Love your channel and a non-US/UK perspective. One of my favourite watches is my OG Oris Big Crown Pointer Date. It's a gent's 32mm (!) two tone straight out of the 80s. Neo-vintage par excellence. I love that Oris is keeping the pointer date going as a line though I prefer the more dressy vintage ones than the more modern pilot-ish examples. I'm also not a fan of their move to in-house movements. I have and wear vintage watches from the 30s to 90s and in-house movements are an absolute nightmare because none of the companies supply parts even if they're still in business today (with the possible exception of Patek Philippe, but I don't have any of them!). Whereas you can still easily find parts for ETA or A. Schild movements from the 50s onward as they were so generic and used in so many watches. This leads me to seek out watches with generic movements, so I'm very happy that my beloved Oris has an ETA 2671 as I know parts will be no problem and it will last a lifetime. Knowing that makes me smile!
A lot of people nowadays are demanding in-house movements once the price hits a certain mark, which forces the brands to invest into going in-house or risk being stamped as over-priced money grabbers. What I like about Oris is that their in-house movements offer something beyond just decoration, but incredible performance that can't be matched at their price. But I do understand your point. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your kind words! ☺
Love Oris, have Oris. Thank you for a great talk!
Thanks man!!
Oris is amazing brand. I have Aquis II and I love this watch

I have Rolex, Omega, Tudor and Oris,.... ORIS is the only one that gets compliments from other people!
I can imagine. Oris indeed has quite a strong design identity.
Hi, Which Oris model is this?
Oris is now what Rolex use to be.
I used to love the previous rectangle model comparing to the current model
Hope they bring those back. They're also missing a lot of chronographs within their current catalogue.
Wow Oris people😂
Welcome to my hot country! 😂
Damn hot! 😆
