Thank you for being part of my support team. You videos do just that. From one mama to another. Love all your videos. They have helped me so much after I became a mom, wife, and home owner in a short period.

Ideas about micro mini kitchen space
So inspiring!
Julie my girl, you are in my head! For all of my adult life I have re-purposed items for economic reasons when no one else did. I get lots of compliments but all I can see is a poor person's painted thrift-flip attempt to look like something expensive that I really wanted. Before phones with camera's I'd quickly sketch plans out while in the store. And now it's popular to flip AND the best designer Julie 🤩 even does it, so I no longer feel self-negativity about it. I too scrutinize every room. I am obsessed with anything decor. I read and watch anything decor. It gives me such pleasure. I'm constantly thinking of ideas, then keep a list (incl color swatches if needed) in my purse of items I've narrowed it down to for a certain space so I'll have it on my radar along with measurements/color. Then if I come across something at a store, a thrift shop, or a garage sale, I know it will be an exact fit or color-coordinate. I have felt pads on all my furniture and you're right about the peel-off type. Somehow the pads always slide half off, yet I have to use pliers to try to remove them. Go figure! Being in an apartment I think of noisy neighbors ALL the time so laughed at your comment. I felt like a guilty thief trying to hurry and paint a couple of items outside once when I thought no one would be gawking 👀. I thought it was just me since I have no private yard. A tip I learned a long time ago with old tight fitting drawers (no, not that kind 🩲) is to rub a bar of soap 🧼 on them so they'll glide and not stick.
I’ve used an entire bar of soap on that slide plus WD40, the soft close is so much more effective 😅 thank you for watching and supporting the channel!! (And my design choices 🙌💖)
Stumbled upon this video and it's fantastic. The projects are easy to follow, and the best part is they don't cost a fortune. Now my home feels more stylish, thanks to these simple and budget-friendly ideas.
Thank you for watching Edward! My goal is to inspire you to tackle those little to-do’s so your home feels a bit more polished 🙌🏻✨
WOOW! it offered a refreshing take on affordable home improvement and I loved how your creative projects added a touch of style without breaking the bank. I can't wait to try some of these hacks in my own home.
With my handy dandy tool tower, the DIY tasks are such a cinch 👏🏻
Hi Julie!! Our house is currently being built. I have been binge watching all of your content and getting amazing tips! I cant wait to go home and start filling up our home with our story. Thank you and keep it up! ❤❤❤
Congratulations Grace! What an exciting journey ahead! Let me know what videos I can help you with 🙏😊
Good Idea on the painters tape for the gallery wall
It’s such an easy hack and gets that nail spot right every time 👍☺️
I do the same with a note app on my phone, and its broken down by room. I have a note for the garden tasks, too. WOW, great idea for the gallery wall. Genius!!! Thanks Julie!
Need to stay on top of the to-do list 🙌
Hey Julie, yet again, a great share! There are several DIYs waiting on my To-Do list that I can't wait to get to, one includes the new knobs for the kitchen cabinets, but I wonder if I should wait to paint them first, what are your thoughts? Thanks, girl, you rock!
Try spray paint first and see if you can give them a quick facelift. Remember the top coat sealer or else the paint will chip Geri!
Wow! Love this DIY hacks. Thanks for sharing. This is a very helpful video
Glad it was helpful Cynthia! Thank you for watching 🙏🏻💝
Love this!!! Great topic. ❤❤
Thank you for watching Melissa 🙏☺️
Loved these great tips!! Inspiring 😊

Nice tips! 😊
Thank you for watching 🙏☺️
how to patch holes and what if the piece is heave and I live alone
You saw me patching that 4” hole and smaller, I linked the items used in the description box. For larger holes or heavier items, you can try task rabbit to help you find a verified handyman
I love my noisy neighbors lol
😅
That gallery wall painter's tape trick is LIFE-CHANGING! What a brilliant idea!
I wished I knew about it earlier in my career! 😅
Great tip about the super glue on the felt pads. They always fall off!
Took me a few chairs for the light bulb to switch on 😆💡👏
Julie, the scarf idea just brilliant
After learning how to use the drill my life changed 😂😂 holes everywhere 😂😂
Just love your ideas ❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing
Haha that’s where the “patching small holes” section comes in handy 😂🙌
@@JulieKhuu so true 🫣🫣 I just love DIY, loads of plants hanging from the ceiling, I love this type of videos 😘😘😘
This was exactly what I needed. As an empty nester , there are so many projects. We are transitioning our (near the beach) home into a place where our adult kids can come with their families. Lots to do~ thanks for the great tips, tricks and ideas. I love this channel 👏
Check out the video on what’s in my tool box Lia! A small arsenal of supplies that gets the job done 🙌
I hung a tension rod in my shower behind the shower curtain above head height. That’s where the wet towels are hung. That way they are hidden.
