I’m working with a 99 with non-pi heads but doing what I can since it already came with the duel exhaust and track suspension and steering. Looking forward to changing out the cylinder heads to a 4v. Hope to see your video on what you do to that car
I’m all for the 4v swap on a non pi 2v block as it makes awesome compression but it would be a lot easier to just swap in a Lincoln Mark VIII engine and call it a day lol

Hey, happen to know what kind of plenum / throttle body I could use on my 08 grand Marquis? I checked your Amazon page and the plenum appears to be different

Hi ma sorry to bother but I have a 2005 Lincoln Town car and Im trying to make it like urs so if u don't mind me asking how did u installed the plenum because can't connect all the hoses
Lot of money seems spent for very minimal gain. Couple items that were purchased are not worth the box they were packaged in. With that engine better performance gains would be thru a simple tune maybe go from the 3,27 to 3.55 ring and pinion and headers with a freer flowing exhaust.
pontiac reddz it has a SCT custom tune... but I’ve done a lot more mods since this video and a few videos on that stuff including Trac Lok Install, 3:73s and custom Aluminum driveshaft. I’ve also reworked the entire suspension and brakes 😉 also I have stainless works headers now... thank you for watching
Benjamin Clark high end for sure... the car is very responsive above 60mph mpg definitely dropped though... and running 93 octane gets expensive. Throttle response is good but the car is still a tank off the line... I suspect the gear ratio
Mpg usually increases with a tune especially a higher octane And the intake is probably killing your low end torque as it’s too big for the stock heads and cams
@@carguysnewengland gear and where the engines peak torque is. I read it's at 4800 rpm which is literally insane for such a heavy car. 290 lb ft is nice but not up that high

Running correctly and B. Was modified correctly so yea my estimate could still very well be generous 🤣..who really knows
In all honesty on stock heads and cams it’s probably killing the low end torque and not reving high enough to utilize the flow capabilities of the intake
I have a couple of questions. First, do you HAVE to switch to the aluminum intake? I just got my intake replace last year, and it was expensive to get done. Secondly, does SCT have a specific tune to help this mod, or is it a bit of a trial/error thing? Lastly, my ride is a 2004 Grand Marquis. Will this work???
For a mild build the stock intake is fine and on stock heads and can you will never see the real potential of this intake anyway..the sct is great, it has preset tunes that you can modify and they work pretty well but the best bang for buck is to take the car and get the tuner a custom program to make the best of your mods and yes these mods will work on your car, it’s pretty much the same car
Sct has some "preset" tunes. Basically mustang gt tunes. I have one on my 11 CV. I didn't go in and change fuel curves or transmission shift points but you can go to a tuner shop and do a lot. It recognized the Vin number and I can tune it for 87, 89 or 93 octane. Does it all with a few pushes of the buttons. I think I have the sct 3. If you have it tuned for 93 and put 87 in the tank, it does not immediately make it run badly but it does recognize the octane and I will hear spark knock under a load before it downshifts. Good tuner for the money. I have had mine for 4 years now.
The factory coils are just fine even under small amounts of boost. The doot tube is just a noise maker. The world products intake is worse flowing than the pi plastic intake but wont leak like the plastic one. The only good modification was the programmer . honestly , its a 4400 pound car with a too small of engine. This car needs a min of 330 ftlbs and 350 horse. 3.73 gears and a 6 speed.
It’s not that the world products intake flows worst it’s that the factory heads and cams don’t do enough for it so if you put it on stock heads and cams you’ll lose power but if you put it on top of some decent heads and cams you’ll get decent numbers from it

mark0101 This is UNBELIEVABLE!!! So, even though the description of this pure aluminum manifold shows the oldest date as 2004 and for 5.0 liter, would this really work with 2003-2011 Lincoln Town Cars???
The underdrive pulleys are the same on the 01-04 mustang. Several videos show it to be a 10-12hp increase. Many videos also show a tune on these 2v modular motors will add anywhere from 15 to 30 hp. The intake is probably 5 hp until its heat soaked. My 09 CVPI p71 is 4170 lbs with me in it. I have a drop in filter and Accel super coils with NGK platinum spark plugs. I gained about half a second 0-60 at 7.2 seconds. But the biggest difference is drivability and mpg.
WarriorOfEden3033 That’s absolutely false..the years the cvpi made 250 the town car made 239 and that was ONLY due to the computer tuning from the factory..They had the same exact engines from oil pan to intake plenum..do some research 😂

Would you be able to make a short video on that and pointing out where what goes and how you did it?
Yes please I want to know as well
Run it exactly how the directions tell you to install it on the mustang then flip it around 180* and install it..done 👍
Very similar to my 04 Grand Marquis. I'm looking to upgrade mine once time and money let me. Lol, did you notice much of a difference between power??
Strong 0047 [Prospect] best boost in performance for one of these cars is gears.
Dyno Numbers?
Mpg?
For all those mods you could have gotten a small cam and out done all those mods for less
Without supporting mods the he currently has?
Link for intake please!
nvm found it

mark0101 This is UNBELIEVABLE!!! So, even though the description of this pure aluminum manifold shows the oldest date as 2004 and for 5.0 liter, would this really work with 2003-2011 Lincoln Town Cars???
Gábriel Priòre Yes the intake will fit from 2002-2011 as the engine didn’t really change much over the years
Hooray you gained 15 horsepower in a 4,500 lb car
That’s being very generous 😂😂
The underdrive pulleys are the same on the 01-04 mustang. Several videos show it to be a 10-12hp increase. Many videos also show a tune on these 2v modular motors will add anywhere from 15 to 30 hp. The intake is probably 5 hp until its heat soaked. My 09 CVPI p71 is 4170 lbs with me in it. I have a drop in filter and Accel super coils with NGK platinum spark plugs. I gained about half a second 0-60 at 7.2 seconds. But the biggest difference is drivability and mpg.
Hooray. Someone modified their car. I'm glad it pissed you off 👍
Bro it’s 4005 pounds
We take what we can get
Horse power?
200-210 at the wheels
Maybe buy trick flow heads 😂😂

😂 ruclips.net/p/PL3p0EMW7p_Y9HapBT_lbuC1SlNRILnwb7 👍😉
I bet you watched that video and felt real silly 🤦♂️😂🤣
That's cool but crown vic police interceptor is a much better car, better heads oil cooler trans cooler posi dual exhaust aluminum drive shaft sway bars lock up torque converter 4 wheel disc brakes
The police interceptors and the town cars of the same years have the same exact engines including the heads
@@eriv4735 yet the police has 250 hp & the town car has 205 😂
WarriorOfEden3033 That’s absolutely false..the years the cvpi made 250 the town car made 239 and that was ONLY due to the computer tuning from the factory..They had the same exact engines from oil pan to intake plenum..do some research 😂
@@eriv4735 my bad I was thinking of the 99 town car
@@eriv4735 also the police uses the marauder intake. The Mustang has an even better intake that’s why the 18 hp bump
