OMG!!!! I've literally heard everyone say Mon Paris by YSL is incredible and I'm soooo glad you told me it's a Patchouli bomb. I almost bought it blindly and I hate Patchouli so much!!!! I definitely need to sample it first then. Phew. So glad I watched this video. Literally saved me over a hundred bucks so thank you!!!!

I disliked Mon Paris at first, but now I absolutely love it! If patchouli is the issue (as it was initially for me😄), I would suggest Mon Paris Couture! It's darker berries (purple juice) and no patchouli!! Love love love both of them now!!🤦♀️🤷♀️😩😂
If you hate patchouli, then I am sure you wouldn't like Mon Paris. I blindly bought Mon Paris and HATED it! Way to strong on the patchouli.

I have heard so many people say how much they love this scent but when I smelled it I was so disappointed. To me it smells so bitter and even a bit too mature for my liking.
I always heard ppl say Black Opium is so harsh and heavy, but I smelled a sample and it was actually so light, I could barely smell it lol. It's amazing how we all perceive these things so differently.

I agree I love gardenia as well. Growing up my grandmother had a beautiful yard with a lot of aromatic and highly fragrant flowers. Gardenia was one of them. Omg smelled awesome 😳☺

I can’t blind buy no way. Cloud, which is the most complimented scent smells like rotten milk on me, and something worse than BO that I can’t say. Go figure? I’m terrified to drop a ton on something like Delina just to hate it.

I have Lalique Amethyst, and at first I was unimpressed, but then I fell in love with it and I wear it to bed. It's like a cosy (like a childhood memory) Berry ice tea at grandma's in the country side on a summer day. Very comforting and nostalgic for me.

Bro I bought Miami Glow cause of you and it's the worst thing I have ever worn loool. Just did not smell good on me at all. Smelled like a hand soap from the dollar store. Goes to show everyone has a different taste and our body chemistry really changes how scents end up smelling on us. it's astounding how we all perceive everything so differently.

I'm a patchouli hater too. To me it smells like an elderly man who is always drunk. It's awful. I love my flowerbomb and my coco mademoiselle, but the dry down of these 2 is heavy on the patchouli and i get little unconfotable when the base notes start to show.
My most hated one is MUGLER'S ANGEL, headache in a bottle.
Yes, Angel made me gag, very dirty patchouli, it smells like stinky amrpit. Since that I can't even stand patchouli in any fragrances.

One of my hated perfumes is Black Orchid, I honestly don't see how so many people can like it (and the audacity to call it sweet!?!), it's super strange and niche smelling, to me smells like grains.. Tbh a couple of niche super expensive perfumes have smelled like cough sirup to me, it would almost be funny if the samples wouldn't cost 8 pounds :D I was also tricked into buying Lovely, which is absolutely not like it's name

I think my most hated is baccarat rouge 540, smells like the inside of a dentist's office on me. i even tried the juliana's perfume dupe which is supposed to be slightly sweeter but still the same experience. I got princess by kilian recently, also dont like that, soemtimes it smells soo sharp to me, i dont smell the marshmellow, other times i do, but i dont love it enough to pay that much for it, on the other hand, fancy by jessica simpson, i got it because of demi rawlings video and i love it on my skin i dont smell ANY florals at all just pear and caramel. I mixed it with princess and it instantly made princess sweeter for me as well, but i could still smell the sharpness of princess, im not sure if anyone else gets that from princess. soemtimes when i dont smell the sharpness though, i smells nice but it kinda smells like i spilled some nice yummy tea all over myself, it smells like soemthing i want to drink but not something i want to smell like

i hate the smell of patchouli on myself. and even just in the air. but my mom is a big patchouli wearer and it always smells so good on her !! it definitely is body chemistry. so pls don’t let hate get to you. everyone’s nose and chemistry is different which is part of the fun of fragrance
So, this is sooo funny! Just today I watched another perfume reviewer and her top 10 fall fragrances and she put Body Shop's White musk in her top 3 perfumes because she loves it so much! :D This was the most inexpensive perfume on her list, all the other ones were mostly niche fragrances. It just goes to say that until you put a fragrance on your own skin and smell it, it doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks, because liking a fragrance is such an individual thing and it all depends on your body chemistry. None of the perfumes my sister wears smell good on me, I actually hate them on me, but when I smell them on her, I'm in love and I always have to remind myself not to buy them because they stink on my skin :D
Mon Paris literally makes me 🤮. Also, I dislike Libre in every shape and form. I know it's very popular and loved by many, but I loathe it. Delina is another one everybody raves about, but I had to scrub it off immediately. It's important to say that we should wear what we like, even if everybody hates it and you love it, wear it, enjoy it, rock it.
Libra smells so weird and overpowering on me - made my husband’s throat feel irritated just sniffing it. And I couldn’t wash it off - hung around and gave me a headache. Good to know about Delina because I was tempted thinking it would be life changing, lol - pass! And you know how most people love Cloud? Sour milk, like Philosophy Fresh cream. But I just for fun sprayed Fresh cream Warm Cashmere over the body spray (maybe because it’s weaker but I don’t hate hate it) and the two mixed together smell smoky good - I don’t have Fireside Flurries or By the Fireplace, bsmoky, but it had that vibe, only not as strong like matches smoke from BTF. What do you like?