That’s genius!! 🙌
Love this! Thank you! Really inspiring and right on time for spring! 💖🙌🏽
Thank you for watching! 🙏💖
As a designer and avid DIY designer myself I've tackled any kinds of projects, and learn many new skills. The ones that I've yet to tackle though are anything electrical or plumbing. Good to see you were able to change your plumbing fixtures in your restroom. I would love to learn more about how to do that, as well as replacing light fixtures.
I can do both with very basic needs, a few simple RUclips tutorials helped immensely 😉
Loved the towel bar tip! That's the one I need to tackle first!
I found myself annoyed every time I placed the towel back on the too small bar 😅
Forgot to add: I have been planning on hanging a gallery wall for months. All the supplies and sitting in the corner and ready. But I was intimidated about getting it straight and level. Thanks for your great tip! I will do THIS project ASAP.
Measure from the floor Maureen! Usually ceiling heights aren’t super straight, therefore unreliable
Such great ideas in this video. I would only suggest that every adult in the house do their own laundry 😂. I have been married to my husband for 31 years and have never done his laundry which has helped keep the harmony in our relationship.😊
Haha well my husband cooks and does all the dishes so I gotta help out somehow 😆
I stumbled upon this video and was pleasantly surprised by her innovative home improvement tips. Its charismatic presentation style and practical hacks had me itching to start my own budget-friendly DIY projects. Thanks a lot.
Yay, hope this motivates you to tackle those little (looming) to-dos Tatiana! 🙌☺️
I stumbled upon Julie Khuu's video and was pleasantly surprised by the practical and innovative home improvement ideas she shared. Very clear explanations and the budget-conscious approach have motivated me to tackle various projects around my home.
Thank you so much Dan! Hope to see you back sometime 🙏🏻☺️
Baking soda, water, and an old paint brush??? How does that work to paint brass??? Doesn't make sense at all. my thoughts exactly. i think u mixed white paint into baking soda right??
Yes, mix any paint you have. I’ve used acrylic, latex, and chalk paint with different outcomes. They all work 👍
I appreciate the inspiration. This completely changes the game for my home renovation initiatives.
Awesome, thanks for watching!!🙏☺️
Thanks for the motivation! I recently redid my guest bath because of your video and it came out marvelous! This weekend it’s finally warming up and I’m refreshing my patio starting now with purchasing my new patio table tablecloth with an umbrella hole that I’ve procrastinated forever on!
That’s so awesome! I’d love to see your before and after 😍 Send on IG if you can
Hi...Love your video...Just subscribed :) In the video you said you could refinish a lamp with baking soda and water...So you don't need to add that to paint??...It's just baking soda and water??...If so, how do I measure that out??... I mean is it like one part baking soda and one part water or two parts baking soda and one part water, etc.??...Thank you for your time...Take care...
I noticed that too. I think that you add 2 parts water-based paint like latex or acrylic and then 1 part baking soda, and then just enough water to counteract the dryness introduced by the baking soda -- to bring it back to the consistency of the paint you started with. I'm sure that you can err a bit on either side and will just get different textures and effects. 🙂
Add baking soda in the paint. Dilute with a bit of water for lighter texture. Start with just a small teaspoon of baking soda mixed with 1 cup of interior latex water-based paint. Check out the full length video called DIY Ceramic lamp
The DIY hacks are like magic tricks for your home! Transform basic items into stylish upgrades with simple materials and clear instructions. Plus, budget-friendly approach means you can impress without breaking the bank.
Thanks for sharing simple and practical DIY home hacks that are perfect for improving your living space on a budget, making it accessible for everyone.
I've got pictures to hang by Saturday!
🙌 that blank wall needs you Martha!
This workout routine is exactly what I needed to get motivated again. Feeling pumped!
I’m painting my wicker porch chairs a beautiful blue!
Ooh the perfect spring hue! 💙
Love all your tips. My favs were how you organize accessories and having a place for your tools in your house and not the garage. Loved that you used a cute decorative tower for your tools. I’m like you in that I like to tackle projects today! Thanks for sharing! Would love to see more organizing videos!
