that I got sitting on a 2003 Lincoln Town Car chassis. it made it handles great. the way it is now I have the marauder front struts Springs. air ride in the back that alone was a huge improvement over the 92 suspension it used to ride on. I'm mainly asking does it change the characteristics on Corning fast and cutting in and out of traffic.
5.7L Hemi oh absolutely. The biggest upgrade performance wise would be regearing the car to 3.55s or Larger... you should at least step up the gears two sizes than you already have. And don’t forget the Trac Lok differential.
There is a throttle body from a e-series vans that's a 5mm step up from the stock throttle body size. Can buy them off of ebay for like $50-ish. The tc's are rated at 239 horse, and the e-series & others w/ the larger TB are rated at 250, and the TB is the only difference, so I assume a 5-10 hp increase if you got that, and a k&n air filter
Will I was running an aftermarket throttle body from an aftermarket drive by wire throttle body manufacturer. It was awesome when it worked right but was very problematic throwing wrench lights after about a year of use. I finally threw my hands up in the air and put the stock TB back on. I would be more inclined to have the factory TB enlarged and ported..
5.7 Hemi is lucky because the 03 and 04 years have the cable TB, so they wont have that issue like how the 05-up's do. Hopefully, unless it is a computer issue.. I wonder if any other companies besides BBK make TBs
Will they feel like they make the rear end not sag at take off... this feels like more go since the back of the doesn’t dip down before launch ... but as far as added HP No. it I can confidently say they will shave time off 1/4 mile runs and make the car feel more refined. I finally finished the install of the short arms and everything feels very solid.
Yea I bet they just say that to boost sales haha. Was it a big pain to install? I know you mentioned your car is in the snow belt, unfortunately mine is the same. Although mine doesnt have 20,000 miles, I can sense the bolts are going to be rather stubborn.
Will I got lucky and the long arms came right out with an air gun and socket. The short arms came out the frame but the bolts on the axle end were stuck in the steel bushing inserts. I had to cut the heads off the rear bolts and use spacers and kept tightening the nuts to make them break free. Then I replaced the hardware with the appropriate hardware once out. It wasn’t fun at all. Those bolts must be Grade 10.
That sounds like one heck of a day messing with that. Hopefully some PB blaster over a couple days should be able to make the bolts really easy to get out, if and when I get mine
Aco I have a 2000 TC if you don't want to spend a lot of $$ on ADTR bar you can get one from any crown vic or grand marquis of the same year but make sure you get all the brackets with it and upgrade the links to the neoprene rubber links. Makes a difference but still retains a nice ride. I have had situations where adding a much thicker sway bar made the ride harsher really depends on what you want out of your car.
@@carguysnewengland You can get a 21mm rear sway from a Marauder or a '95-'97 Town Car with the handling package. Makes it turn in like a BMW and corner amazing but it affected the ride too much for me so I took it off
Does anyone know if 2010 town car interior, dash, door panels will fit in a 2010 crown Vic? I love the crown Vic just the interior is way out dated and the town car interior is beautiful.
I was thinking of getting the limited slip on my Marquis in hopes that if I slide the rear I don't lose it suddenly and I can't keep track of it. I'm thinking the open diff is doing this thing where it safely spins one tire with limited traction, then the whole rear sort of snaps away as soon as the other tire slips too. I really want to be able to have a nice slide, but it would be _ideal_ if it were more controlled. Will a LSD help this?
Yes a limited slip will help this. Adtr.net has a few choices for are cars. I personally am using the Eaton Detroit lsd. I also added 3.73 gearing at the same time and the panther skirts now
If you're getting an lsd you should look at doing a gear swap well your doing the lsd, 4.10 gears are perfect for these cars because of the crazy long gear ratios in the auto transmission, makes controlling slides 1000% better, not very expensive either
@@AlastorTheNPDemon oh shoot son! Ur gear ratio is fine then if you've got the manual swap, lsd would make that bad boy quite the nice streetable/driftable build!

What does all of this do to the plush ride quality? Id eventually like to upgrade but dont want to make it a firm ride.
