Symbolism is also important in Feng Shui. The gold torso that you removed is unlucky, in my opinion. This is because it is "headless" (mindless, soul-less) and not whole. Imagine the Buddha without a head! You intuitively created a better arrangement without it.🎉

Like your student, I too graduated from Design school and have been stuck in a rut. However, I'm also recovering from surgery and have been meaning to update my space (i.e. declutter, refresh, etc.). I've also been trying to envision the space completed with functional items that I know I will use on a regular basis while I work on my plans. Stay blessed.

Nice makeup. Very subtle. I like the makeup suggestions. Could use that! I’m wondering about all these spf foundations with benzene in them. Great coverage but it’s real poison. Julie! All your Feng Shui videos are really close to my heart! ❤ Please if you see this can you answer these questions? The entrance of my home is on the north side, I love the beach 🏖️ I hang a piece of art with a mountain and a beach, the waves hit the shore, you can see the movement; and some feng shui master told me I have to take it away. That I can only use images of resting and peaceful water, without movement & without the shore. Is that correct? And the other question, is about my room, also the main room of the house, situated in the south east. I really like candles but this person told me that I shouldn't use candles in my room because fire burns the wood element & in consequence the prosperity. Actually I was told that i'm only allowed to use candles on the fire section of my house in order to activate this element. What do you think? This sounds to me a little bit radical. Thanks in advanced! Big 🤗
If the water scene is on the north wall of your bedroom, then I agree with your Feng Shui master. That active yang ocean is too much energy for a yin place of rest. But if that art piece is in a common area on the north wall like the living room or kitchen, then it’s auspicious 👍 Follow the compass direction for elements and colors. Fire should be relegated to the south side of the home/room, but doesn’t mean you can’t light candles elsewhere. Just be cautious of the amount and what you are trying to achieve with each element. The more I researched Feng Shui, the more it stressed me out because my house is technically not good based on the Feng Shui aspect. There are some things I can try to improve the negative energy, but there are so many things that I can not do anything about. According to the Feng Shui Research, it can bring bad luck and even illness to my family and me. Please give me your opinion about open house concepts and whether I should be worried. I watched another feng shui designer who really advised people not to use antique furniture because of karma. But then she said well if you reupholster or re fresh it then it’s ok. I have many items from curbside finds. I refinished all of them to make them mine. It’s my way of dealing with the karma. I guess that’s what Julie does too. She has a lot of re purposed furnishings. I like to think that it’s not the chairs fault it was owned by a sinner why take it out on the chair? 🤔

I love the design of windsor chairs where i want to repaint them in black. Im just wondering if i can put the furniture on my new house. Where can I get guidance on an open plan apartment over our son's workshop? It's on a NE to SW axis, with the front door opening on the SW and the living area on the NE wall. It has four large dormers: kitchen and laundry/bath facing SE and two bedrooms facing NW. The plumbing for the bath and laundry are all near the south corner, not exactly conducive to the fire element (although we do have a sauna in the bathroom). Can you recommend a good book or video that addresses these oddball situations?

I am in an open concept apartment. I have sectioned off a small space for the living room (a couch is the "wall") and the rest of the space is the dining room and kitchen. My question is: should the Bagua map guide the entire space, or guide the separate "rooms" that are not really separate rooms except in my mind?
It’s a common question Janice and my answer may confuse you even further lol (I hope not)😅 You can do either or both. For example, when I overlay the bagua map onto my entire open concept home, my office sits in the SE sector of the home. Which is why I fill it with plants that correspond to that sector. From this video, you have also seen me divide this home office into 9 zones and again used the bagua map to promote different sectors. So I’ve done both with great success. My advice is to key into what you desire first (greater health/wealth/love/career etc) then isolate those sectors to help promote the colors and corresponding elements.

I’ve watched all of you Feng Shui videos (as well as some of the other ones) but I’m confused. When I took the compass reading at my front door it faces southeast. How do I position the Baqua map in this case? I’m going to be moving into a small 1 bedroom retirement cottage so I’ll be starting sort of from scratch. I also wasn’t sure if I should do the whole unit as one or separate the spaces. My livings room and kitchen connect. The fact that it faces southeast instead of true south is really making it hard for me to know what to do. Thanks for any help you can give to point me in the right direction.
1. Sketch out your entire home’s floor plan. 2. Mark out all the different rooms 3. Take compass directions at your front door (from inside looking out) 4. Since your front door is SE, mark SE at the front door. Then input all the other 7 directions on your home’s floor plan (N/NE/E/S/SW/W/NW) 5. You will have missing corners because your home sits on a diagonal 6. Finally- reference the bagua map and corresponding elements/colors to overlay on the entire home and/or a specific room Let me know if you have any additional questions. Thanks for watching love! 💗

Hi July I am level zero in Bagua Map and was watching your videos and I have a question about the general Bagua Map and individual Bagua Map. How do you proceed if there is a conflict between them. One more question- I did my number by you and by a google Chinese website and totally different numbers Are there more than one way of doing your Bagua number 😵💫😵💫😵💫❤️❤️🤷♀️
Watch my Kua number video for a refresher. This is the formula I have been following so not sure what you have found online Ho. Typically, when there’s a conflict to resolve, choose the sector that you wish to amplify more/first. Usually we prioritize one desire, make some moves, record the energy, then move onto the next so each conflict gets resolved independently. Hope that helps!
Julie, I don't know what is more important: A room or the whole flat? Because if I style every room feng-shui wise with the zones, it is easy. But if I have to take the whole baguaplan of the flat, then the zones are totally different, because larger and in different areas. I hope you understand.....🥴
I DO understand. That was my plight as well before I started embarking on my practice. I didn’t want to get it wrong, but once I understood that I had the flexibility (and power) to apply the bagua map to a single room OR whole house, my perspective shifted. Consider it an experiment and try to isolate zones that you wish to prioritize FIRST Susanne. Then energize those corners and note how you feel ✨

@@JulieKhuu This might be something you could consider doing on one of your videos. There are probably other people who are novices at Feng Shui with a home or room that doesn’t face exactly N, S, E, or W. It is easier to understand what to do seeing it explained visually

Watch my Kua number video for a refresher. This is the formula I have been following so not sure what you have found online Ho. Typically, when there’s a conflict to resolve, choose the sector that you wish to amplify more/first. Usually we prioritize one desire, make some moves, record the energy, then move onto the next so each conflict gets resolved independently. Hope that helps!
Julie, I don't know what is more important: A room or the whole flat? Because if I style every room feng-shui wise with the zones, it is easy. But if I have to take the whole baguaplan of the flat, then the zones are totally different, because larger and in different areas. I hope you understand.....🥴
I DO understand. That was my plight as well before I started embarking on my practice. I didn’t want to get it wrong, but once I understood that I had the flexibility (and power) to apply the bagua map to a single room OR whole house, my perspective shifted. Consider it an experiment and try to isolate zones that you wish to prioritize FIRST Susanne. Then energize those corners and note how you feel ✨
