I'm beyond jealous, all I got for finishing high school in Canada was an extremely boring 3.5 hour ceremony. Then they played Higher by Creed on the PA.
As a person of color from another country, the craziest thing is seeing mostly white kids doing the haka. Mad props to NZ for really embracing the local traditions irrespective of ancestry.
Now picture this, multiply the 2 groups by 10 and picture the two different waitaua, one on the beach with a hill that gradually elevates to a cliff side, and the other sailing in on 50-80 waka taua and them doing this right before they clash 🥶🥶🥶
