I love how you can see that each game takes some inspiration from one another. Like, the characters have their similarities because you can see the abilities fitting so well in both games.
And then, there is f*kin Yagorath.

Yag is basically bastion; switches to a stationary super strong mode that changes their primary fire and abilites.
I think you failed to take in the potential gay factor that these 2 daddies have when they're in combat. That an important ability to take in consideration when comparing them.
You're so right, I forgot that their bouncing biddies applies a distraction factor to their combat
Honestly, a lot of Mauga's kit flaws could be rectified by getting rid of cardiac overdrive and making it so his passive procs on damaging burning enemies as opposed to critting, maybe even tie it to cha cha to replace the crit effect and up the primary damage by 50% to keep the Max DPS the same. THEN replace cardiac with an ability that creates a burning AOE and causes his primaries to ignite enemies, giving him an on demand sustain ability.

Something to consider with Cardiac Overdrive is that it gives Magua a 30% damage reduction on top of the lifesteal, so it has value outside of the raw healing given by the skill.

Did you not know Mauga has damage reduction on dash? Also Raum’s cc immunity lasts for run startup only not the run itself. Not sure what that does for your verdict but You do you.
No I did not! But still, Raum has the talent that can give him DR on his dash as well
That card causes me stress trying to balance it with the points of the other cards always my problem with loadouts the point distribution. It could be good or you put too little points in and it becomes negligible. That said I like a video that doesn’t make the stats the main point of judgement between these two. I play Overwatch Tf2 and Paladins memorized every hp damage stat increase/decrease number ability weapon distances etc. Stats add too many variables and becomes just as suggestive in outcome as comparing appearance so your way of comparison seems smart. That said and should have been said earlier good video.

Your stuff looks really cool! I was admittedly drawn in by the title alone, but you really surprised me with the depth of analysis on the characters and how they play in their respective games. It’s really cool how you took the similarities between these two sister games and found a niche in it.

You should have included Ignition when talking about their in-hand weapon attacks. Also, Mauga's guns having some sort of synergy together doesn't really matter when you're effectively spamming both simultaneously, leading to a boring & braindead playstyle. I think Ignition more than makes up for it, countering Raum's long reload and ramp up time at the cost of an ability cooldown.
Hey, Raum main here! I though that it might be important to know, the overshield that he gets from soul fragments, isn’t really overshield. Instead, it acts like he has an extra health bar, that gets filled up by Soul “Armor.” If you have the damage reduction on you, you get less shield. I honestly hate the -90% healing reduction on ALL ATTACKS in the later game. It counters certain champions entirely while leaving others to absolutely dominate. Not to mention, it makes healers almost completely useless, unless if your team members all have the ability to run away and hide, until the heal reduction wears off. In any case, make Raums overshield actual shield, and he’d do great.
Yeah, it's just an extended health bar. Tbh I think it's better as that than a shield. He'd be just another Torvald then, and hard countered by wrecker.
@@LICH_REAPER but as he is now, he’s countered by every champ in the game, simply by existing. Not to mention, can’t Torvald apply shield onto allies as well? I always feel like whenever he’s around, it feels like fighting a Zarya, except the bubbles never wear off. Even with wrecker, it’s so hard to get through those orange barriers

We are forgetting that Raum's ultimate is just kind of an ability if you take one of his talents. It charges 60% faster and with how fast he already gains ult charge, Raum does kind of just spam it like an ability. To me Paladin's also has an edge in this vs particularly because they are so similar, because Paladins lets you choose how you want to play the character in many different ways to be viable, also kind of funny that Raum and Mauga are kind of both hard shut down by CC and Anti Heal, the Anti Heal being one of the many reasons they nerfed it so much for Paladins. I think Raum would've won even without the CC immunity buff, because he just feels a little more unique cause he feels built around Paladins as a game while Mauga kind of feels like he was made for a different kind of game.
Funny they both of AU in the middle of their names cause they are just... Alternate Universes of the same character.
wish you had actual gameplay of mauga and not just shots of him in the practice range and i wish the paladins gameplay wasn't blurry

Release raum was temporarily one of the most broken tanks in hero shooting history imo
You'd gain so much soul armor that you could just stand their on objective without any healers and not die, and if there was another Raum on the other team, the whole game was turned into a "who can kill the other Raum first!!"
Until koga released with his stupidly broken talents.....
I have a build for raum where he can stay alive longer with infinite ammo and more health
maugas cage is not invulnerable like you stated. it does have such an incredibly high amount of health that it is effectively invulnerable in most cases however
