I think it’s because most auditors are looking for clout/views.
It’s hard for people to think activists are doing it for the community when there is social media that helps gain followers and money.
I support auditors, but then I realized if someone were to record employees or the business that I’m working at, it would cause a defensive reaction, which is normal for a human being.
I had some guy at my work taking pictures of my female co worker, not knowing what’s going on.. he left and came back the next day and started yelling and being weird.
So I understand when public employees can be defensive, educated or not.

As a lifetime resident of Cook County (60 years) I find it quite sad how much this County has changed in as many years. People you met used to say hello, how may I help you. I know a deputy that worked there for 27 years. He sad the place had an evil darkness that he could feel and he hated even going to work. He also said that many deputies and ranks there were convicted felons and that many of his co-workers would walk away from any inmates that were beating or otherwise abusing other inmates, claiming that it's all part of their punishment. Even though they were in jail awaiting trial, not having been convicted. Sick

I've only been to Chicago once, but I loved it. It wasn't a very well planned out trip, so I missed A LOT, but still enjoyed seeing the city. I stayed in Northbrook, would follow Green Bay Rd and park my car in Evanston (I remember parking on Eastwood Ave and walking past Ryan Field to Central) and ride the L into the city. I learned very quickly to never pay for parking, stay away from I-94 and not attempt to drive into the city center (I only made that mistake once and nearly got into a wreck). I'm from a small rural town. I never once felt unsafe or threatened in any of the areas I went into. Luckily never encountered the Blue Gang.
