I find the idea of “if you can think it, you can have it” to be only PART of the equation. Positive thinking is great, because if you’re stuck in negativity, you’re on a downward spiral (as me how I know). When you CHOOSE to see all events in a positive light, you’re far less likely to slow down in your fight to achieve the thing you’re “manifesting”. Also, simply manifesting “more money” is NOT a possibility. You need to break the thought down further than that. HOW do you want that money to come to you? What ways are realistically possible? It needs to be SPECIFIC, down to the last, minute detail. Essentially, “manifesting” is simply the art of putting achievements into ACTIONABLE steps, rather than the idea of something just falling into your lap without lifting a finger to make things happen.
You will go where you are looking. It's one of the first things you learn when tracking a car. If you keep your mind looking to where you want to go you will end up there. Granted you'll still need to steer the wheel and press on the gas.
From what I've read the Law of Attraction is different to Manifesting. The latter is geared to providing the ideas and motivation for action to achieve the desired outcome. The steps vary from different presenters of this.

The problem with the Law of attraction is that a lot of people forget about other laws (rhythm, polarity, motion, correspondence, cause and effect, etc.). For instance, thinking about being rich is not enough: you have to put in the work, consider the time frame needed and more. Visualizing the ideal partner is not enough: you have to put yourself out there and do the needed work. I recommend every man wanting to get acquainted with esotericism to read the Kyballion. It's a better read than The Secret.

I have noticed a pattern amongst the so-called gentlemen in my area: most of these men are having trouble keeping a long term relationship. Their instagram is full of gentlemeny pictures and quotes but these guys are mostly single, some of them already in their 40s-50s with no kids.

Whilst driving up to the entrance I visualise a space near the entrance to the mall and 9 times out of 10 there is a single space waiting for me. Coincidence or a manifestation of my thoughts?

“Manifesting” isn’t a mystical hack on the universe. It works because once you know what your goals and ambitions are, you can direct your actions, often subconsciously, toward making those goals come true once you know what they are. Couch potatoes can’t manifest a Ferrari, but an ambitious young person may be able to as they build a career in that direction. Saying it is the universe responding to your thoughts is a poetic description aimed at people who have a hard time dealing with cause and effect very well and who can’t comprehend the impact subtle changes can have on complex systems.
After high school everyone is an apprentice for a long time. This is not a concept many people understand anymore and few want to accept. Most just presume they should be automatically respected and rewarded.
People have been doing something like this for centuries or longer. “Manifesting” isn’t new. It requires ambition, hard work and persistence as well as realistic goals.
