I work in an office that provides services to the public and is tax payer funded. Years ago there was a man who wanted to record while in the office. The front desk lady made a big deal about it. I said I would talk to him. He just wanted to submit some papers and asked if I could make a copy of them for him. I did. He thanked me and left. The front desk lady said “you know he has you recorded?” I said “what does the recording show? That I was respectful and helpful? I don’t have anything to hide”. Simple as that.
I've a feeling there are a lot of us elders supporting Sean. When my responsibilities for my disabled husband expire I plan to sacrifice myself for the future of the 'young ones'. It ought to make main stream news when significant numbers of old people get arrested and injured -- remember- it won't take much to kill us.......
She probably won't be fired. She will be "held accountable". (That usually means a reprimand at most.) Then she'll be right back to insulting anyone she dislikes.
That Sergeant clearly doesn’t want to make the same mistake as the other day but has no problem trying to act like you’re in the wrong and trying to tell you what to do. All ego at this point.
It was great when she said in front of the BLUELINER, I don't want to be filmed i dont feel safe, and the BLUELINER SAYS IM HERE YOUR SAFE, AND SEAN SAYS HIS CAMERA IS ON TO MAMMMMM, BET SHE'S MAKN 200,000 A YEAR TO, BE A SHAME TO LOSE THAT OVER SOMEONE'S CIVAL RIGHTS
It seems the sergeant learned something from their first encounter (probably the hard way), but he still wants to assert some authority over Sean so as not to show he's now fully aware of your rights. Ego makes you do monstrous things.
If I called a customer an asshole in my business, I'd be fired before I can even finish the sentence, as it should be if the person is acting like Sean. But of course public servants are exempt from repercussions.
Imagine working in a customer service role (building security), calling a member of the member of the public an "asshole" for no good reason, and still being employed.

I'm not American. I'm a Canadian immigrant. Seeing both of these countries slowly but surely losing the concepts of freedom, responsibility, fairness and respect is as disappointing as it gets.
America refers to the continent, the country is the United States. There are 23 American countries including the United States and Canada. Hence the United States constitution.

Because the training is lacking. This is what it comes down to. This should be Part of the onboarding that you get when you become a public official in one of these buildings. They should let you know that being recorded by citizens is perfectly lawful legal activity. And if they do that, just do your job effectively, don't give them any grief because they have a right to do so. If you are uncomfortable with being recorded, then I would suggest maybe you seek employment elsewhere. I know what I'm asking, but I've also been in a government official. I've worked in everything from The random nobody removing a park to now a person in an office making decisions.

It's such a giant waste of all of our tax money when the government can't do basic training with their employees about our rights. Should be the first thing they teach people who are public servants
Its not about training. they need people who are more educated, but those type of people don't want to be cops. not to mention most cops know about the constitution and what they can and cannot do legally they just don't give a fuck. that's because most people bend the knee without even thinking because they are nervous around cops...

I'm convinced that most of our government is corrupted, Nassau County is the clear representation of this, our government is not at the level of the development of our society, as if the government were led by someone else but the people. Great job Sean, we need people like you in our government.

I can assure you that all public servants are not like this. You’re doing great work bringing attention to these incredibly rude people and trying to hold them accountable. Government transparency makes for a stronger country. Keep it up brother!
Clearly not all government employees are the bad ones. I think a large majority of our society struggle when given authority. The weak feel empowered and take out their frustrations on those who they hold authority over. I've witnessed it with government employees and even just bosses etc. I'm glad you are not one of them. Help educate your fellow employees and help in anyway you can. Thank you for your service.
Shawn your actually teaching people how to file paperwork. This is an educational video for people like me with disabilities. I have panic attacks sometimes in public settings, so to see ahead to know what to expect and where to go will ease my anxieties before walking in their myself. Im sure thousands of people would agree.
As a veteran who suffers from anxiety, I agree with your assessment - it's far easier to confront what's going to happen if you're forewarned. Personally, I tend to file paperwork like this online because I don't like going into public unnecessarily. My attitude is: why would I want to leave my house? If I did, I'm forced to interact with the average person...do you know how stupid the average person is? QED.
If filing paperwork gives you anxiety, wouldn’t behaving like Sean trigger a major anxiety attack? This video is more helpful as an instruction of what NOT to do in order to minimize anxiety when dealing with government services.
@@OlYables it's not the paperwork mate, it's crowds of people. That's why I said I purposely avoid it where I can. Also, I don't have anxiety 'attacks' so much as just highly increased stress levels (which affects my behaviour negatively). But not everything is online and avoidable, in those situations if I know what it's going to be like, I won't stress. Especially if I have dabs before I go out and know what I'm in for.

As a veteran who suffers from anxiety, I agree with your assessment - it's far easier to confront what's going to happen if you're forewarned.
