Bethlehem College Year 12 students farewell the year 13 leavers with the haka "Tika tonu". Then the leavers respond with the school haka "Tū hikitia rā"
Thats what makes New Zealand special than any other Developed country in the world...Kids know their culture and their respect for their culture and its people, the kids performing might look white but thats the culture their were bought up in, they are Pakeha but they are New Zealanders, that are kiwis....they've embrace their indigenous(Maori) culture as their own......the whole country and it's people are amazing in every way you can imagine!! Ka rawe. Kei te pai koutou. Beautiful to see more schools adopting Te ao Māori. Waimarama Pūhara (creator of tika tonu) is my tipuna (ko Ngati Kahungunu ki pakipaki toku hapu). I'm sure he would loved to have seen this.
You do realize that Native Americans still exist in the United States right? Look up In Lon Schka, and that's just the one I'm familiar with. There's plenty more in Oklahoma alone.

Saludos !!

Yes, we just need to wait until the boomers die out. They still fuel the racism, once they're gone Māori and Pākehā will get along much better 🤣
We need something like the Haka tradition inside the decadent US Public Schools. Maybe some Native American battle songs. Respect & Discipline Now!
White settlers are they sharing this with the native people culture.
I love seeing a Hakka. It always brings me to tears. It doesn’t matter what ceremony it is for, it’s so powerful
Me too!! Whay??
Walid Jalal, I am almost 61 years old yet, the Haka stirs deep emotions in my Soul. It always leaves me in tears!!

MAGIC , ABSOLUTELY MAGIC, TOTAL RESPECT TO THE YOUG GENERATION.
I have seen this kind of thing before, and I think it is fantastic. The strength and the power exhibited is very moving.
Eu sou brasileiro e amo a cultura maori.