I have fancy and lush lust ( two which I love ) but I am not offended at all. I am a jasmine lover as well. Amethyst, however I bought and I still have which I am going to get rid of… I absolutely hate!! She Smells way too medicinal and like berry herb stem ice tea vibe. Yuck. 🤢🤮

I had the same initial reaction to Amethyst until I realized that it reminded me of the way my Mary Kate and Ashley barbies hair used to smell lmao. Kind of plasticy shampoo smell. Almost like hairspray. And now it's one of my favorites!! If Gardenia is too floral it turns me off too!

Yesterday I experienced my first HATE towards a perfume. It was Lancome Tresor. I’ve been wanting to blind purchase it for awhile. In fact I put in an offer of $6. less than asking price on Mercari. Luckily, it didn’t go through bc the same day I went to Dillard’s to smell it. On paper it smells like Heaven -

Same! I got it as a gift from my Mum who liked it and hates most perfumes. I tried so hard to like it but something in it is just disgusting to me, it smells so cheap with almost a cat pee element. And so many people love it, I just don’t understand.
That's why the better way to know a perfume is always spray on your own skin. Because smells very different the essence on a paper than on your skin

Fancy is one of my faves! I’ve got so many people to buy it. I wouldn’t say I hate this one, but Miami glow by JLo. To me, there’s absolutely NOTHING special about it lol. I was shook when I smelled it because people hyped it up soooo much! Getting rid of mine, I have way too many others that actually do something to me lol

I have to agree that Live Colorfully is just floral. I had a huge bottle and decided to sell it because I never reach for it. I kept the rollerball because I wore it for my moms wedding. I also hate Fancy because I thought it had a medicinal/cough syrup scent and I hate that. I don’t get why everyone raves about it, but to each their own.
I have to say that the perfume I’ve hated most is Tom Ford Black Orchid. It made me want to puke and I gave it a second chance with the same reaction. I couldn’t wash it off fast enough and I had to use another perfume to try and mask it. It’s a hard no for me.

Omg so surprised with the mon paris one, actually i realized that "you are the one from BBW" smells just like the opening of this one, in case you like the opening but no the drydown...
I loved the fancy the first time I tried it as well as Lalique amethyst and they slowly turned into hates as well 😩😭 I used the pick up the Almond and caramel in fancy so much and now all I get is gardenia and I don’t like gardenia much either.

I went in to Ulta and was smelling the perfumes they had out. And omg I HATED Prada Candy. Like ugh it's trash to me, it smelt like fake plastic and nastiness. I thought it would be similar to aqualina Pink Sugar ?! I'm glad I have pink sugar though 💕🍬♀️💋 it's the perfect sweet cotton candy scent. I would never waste my money on Prada Candy. Lol well I know for a fact there are people who hate my fav perfumes 😂 my top two favs are from Mugler if that tells you anything 🤪 Alien and Angel Nova. You just keep doing you girl ☺️ I can't understand why anyone would get offended over a difference in opinion with perfumes of all things. Like.. my mom hates a lot of my perfumes but those same ones get me tons of compliments from others. Perfume is soooo subjective! But that's the beauty of it, there's something for everyone. Some perfumers dare to go to lengths others wouldn't, and they still have loyal customers who love their products.
I love Amethyst. I don't like overly sweet berry perfumes. To me, they smell childish. Amethyst is the only berry perfume that I like.
My most hated perfume is Pink sugar. Sometimes I use it, but it gives me headaches. Too synthetic.

My scent preferences changed over the years. I use to be only fruity. I still do some fruity scents but now that I am older I tend to thrive on fresh, and florals. Fragrance truly comes down to the person and I don't think anyone should judge you based on your dislikes / likes. The Carolina Herrera Very Good Girl is the only one from the Good Girl line I can wear the others smell awful on me. This comes off as a very mature powder-y fragrance which I don't usually wear. I do think theirs a time and a place for this fragrance night time wear for me. I wore it to the casino for the first time last night but this isnt a perfume I could wear day to day. I have Jessica Simpson fancy in my collection and have yet to wear it, its still sitting in my closet unopened. I love Gardenia fragrances but had bad luck at Ross this week when I picked up Elizabeth Taylor Gardenia who we I smelled like a nursing home I smelled like pee so bad! I am not a fan of most lush fragrances PERIOD bath bombs nothing....
the first one that comes to my mind is Hypnotic Poison, i think it's way too powdery and smells like baby powder to me at least😭
Variety is the spice of life…why wear a perfume you don’t like, or have to try to like it! If it makes you feel beautiful, sexy, comfortable, cozy, etc. etc. go for it!!

