    I have both and ride both (and love both!). On days when I touch down often (either learning certain tricks or light wind) I like the Jazz. It seems more beefy too for easier starts. For carving I prefer the Slice. Narrower and tends to like being ridden rail to rail. Jazz likes to be ridden flat. To be honest I love having both! I'd get the Slice for carving and speed. I'd get the Jazz for freestyle. Or just get both!

    Could you make a videos comparing these two to the Skipper Wing board? And possibly with the Skipper DW from a winging perspective.

      Good question and a good idea. We will include it in our future Tech Talks!

    Hi, it will be great if you teach us about the new DW boards for winging

      Hi! Thanks for the great question! Sam (Appletree rep for North America and avid DW/wing foiler) will explain more about this in a new video soon.

    I'm interested in either of these in 60L +/-. Leaning towards the slice. However, I'm concerned with the foil box position for use with an Axis foil. I'm currently riding a 2022 Fanatic Sky Wing 85L and I had a problem where I could not get the foil far back enough. I had to order a shorter fuselage and change the stabilizer to a smaller one to make it work with that board. I'm trying to avoid having this same problem for my next board.

      @@appletreesurfboards Hi, I just connected with Wieger via email today. I think I might have posted this comment here while I was researching. Thanks. We've got the conversation going over there.

      I just demoed a 70L slice v2, and I found I wanted the Axis 90cm mast rather forward! It was sort of 3/4's in the tracks forwards, but I would have liked it pushed forward even more.. Just fwiw

      @@greg.ocallaghan That's very interesting and good to know. Thing is that some shops in the US, specially those that sell Armstrong, ordered there Slices and Jazzes with boxes further forward than stock. So you would need to know what you were riding. I think both of those boards will work well on Axis, but with their stock boxes. I'm pending to order a Jazz, but I'm waiting a little bit as I'm trying to decide on a prone board first. I've been debating between a 38-ish liter prone and a 60L Jazz... But I've been contemplating doing both on a 40L SliceV2.

      @@DannyCruzCreations Alright, I didn't know they did different production runs, some with boxes further forward. Sounds a bit odd, but I'm sure Wieger or Jorrit (Appletree founders) can elaborate and let you know what you need 🤙

    Could you add an image of the 2 bottoms side-to-side. Makes it easier to see the differences and foilbox placement. Seems like the bottom platform of the Jazz has more parallel outline compared to the Appleslice.

      We will try to do that. in the meantime, there are many images on the website showing the difference. You are right, the Jazz has a winder platform with more parallel rail bevels.

    why not tail kick on the deck pad?

      Hi there! This video was made back in the days when we did not offer a kick tail, but now the Appleslice has a kick tail as standard.

    What foil brands work the best with appletree? My local dealer sell axxis and Armstrong

      @appletreesurfboards  Год назад +1

      Hi. Both will work fine. We do work/sets mostly with Axis. But many riders use armstong as well.

    I hope I heard you right. The foil should be placed more in the back? Why is that? (Jazz)

    • @appletreesurfboards
      @appletreesurfboards  2 года назад +1

      Hi, that is very dependant on the type of foil you use. I like to have the foil slightly further back on the Jazz, as that helps with landing tricks. if the foil is too far forward it pops back up too soon and is harder to control. When wave riding it's nicer to have the foil forward, as it allows for faster turns.
