i am of the opinion that you cannot pick and choose parts that suit or dont suit you, like not eating kosher food for example. some call this being secular, or even go far enough as saying they are of the Abrahamic faith, but they dont adhere to certain parts of it. you cant be a part time jew, doesnt make any sense.
more or less a lifestyle choice as it does not fit in with modern norms or religion takes a back seat as it does not conforn to ones lifestyle choices which takes priority.
not aiming this at you, just an observation. i see this less in jews and muslims and on a much larger scale with christians.
question. do you pray to idols inside the synagogue or even when in your room like christians do when they pray to a jesus or mary statue?

We dnt have idols in Judaism , it is outlined in the Torah that we do not pray to idols, there are different dominations and tribes in Judaism and this means that we practice the religion and different levels some stricter some not

@@Themodernjewthere is a reason why the early monarchs in many Middle ages and many in the late Middle ages light Jews as advisors doctors and everything else because they were better than the people in their temporaries they usually they don't want to stab them in the back they have more chance of being betrayed and killed by their own people