I love Mon Pari it’s a long lasting fragrance on me and recieve a lot of unsolicited compliments from strangers like literally a lot.. but girl i do understand. It depends on each other’s body chemistry. Like even BR540 smells like metalliccc-y on my skin and for some reason it gives me a a headache and a nauseated feeling, i just can’t vibe with it. i try and tried but it’s a No ma’am for me 😂

The only thing offensive about this video is you having to repeatedly justify yourself on why you hate these perfumes. People have different preferences. If an audience can't understand the concept of preference, it's their problem. Periodt!
I must love patchouli because I love Mon Paris. However I am also trying to love Lalique Amethyst. I’m not quite sure what I am smelling. I still have it but I may end up getting rid of it.
I love fancy on it’s own, but if you mix it with Amber Romance from VS, you get this extra sweet and sexy scent ❤️ My bf loves it and I get so many compliments.

@@ksenja6023 that’s ok, don’t feel bad. It’s really about personal preference and what suits you. I used to feel the same way about Fantasy, everybody loves that perfume and even though I love sweet perfumes I don’t like it for some reason 😂🤷🏻♀️ smells a bit sickening to me.
I hate pure florals - even My Way is terrible. So all the Gucci Floras are terrible. I love what you love. So I know what to stay away from. Have you tried Kate Spade New York? Sweet and spicy. Doesn’t have pepper but for some reason I smell pepper in the dry down
So weird how different people are. I usually gravitate towards sweet and gourmand perfumes like you, and I'm not a big fan of floral perfumes, but I do love the White Musk perfume from The Body Shop. :)
I cried when you put up fancy. Lol I have that perfume and it's one my fave caramel, vanilla scents. Sorry to hear you don't like it but it's okay, two scents I'm not fan of are eucalyptus and peppermint unless it's mixed with something like vanilla.
My most hated and disliked perfumes (worst to least bad):
- Rihanna - Reb’l Fleur (body fluids, dirty disgusting 7 days without a shower mess)
- Swiss Arabian - Crystal Rose (smells like a funeral in a very strong obnoxious way; smells like death and will probably kill any living being in a radius of 50 meters and torture the remaining ones for around 10h)
- Sarantis B.U. - Rockmantic (smells like dirty grass - perfect if you want to smell like a lawnmower - I feel like this scent would be disgusting even for a lawnmower though)
- Calvin Klein - Euphoria (nothing euphoric about it; just dirty green depth that I want to wash off)
- Sophia Vergara - Sofia (leafy, dirty oakmoss and mouldy sappy feeling scent)
Perfumes & scents are so personal & subjective. I wish I could love Dior's Pure Poison but on my skin, it turns into a very weird & off-putting expired soap scent after 3 hours. The scent itself is lovely but it just doesn't work on me. I absolutely have to try scents on my skin first because it can be very fickle & picky as hell which is annoying but saves me money, I guess. I love these videos!
I've tried a sample of Meliora and it didn't wow me, the berries faded much faster than I had hoped. I hate patchouli, but I'm actually okay with it in Mon Paris, I get strawberry pine trees from it. La vie est belle however, I despise because it's just 100% patchouli to me, nothing else, so I know how you feel!
My most hated scents are Coco Mademoiselle & dark kiss from Bath&body works🤮& scandal & black opium
I dislike Coco Mademoiselle also. Most of these RUclips reviewers love it. I think it smells like bug spray.
Everybody has different tastes, I never really get offended by someone else opinions. I have the Carolina Herrera very good girl, I blind bought it, and I have been trying to make myself like it, but I just don’t know. LOL!! Also, I bought the skylar vanilla sky and it’s very cozy and yummy!!🙌🙌❤️

What's very interesting is that the Mon Paris scented body lotion smells amazing. No patchouli to be found! (It also lasts forever on the skin.) 💜

I’m half way through the video. 😆 Mon Paris edp is a hard no for me because I also get only patchouli but I love the edt 🥰 Very good girl was so disgusting to me 🤢🤮 I tried a few times and can’t vibe with that one at all. People compare it to Delina but I think Delina was done so nice and very good girl is all over the place.. sour, screechy 🙅🏻♀️

Omg! I bought the Kate spade perfume too. Live color fully. I smelled it on someone and she told me that was what she was wearing. I think she was 🤥 lying. What she smelled like smelled nothing like that KS perfume! It gives me a headache 🤕. I tried spraying it a few times and letting it settle . It’s smells so bad. Too much floral and it’s strong. It gives me a headache. Glad we are on the same page 👍
