Thank you! That was super helpful to hear the beats side-by-side by these various looper pedals.

And thank you! I did a little Sudoku type matrix when arranging the recordings so that you wouldn't always here the same loopers against each other to make the comparisons better.

Thank You for this video. I allready ordered Mooer GL100. Decided it over Valeton, because of more coinvient and user friendly controls. Also, thanks To yous previous video on Mooer, I found that Mooer drums sound better than on Valeton. (I think the best drum sound has BossRC10R, what is not in this video). The value for Mooer GL100 and Valeton, over others, is possibility to have two different loops, and okay them in sequence (meaning versa and chorus). This is really step forward from simpler one track looper. And much coinvient for live performance.

i’ll have to watch it again a couple more times…but.. the Valeton holds up pretty well. it is such a good pedal for the money.
i really hope they implement good upgrades, through the firmware , cos the potential is there.
The Boss holds as my #1, for what it offers presently..but it is 55€ more expensive..it’s got no headphone out.. :/ , AND it’s not as superior on the Drum sounds as i expected. it actually loses in some of those sounds, imo.
The GL100 had a few really good drum tones, and a grooves.. but really awful, on others, as the older Mooer, with the NuX lagging behind on almost all of them.
the surprise, for me, was the Donner, which i thought was pretty weak but actually has a few pretty decent drum sounds.
all in all, one can’t get a bad pedal, here..
it’s just a matter of comparing them against what one needs the most.
and the review is pretty fair and thorough man, congrats, and thanks very much.
    ;)

I have used Moore's loopers (built in guitar multiFX), an agree they can be awful sometimes. I also did not liked MOOER sound of drums (kind of synthetic and too crisp). But in late GL100 it sounds much better. The Valeton's sound where significant less reverb than others, - it sounded more dry like in room or small studio. And sounded really cool. That could be more versital in different sou d systems.

Thank you. For this video I did my best to stick to the first rhythm in a given genre. There are likely beats that would match up better against each other, but that would have taken another month (at least) to produce this video.

when u can, IF .. u can.. pls do a more in depth video, on the Valeton vs the Boss and the GL100, which are, to me, my main contenders.
You will see, in the Valeton, the last drum patterns ( ~95th to 99th ) are the ones with odd time signatures. there’s a 5, a 7 , and a 3/4, if i recall.
    I emailed Mooer and….crickets .
They’ve got pretty cool products, namely the Prime P2, amongst others.. but ,
Valeton, at least, took the time to reply me.
that move alone, would steer me towards their brand, to put it simply.
I’m sort of..rooting for them ..cos they’re the underdog, at least compared with Boss, which is ubiquitous. that translates as _ u can never go wrong with them..and one can find a bunch of their stuff, 2nd hand.
in the end, as soon as i get the dough.. i’m going with a NuX Mighty Plug Pro, and the RC-5 . i’ll probably sell the Boss later, and get the Valeton, if they do a good job with the firmware update(s).
that will be my Go-To setup for recording and saving ideas, that later migrate to the DAW.
    thanks again ;)

I don't know if I will get to a 3-way between the GL100, RC-5, and VLP200, but the later two will have videos this year, with the VLP200 being the next video for this channel.

@ yes, u had told me about the Valeton being the next video.
yes, i will be standing by. this was very comprehensive, man. u did a good job, and i am looking forward to see the VLP-200 VS. RC-5 comparison .. They really seem to be the main contenders, here. at least imo.
have you checked out the new Sonicake Pocket Master ??
it’s a step below these, in sound quality and ADA conversion…but it is $65 (!) , and pretty pocketable, in deed. :P .
      thanks again.

The Pocket Master reminds me of the old Korg Pandora devices. Not really something of interest for what I do, but thanks for the heads up.

You will see more about the VLP200. However I will not be doing a video for all the rhythm tracks.

Easier to analyze the different grooves played at 0.7x playback speed...
