Nuclear is absolutely NOT a renewable source of power what on earth are you talking about. Fusion requires so little fuel that it's impact is negligible; but fission (the only form that we actually know to be possible on Earth) requires extremely environmentally disruptive mining. Still vastly better than coal, oil, or natural gas, but in no way "renewable." On that point, even the rare minerals needed for solar panels make them, ironically, a bad choice for solarpunk
Nuclear power is not renewable. It is based on Uranium wich you have to dig up from the ground. And you will get a lot of dangerous nuclear waste, what is really against solar punk. Fusion is also not renewable, but at least it doesn't create much waste, if any, so this could work with solar punk
The amount of city builds popping up recently is amazing and this is one of the best! Keep it up. I subbed. Love cities and I just learnt a new style that I love
Very cool. I ve been into solar punk in minecraft for awhile however my vision for it is a bit different. Really dig this project tho. Oh and yah more realistic large solar panel design was also surprisingly tough. At the time I came up with my design didn't have skulk, might have to go back and try that out.
Absolutely stunning!! instant sub😎 And the timing here is crazy because I'm also putting out a Solarpunk City that I've been working on for a long time. It's such a beautiful style with so many different directions it can go. I'm glad to see it getting more popular.
Maybe you could add hydro energy? Maybe not Dams but instead those floating structures that measure the intensity of the waves and convert it into energy…
I didn't like the idea of dams either, didn't think about the tidal generators though. From what ive seen they arent that efficient but we can get a *technobabble* handwave with that. Great idea!
Bro that looks AMAZING !!!!!! I love the little stairs buildings, and the residential area and what you did with the windmills in the midle, and the city by itself, it's incredible ! And the interiors too. And don't worry, the vehicules are nice, I find it quite difficult to build them and make it not look like a blob of cubes...
Wow super cool build! The one constructive criticism I'd mention is it felt a bit intensive on world edit and copy/paste - I think it would have looked even cooler if there were some more variety of buildings and some more natural buildings (as in entirely or partially hand built). That’s not to take away from the build though, it’s amazing! 10 times better than anything I could’ve made and I can tell you put a ton of effort into it, earned my subscription
I would’ve guessed a video like this would have hundreds of thousands of views! Amazing and keep it up! What if you got together a team of your friends and other builders to detail every single part of it? I think it’d be a lot more immersive that way.
bro great video and quality. Try using shaders with the Timelapse's and removing the flat world and village as they distract a bit from the important stuff. And maybe try matching the footage with the video a bit more. I couldnt do it better myself but these are my suggestions. But even without them your Video was REALLY good. Keep up the good work!
@@fynn_gg. yea I’m still working on the video quality. With replaymod I can get it pretty good but I still need to use things like shaders very minimally. With the long timelapse footage shaders tends to crash my computer lmao. Also I made the map in a way where there is always a mountain or a ‘wall’ of trees so you can’t see the super flat outside of the map.
I wish there was a way to add more windows to the tall buildings since they would realistically need it. But let's say the wall panels are windows but from the outside it looks solid. Excellent for privacy. 😉Also, this is so beautiful. I love all the buildings and the landscaping. Is this supposed to be a completely self-sustaining city?
I'm building a 1.19.2 world that i would love to add this to or at least some of tyhe builds from it. I would love to use Create to make the living capsule units functional and mobile
I honestly think that solarpunk is the future, but only with socialism or communism, capitalism needs to be overproductive and wealth, so it creates demands towards marketing, but Solarpunk isn't overproductive or incredibly expensive, it's based on the needs for machinery, productivity and human needs..
Naw fam socialism ain’t the way, mixed economy has always been the only effective economic system. Need to leverage the incentives in capitalism while trying to avoid some of its pitfalls. Unless you get an incredible AI command economies are never going to be efficient enough to properly manage a market.
@@woddenbukkit1016 Brazil did mixed economy, I live here and I can say with certainty that this way isn't a good one. I see China growing day by day, during the socialist government, centralized planning
Those buildings are unrealistic asf tho, who would climb there and clean the plants? There would be rats and bugs in the higher floors, and the windows? Oh, your vision would be ABSOLUTE GARBAGE! WHAT IF A TREE FALLS DOWN ON THE ROAD? THE PLANTS SHOULD BE ON THE FLOOR! NOT ON A 800 METER TALL SKYSCRAPER1!!1! AJSJDKWKSSWJUSKSK

@@DaPuffinMC Great to hear! I love her videos, the style and research she does on a psychological standpoint etc.! It is sooo good. Great Building too! ;)
nuclear doesnt take away from solarpunk at all. its a renewable source of power, and fusion at least is mimicking stars
Nuclear power is basically the bane of greedy corporations, so even more of a good addition to this city
I personally think it wil be the future of energy production
That is fair. We’ll say it’s a fusion reactor. Those are just better anyways

What about trams?
Public transport using Create and Create: Steam n Rails would do really great in a build like this. Awesome work!
The city looks like an Halo map! Good job on this video Pufin. Really cool project. I enjoyed it ❤
Thanks gray!
Strongest fossil fuels fan vs weakest renewables and nuclear enjoyer.
Weakest renewables and nuclear enjoyer wins 100%
Great video Puffin! And that build is awesome!!
