It's truly amazing how many chances Chrissy got. If he was anybody else he would've died in season 1. Sheer Nepotism on Tony's part but it's hard to blame him, anybody who has a close friend/family member that you always hope they one day wake up and get smart but that's just wishful thinking. Chrissy was just too immature and too emotional for the mob. He wanted the respect others had but he always tried too hard or didn't try at all. There was no middle ground with Chris which Tony always tried to bring out. Tony didn't always guide him the best way because he expects his brothers to be able to use their own heads and make their own decisions. Chrissy did, and each time he had to tell Tone these words, over... and over.... "I'm Sorry T" and before he was able to say it one last time, Tony shut him up forever because he knew it would never stop.
