Do you still run night time irrigation for your existing fescue or just these light waterings 3-4 times a day? Would that be enough also for the older grass?
No I do not run any night irrigation at this time. These 3 to 4 min waterings are plenty right now with the temps I’m having. Plus it came a huge storm a few days ago. Now if it was extremely hot then yes I may would have to do some normal irrigation
Thanks! For a rye kbg overseed whould I keep this daily routine for around 3 weeks till most of the kbg has germinated? Rye will pop really fast but I don’t t want to forget about the kbg
@vuduman3000 I would until it germinates seed can’t dry out or the main thing is the soil can’t dry out when it germinates! The seed will draw moisture from the soil but there has to be moisture in the soil when the germination happens.
@Primetime_Fescue your awesome Brad thanks so much. I know I can always count on you for a response to questions. Very few other content creators go as far as you.
@EastCoastReefer wow that's still pretty insane. I have 6 zones and I use ALOT of water in the summer months. Last September I did a full lawn renovation from bare dirt and I used so much water the water department contacted me saying that I must have a leak or something. I can't remember the exact amount of gallons I used for the month but it was somewhere around 20+ thousand gallons. Even with all that my water bill was only like $250 for month
@@Sir_Mack Haha, I got a courtesy note from the county about a possible leak as well. Yeah, it’s 8000-10,000 gallons every time I do a deep watering. I am able to see my daily usage from the county’s website and it’s pretty insane. This summer, I had to let my lawn go semi dormant because my usage got so high, and my bill was still almost $700. 🤦🏻♂️
This content is perfect for my overseeding project!!

Man you just keep posting the most useful videos ever. At the perfect timing. Thanks dude and great video brotha! 🤙
🙏
Thank you for your tips on irrigating. Timely, since we seeded in bare dirt last weekend
@@kclaytree2734 thanks for watching!
Thank you

If the seed dries, the seed dies!! Great info, Brad!!
That’s it!

Hey Brad, how long after seeding is it still safe to apply fungicides? It's only been down 2 days now so no germination yet. Love your content man!
You can apply fungicide at seeding or anywhere in between no harm whatsoever so ever
@@Primetime_Fescue what about if
it's germinating or baby grass stage?
@Sir_Mack will be fine man Propiconazole and mefenoxam both say you can spray and seed a lot of seed is coated with mefenoxam.

Do you ever spray Tenacity at all when overseeding to help with weed control?
What's the water recovery rate on your well?

@Primetime_Fescue Wow! Mine is only 5gpm so I've always been paranoid to water the yard
I live 30 miles east of Charlotte, really enjoy watching your videos!
@jamesphillipy994 I can totally understand that I wouldn’t chance it 2 sprinklers and your out of water
🙏
Ugh I gotta wait until 7 pm? Damnnnittt
It costs me $100/hour of irrigation. I wish I had well water.

@@EastCoastReefer $100 an hr!?
@@Sir_Mack I should have been clearer- an hour of watering for 11 zones costs me ~$100.

Every time you say moist I just cringe. 😆 Does anyone like that word? Unfortunately it’s the correct term in this context.