There is not one day that I don’t do a little something for the house. It makes so much more sense to have these tools handy so I get to it immediately 🙌
I’m determined to hang art! I’ve done it before, but for some reason, I’m feeling intimidated because I have to add hangers to the frame. Seriously! The frame is super cheap, so if I ruin it, it’s really not a big deal. I do feel I overpaid for it considering it isn’t actually wood…it’s some weird crumbly stuff…so I guess I feel I need to get my money’s worth??? Of course with it leaning on the wall, I’m not getting any worth out of it anyway! This weekend it is!
It’s worth it to pay a bit more for the frame with built in hardware. One less thing to worry about. You got this Jeanne-Marie! 🙌
@@JulieKhuu Thank you for your encouragement. The picture is hung! I put the hangers in the old frame,( still on the hunt at Goodwill for a more substantial frame … this one seems smaller than it appeared, when it was causing me so much angst! I expected it to be larger than life!), and then used a Go Hang It system which was super easy. When I get the new frame, I will replace the nails that came with the kit, and use a more durable anchor. I can’t thank you enough! I feel so empowered
Love this content!👍🏼 Thanks!
Thank you for watching 🙏☺️
I recently came across you on RUclips and you are so inspiring.... I'm a bit ocd as well....100% a fan of you. I'm in South Australia.... cheers🇦🇺🙏⚘️❤️ btw take care darling. Be safe & be happy!

This was just what I required. There are a ton of projects to manage as an empty nester. Our goal is to turn our beachfront house into a destination that our grown children may visit with their families. Lots to do~ I appreciate your wonderful advice, thoughts, and insights. I adore this network.
Thank you so much for watching! 🙏🏻☺️🩷
This completely changes the game for my home renovation initiatives. Your DIY tips are not only wonderfully inventive but also simple to implement.
Thank you for watching and sharing feedback Markus 🙏☺️
i have a lot i would like to get to, but im lazy 😛...i wish i had your drive, julie! as per the picture gallery, i would just suggest using a level when hanging the painter's tape and before drilling into the wall.
Yes, a leveler is a must-have in my toolbox!
Great video! Thanks for the tips and how to’s. Btw, I love your lipstick! Can you please share what the brand and color is?
Lime crime pink velvet 💄
Hi Julie! Loved this video. Thank you for sharing. I have been thinking how to put a curtain to my garage doors so that when we open it neighbors can’t see what we have on our garage. Have you done one before?
Yes, I just did this in my garage makeover video. Check it out!
To fix cabinet drawer in hubby’s closet that is bane of your existence…let him put away his clothes, even do his own laundry
Well, he cooks, he cleans, does the dishes, and takes out the trash. I need to earn my keep somehow right?! 😂
Very informative, this is really a practical and budget-friendly home improvement ideas.
Glad it was helpful Rone, thank you for watching 🙏🏻☺️
Hey Julie. I’m thinking about painting my bathroom, cabinets and countertops. It’s not in my budget to replace them. Any input as to what type of paint I should use and how to seal them? Thanks again for all your videos.
Bathroom cabinets can be sanded, primed, and spray lacquered with latex paint or you can also use oil- based paint but it takes forever to dry and it smells. Definitely not good for a household with kids since it takes a few days to aerate. Countertops can be painted with epoxy- I don’t recommend it since it chips, but if you’re just looking for a quick facelift/ not permanent, I would do a quick RUclips tutorial search for tips and tricks!
I really need to hang up some pictures. Thanks for the inspo & breaking it down to being an attainable project!🖤
Tackle one wall at a time 🙌
If spray painting outdoors, make sure your neighbour's car isn't nearby
Haha that too
"brackets go first, rods goes after that, then the curtain panels." well, I think I know where I went wrong now!
Awesome! It’s the same order of steps each time so get your tools ready for the job
Good tips!
Thank you for watching Kit! 🙏💖
I have all my jewelry on display in a Billy bookcase. I applied patterned cloth to the back with starch.
Fun! I have to try that for my new dining room hutch! 😍
Along with learning more about how to replace light fixtures, I would love to find out how to do that.
Yes! That’s coming up, I have quite a few fixtures to address💡
Hi Julie..a friend told me long ago find the piece you like and if the color is wrong paint it lol my rule of thumb now
Everyone needs a friend like you in there lives..thank you for inspiring us to do better with home projects 👍🙂
What a can of spray paint can accomplish Maria! 🙌☺️💖
Inspiring as always Julie! Thank you😊
Thanks so much! 💖☺️
Julie, how do you use anchors with those picture hangers? The nails are too slim to fit in wall anchor!
There’s an anchor for every time of screw, look for the set when purchasing. If you’re using something thinner like a nail, try steel super hooks that secure behind the drywall. Usually these frames are so lightweight, anchors/ studs aren’t necessary
This home improvement hacks are a revelation for someone like me who's always on a budget. The video's practical tip have completely changed the way I approach DIY projects in my home!
I would like. A video on stenciling a foor in bathroom
It’s on the channel now Karen. Under bathrooms/ DIY playlist
Love this content! Thank you for all the great tips!
Thank you for watching 💖🙏
love from Pakistan 🇵🇰 ♥ ❤ 😍 💕 💖

Where would I locate the wood-looking wallpaper used on the ceiling? That's such a great idea!
It’s bamboo. Linked in my guest bathroom makeover video 😊
@@JulieKhuu
Thank you! Do you have favored sources for wallpapers?
The hanging necklaces look great, and the scarves.
Thank you Megan! My daughters love to play with them as well 😅
Love this video! Great suggestions!
Thank you for watching 💗🙏
The budget-friendly home improvement projects are surprisingly doable - never thought making my home look better could be this simple. It's like a DIY handbook that finally makes stylish home upgrades achievable for us regular folks!
That was exactly my point Virginia! I hope to empower beginner DIYers with this video 🤗
Wow, perfect for DIY enthusiasts and budget-conscious homeowners seeking to transform their homes with creativity and flair.
Thank you Carlos! Hope these tips make decorating your home that much easier 👍☺️
where do you buy the felt for the furniture
I linked all the materials used in the description box Ann, check it out 👍💖
I adore your advice. My favorites were the way you arranged your accessories and having a spot in your home rather than the garage for your tools. I liked how you stored your instruments in a cute beautiful tower. Like you, I enjoy taking on assignments right now. I appreciate you sharing! I'd love to see more videos about organizing!
Thank you for watching! I have an entire playlist dedicated to storage and organization, check them out! 👍☺️
Great ideas, Julie!! I’ve completed some of these DIY projects with previous videos of yours. Thanks!
Woohoo!! You’re awesome Bruno 🙌
This was exactly what I needed
Thank you for watching 🙏☺️
I felt like you were reading from my own list!! Spray painting, curtains up, pictures and galleries up! Small dopamine hits every time. On your list of tasks, do you delete the ones you’ve completed or strike through? I strike through or photo log and often surprise myself at how much hard work I’ve done, major accomplishments, that I’ve kind of forgotten about over time. It’s validation of our diy progress, and energizing to remember the accomplishments!! Great video Julie!
I delete them to make way for the new Barbara or else I’d have an entire book of done DIYs 😆🙌 You’re absolutely right, it’s like a sugar rush! Lol
yes! I love the DIY projects. although I may never get to them, I feel good knowing that perhaps some day I will do them! LOL
One at a time, you’ll gain momentum that way 🙌
Julie I love this video. I’m like you I’ve become very handy doing things myself, mostly because handymen would quote me outrageous prices. I have a mirrored wall with a window I would like to put a curtain rod with curtains of course on the mirror do you have any tips where I won’t crack the mirror? Take care ❤
I don’t make any mirror holes without a professional glass vendor Debbie. They have a special tool that drills through glass for this purpose. I wouldn’t trust myself to do it 😅
I am like you, have tons of scarves that I have folded in a drawer since I don't have a space or place like you do...but that is a good idea . Thanks for all the DIY tips.
Best part about it is no holes in the walls Lydia! 👍
It's nice to see an interior designer state that towel bars must be long enough to hang the full width of your towels. Function has to supersede form in some cases because nobody wants mildew!
I was dealing with scrunchy towels for too long!
Thank you sweetheart ❤
Thank you for watching Moira 🙏☺️
I'm so stinking inspired
Best compliment ever!! 🙌
Great, thank you
Thank you for watching 🙏☺️
See I know to do some of these things and sometimes do them but with being a mom and wife like you said can be difficult sometimes. I sometimes need a reminder on what I should be doing to facilitate my life. I love doing home improvement and Miss having the time to randomly take on assignments. Believe it or not your videos are part of my support team. So thank you so much for your videos.
Aw I love that, I got you mama! My iPhone notes list helps immensely to keep me focused 🙌
Your videos inspire me. Thanks hon. The picture hanging will be a life saver. 😊
Hope you get to some home projects with confidence Jessica! 🙌
Now I have more ideas to do!! Lol 😅. Thanks for the inspirations, great video
Haha design is never done! 😅
Thank you for such a useful video! I shouldn’t wait for my husband to do all these small jobs.
